Hi All,
Recently, I bought a Coolpad 8720L smartphone in China.
This is a TD-LTE phone with Android 4.3 installed.
This phone comes without Gapps.
I successfully rooted the phone with the Chiense version of VRoot (through PC connection), but I am unable to find a custom recovery for it, in order to install Gapps from SD card.
CWM and TWRP do not support this device yet.
This is a very popular phone in China, it is sold through China Mobile offices as their standard 4G phone.
Does anyone know where to find a custom recovery?
Thanks for your help!

go to this link for custom recovery.
if you only want to install gapps the use titanium backup or link2sd to install as system apps.
hit thanks if i helped u

Hello All,
First the device specs.
Device: QMobile A900 MTK6589 dual sim chinese device.
ROM: 4GB
OS: LG G3 Kitkat 4.4.2 rom.
Now the Problem
I am also facing this problem after attempting to re-size the partition using meteos mtk6589 rom edit apk and then did clear eMMC / Factory Reset using stock recovery (i think it formatted /data partition etc) .... Although my phone is still working properly without any issue, i am unable to root or install CWM by any means (tried mtk mobileuncle tools, tried spflash tool) but not working.
First, i tried to root using RootMaster vRoot, motochopper run.bat but failed. It did however installed SuperSU but when i start it says binary needs to be updated. I continue but it fails to update. I used RootChecker app to check the possible root but it says device is not rooted. I searched xda-forums and googled for a solution but couldnt find any. One person stated using Format whole flash to reset the partition table but i haven't done that worrying my phone will brick.
Secondly, i tried flashing cwm recovery using spflash tool (with new scatter file generated with MTKDroidTools). After flashing, it says All OK and shows green circle, however, when i reboot in to recovery, i get stock recovery and no CMW.
Please help me how to root my device and install cwm as i am unable to revert to my old backup taken with cwmr.
Regards.
Please some one ???
Anybody care to help pl? :banghead:
Still waiting for xda experts replies ....
Have a look at this thread to enhance the app storage to an acceptable limit in A900. I was also thinking of Meteos App first , then tried the procedure in the link below :

Thanks.

Sometimes after installing a rom i loose root flashing super su from recovery always fixed this problem
you should get recovery on you phone via odin then backup your stock rom then install super su zip from recovery
If you faced any problems then restore.
If you are asking if anybody tried i guess most s3 i9300 users rooted years ago on this site with old method.
You might have to be the 1st one or wait until somebody else does.
I Have a LG Optimus L7 II p715 which i bought it a year ago,but i am not satisfied with its RAM and INTERNAL STORAGE so i tried rooting it
how ever i successfully rooted with a kingo root which is a one click process and when i deleted some of the bloatware my phone stucked with a booting throwing up a SECURITY ERROR but some how using lg user tools i installed a os again it is fine now !
My question is that i need more internal space so i would like to root again but i am worried of security errors so how to prevent this security error and what exactly throws up a security error ? will it again throw up a security error if i change the partitions for increase ROM and INTERNAL STROAGE ? or just tell me if my phone does not fit for rooting and all those benefits i get from rooting ?? thankyou for everyone in advance who are going to respond in this thread !!
First, second, then you're free to do whatever you like with your phone.
doubt??

after installing kdz file
u asked to flash upgrade superuser but when i enter recovery mode cwm mode is only available
should i do it with cwm ??
or first setup twrp mode and then flash super user ?
if so then i have to run twrp zip file on cwm mode or what ??
please bear with me I am a beginner hope u would help me?
On our device it doesn't matter much which recovery you're using since there aren't many ROMs made for it, and the ones that exist, i'm pretty sure, work with both TWRP and CWM. I personally flashed TWRP from neutrondev's thread. After that I was free to flash whatever I want. TWRP is just simpler to use, atleast in my opinion. Flash the TWRP.zip in CWM recovery, turn off the phone AFTER IT'S DONE FLASHING, boot in recovery again to make sure TWRP is working for you. After that you just have to follow the specific threads for whateve you want to do with your phone.
So,I bought a new phone, and I rooted it with Kingo Root, and now it's booting continuosly.
I booted it in recovery and did a factory reset, but it didn't help.
Phone model : UMi SUPER.
Android 6.
Anyone knows what do to? :/
Kingo root has sent ur phone into bootloop so it wont even boot as system is corrupted noow u need to install custom recivery and flash any other ROM made for ur device.
How do I install custom recovery without booting the phone? :/
