Please Help! DCIM fold gone from sd card! - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

I tried to take a picture on my phone (Note2) only to see the icon that pics were saving to the internal memory, I switched to the settings to it to save to the sdcard and with the next picture i got an error saying that it could not save to the card. I looked more into the issue and all my pics that were save to the sd card were nowhere to be found in the gallery.
I attached the phone to the pc and to look through folders and dcim folder is nowhere to be found and I do have 'show hidden files and folders' option turned on. I have many pictures that mean everything to me on there and would really like to have them back. Any help please?

[Q] Unable to capture photo

Hi really need help on this one, i was having problem with the sd card and was unable to capture photo or video unless i used the phone memory to save, so browsed and found a thread saying to delete the DCIM folder which allowed me to actually take pictures and record but doesnt save to phone or storage card
I seem to solve 1 problem then another pops up please help as i got this phone for the quality of photos and video it gives you.
format the sd card and ensure you are saving to it and not the phone
Hi
Start up the camera, go to settings on the camera start up screen. (Thats the one that looks like a small gear wheel/Cog.(Touch it) It will now show the menu. at the bottom left you should see a storage icon that looks like a sd card. If its showing a phone, then touch it until it changes to the sd card. Now all your photos will go to the sd card.

ive done all the things mentioned, when i use the phone storage it works fine then when i switch to storage card the camera and video dont work i just get a message saying unable to capture photo or video. could it be the sd card thats at fault.
Use the attached tool to check for corrupt cards. Just unzip to your desktop and read the readme file

thanx will try it now

Gallery pics not working.

I bought a 32gb card for my atrix today and decided to move the pics from the internal storage to the card. I used the files manager app to access the dcim folder and copied the pics to move them to the card. All the pics transferred over but when i attempted to view them i could only see the ones from the "thumbnails" folder and all the rest were just the stock icon. I figured it might have been something weird with the card so i moved them back to dcim but am still having the same problem. Any thoughts on how to fix this issue?

Photo's and videos dissapeared?

I went to appelpop and I shot alot of pictures with my S3, but when I came home and wanted to take a look at the pictures, they weren't on my SD card/ Internal storage, I did try Recuva and Hexamob but without succes. Does anyone know how I can get my pictures back? The weirdest part is that my phone deleted these himself and I did not delete anything. The only thing I did was check on my SD card and I saw that somehow all the folders where duplicated so I deleted those, but does this even have anything to do with that my pictures aren't on my S3? My phone was also totally out of battery when I came home.
tl;dr: My photos deleted themselves how did this happen and can I get them back?
What I also noticed is that my SD Card says it has nothing on it.

[Q] Deleting pics from google+ took them out of Gallery?

Hi everyone,
I just got the M8 2 days ago. I have hundreds of pics saved to my SD card from GS3. The pictures showed up fine in the Gallery. Last night I saw new photos had been backed up into my never used google+ account. Having a moment of panic at the thought of those being "out there" I deleted all my pictures from Google+ and shut off auto back up.
This morning I go into my Gallery and see all those pictures are GONE from my Gallery!! I completely freak out. I open a file explorer and browse to SD card and in the DCIM folder they are all there - whew.
Now, here's the problem....I cannot get this pics to show up in the Gallery, no settings anywhere to "import" them...I would think they would just show up.
Thoughts?
Ok, figured it out - in case anyone else has this issue. I canged the storage location back to internal card, then closed the camera app...opened it again and changed the storage location to external SDcard and they suddenly appeared. Hope this helps some noob like me haha

I attached the phone to the pc and to look through folders and dcim folder is nowhere to be found and I do have 'show hidden files and folders' option turned on. The weird thing is that all the other folders are fine like my music for example. I have many pictures that mean everything to me on there and would really like to have them back. Any help please?
