I updated my canvas a116 with flash tool and after updating now my model number have been changed to a116i ... Now I m confused that Can I install custom roms which support a116 but not a116i or not...

Which rom you are using currntly CUSTOM or Official
if you are on custom than forgot about a116i you shuld only go with a116

--for rooting..just download framaroot version 1.4.1..im uploading apk..!!
--for CWM Recovery im uploading recovery image..download it and place in root of ur sdcard then download mobile uncle tools from playstore to flash recovery..!!

Yeah I just rooted it...but I just want to know which version of cwm recovery is it is....coz I have built a recovery using droid tools and I installed the recovery v5.0.x and I wanted a latest version or TWRP recovery...can you provide the recovery or you had any links for the custom rom for MMX A102...???

currently ther is no custom rom for canvas doodle 3 a102 ....either you can ask devs for developing one or you can build you own cuatom rom ..for bulding ur own custom rom you can visit this thread..

backup your stock rom ..
there are many app available for backing up stock rom..or just create a nandroid backup using cwm recovery!!..

But the thing is I'm getting the ROM only for canvas a116 but not specially for a116i,,

Yes u can flash the unofficial kitkat rom for a116 to your a116i. And alwas use the latest philz, cwm, or twrp recovery to install kitkat
