I purchased mine yesterday. Once the WOW effect wore off, came the disappointments..
The bluetooth is terrible. Lots of static in my Plantronics Voyager Pro, and also it pairs with my Nissan BT handsfree, but only connects the first time, afterwards its not possible to connect to it anymore.
Flashed to the latest KE7, factory reset, did not help at all.
How can such an expensive phone be like this? Bluetooth is one of the most important features in a phone...
I have the same pairing issue like you. DonĀ“t get my Sony Bluetooth headset to work. Tested it with two devices.
I have car bt xplode System and i never had it so good. Always connects. It does skip if wifi is on though. I had the same issue with gs1.

Happily mine works nice, with SonyEricsson a2dp stereo headset, Belkin a2dp receiver, a nokia handsfree (not sure about the model), the file transfer is faaaaaast
It has paired everything I used it with and no problems so far.
The sound is even better than it is via my retired iphone.
does anyone tried working with SE LIVEVIEW.
My N1 had truble, and looking forword to SGS2 and don't know yet if it is OK.
Also have problem with a Plantronic Discovery 975. Statics and stuttering sound. No problem pairing though and it is the same (bad) sound quality if I'm near or 5 m away.
I'm on KE7 firmware.
Wow, should this be added to the official bug list?
For me, bluetooth intermittently skips if wifi is turned on. Once I turn wifi off, its crystal clear. This has happened on all my different bluetooth headsets so if other are experiencing the same thing, I think this is definitely an "official bug".
Mine skips, and randomly drops connection to my JVC car stereo requiring a reboot. Back and forward buttons don't work reliably either.
Anyone who says theirs is clear is wrong. They just don't have an ear for decent sound quality. The bitpool on every Android phone (including Cyanogen) is horribly low and it really shows in the mid-high tones (ie hi-hats). No-ones is different.
Worst of all, sometimes if I get out of my car, I'll get a 'hot' leg where the device is overheating from the bluetooth going nuts. I feel like it's damaging my SGS2.
Yapp, can confirm that turning of wifi stopped the stuttering. Sound isn't great but probably usable. Defenitly a bug?

Any progress on this yet? Mine drops the sound quite a lot. Remains connected but just no sound and does this about every 15 minutes, requiring bluetooth to be turned on and off.
First let me start off by saying, my bluetooth pairs well with my Motorola S7HD and the sound to ME is DECENT until you put it in your pocket and from there it gets "staticky" somewhat but not too bad.
As for the car, I have to manually pair the phone to the car stereo every time. Sometimes it would connect it to automatically. The sound to MOST of us in the car is fine. Keep in mind most of us aren't audiophiles. If it plays well, understandable, and without any static, it's a ok in my book.
The suckerpunch is that sometimes the bluetooth would drop connection now and then. I need to do a restart on the phone to get it flowing again. Meh.
If anyone finds a fix, please tell
i also get crappy sound quality, but whats worse is, that neither the mic nor the earplugs work on my BT headset when i try to answer a call! (sony ericsson mw600 headset)
only when i pause the call and resume it, the headset works!
did anyone experienced this?
solved it by disabling wifi....seems to be a common android issue
Any progress on this issue?
E.g. does 2.3.4 improve?
Hi @all,
I noticed a (bluetooth) headset issue while calling (not only in this rom, even in all roms i have tested): when wifi is on, crack sounds make every call inaudible.
It happens with plantronics voyager 520 and BMW professional (2011) car kit.
I can't believe having the best phone with such an error.
Suspending wifi, stops the crack sounds, but the quality of headset calls is much worse than with my "old" SGS1.
I use my phone two hours a day for calling. I'm not amused about this fact.
Other surveillances?

Hi I have a Clarion cx609e factory fit to my vehicle but my bluetooth handsfree reception is terrible when making/receiving calls.I can be heard clear as a bell but the reception is virtually useless. I have tried changing stereo settings but nothing seems to work. Music play back via bluetooth is fine its just phone reception.
Cheers.

So your question is?
Bad reception?
Bad connection between phone and your carkit?
How does it sound without bluetooth?

Without bluetooth phone reception is clear, even on speaker but reception is terrible via bluetooth carkit.
I have also tried my wifes factory fit bluetooth in her car and the reception is equally as bad therfore it is not the stereo.
I'm trying to run a pair of UE Boom bluetooth speakers in 'double-up' mode (where they pair together and run in stereo). When running from a MotoX, the audio drops every few seconds and comes back. When running the speakers from a Nexus4, I experience the same audio drops. If I only use one speaker at a time, there's no audio drops.
When running the speakers in double up mode from an iPhone 5, the audio does not drop at all! Is there some known issue with Bluetooth in Android that would explain why the iPhone doesn't have the same bluetooth audio issues that I'm experiencing with both Android devices? Or is it more likely that this is a bug with the speakers? My support ticket is here: http://forums.logitech.com/t5/Logit...n-Double-Up/m-p/1333545/highlight/false#M4871
Turns out I was wrong, this thread can probably be deleted.
The speakers drop audio when running from an iPhone 5 as well, just not as frequently. This is more likely an issue with the speakers than anything else.
So, I just started noticing that when I listen to Pandora in my car via bluetooth on my S6 Edge, the sound quality has degraded. I can hear some static throughout the song (constant static). It's very light, and still fine to listen to but it's not as crisp as it once was.
I tested it, turning on and off my Gear S2 while I was in the car and it seems that the quality of sound degrades when the watch is on. Has anyone else experienced this or know how to fix this?
I noticed a weird Wi-Fi speed drop on my Galaxy S9+ (Exynos) while using Bluetooth audio. The speed drop is very consistent, and persisted even after restarting the phone.
With Bluetooth enabled, connected and transmitting audio to a headset or speaker, the Wi-Fi speed drops to around 13Mbps. If I disable Bluetooth or simple stop the audio transmission, the speed goes back to the full 50Mbps my ISP is capable of.
I have done this test repeatedly with an aptX headset and a regular Bluetooth speaker and the results are the same.
Of course, the phone is on the latest update.
It happened with my s7, I haven't checked it again with s9+

Yup, 2.4GHz.
