There's an official Samsung app called S-Baro. I haven't seen any other altimeter app to compare it to, but this one is fairly accurate.
Thank you mate

But you should have internet connection to update altitude right?

Where im hiking, there does not have internet connection... does this app works just with gps?

I recommend SyPressure Pro (Barometer) v 1.12.1.
It doesn't require internet connection to update altitude, though I'm not sure how accurate this is without it.

Internet connection increase accuracy of values. You can think it a gps helper.. for true values, internet must assist gps.
As you can see, when you open app, it warns you that way.

I thought barometer and altitude are intergrated on phone like magnetic compass, which it works without internet connection.

I use my tablet a lot for taking notes in class and currently I just have the screen stay on. Does anyone know of an app that well turn the screen on using the camera similar to the one that uses the proximity sensor so I can save some battery?

Are there any :good: apps out there that take full advantage of all the sensors that the S4 has to offer? I have checked a few and they seem like spoofs.

I found one called weather signal that uses the majority of the sensors (temp, light, humidity, bero pressure, and even Mag, flux from the compass) It does the job, I particularly like the logging feature. It allows you to set how often it reads from the sensor and then stores that. It also has some social features but I've never used them.
Not affiliated with the app in any way, by the way. Just a happy customer.

This one uses some but gives live readings from the rest.

There is an app in the Play Store called "Androsensor" that utilizes all of the phone's sensors including ambient temperature and humidity.

I've been using this Free app since I received my s4. Simple and had nice widgets.

Screenshots of the link I shared. The sensor information is when you click one.

Hi, i just had my z ultra and would like to know how do u enable the smart screen? like the one's in samsung where when u flip the cover open the lcd screens turns on, and when u close it the phone turns off.
Try Gravity Screen on/off on playstore. Set it up for the book cover

And how can i do this? Thanks
The 3rd party apps are not very effective in darkness since they rely on the proximity sensor rather than magnetics. Not to mention battery life will be affected with the proximity sensor working all the time.
Yeah that's true. But Gravity doesn't affect battery too much. You can switch off all the other sensors and only keep the proximity one on for the book cover.

It's quite easy. The instructions are rather clear. I'm sure you can do it yourself
