Thanks. Do you have any spec sheet showing this online? I see the LG uk site has G4 having 4.1 LE aptX and v10 just shows 4.0 compatability, nothing about aptX

Can someone check it with rooted lg v10 and terminal emulator?

Getprop persist.service.btui.set_aptx
If 1 its activated 0 is disabled
Setprop persist...............set_aptx 1 you can enable it
Because lg flex is listed at aptx.com but its disabled.
Had massive problems with chime highs at lg flex but after activating other sound quality not really best and cant use viper4android with aptx.

Have a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60850385&postcount=3
The snapdragon processor has a WiFi module built in...But no antenna I guess? I would hardmod it into it if I could just get the software to recognize it.
Hey Everyone,
I know there is a thread on aptX support but it really didn't provide a definititive answer as to whether or not the V10 supports aptX.
Interestingly enough, many of LG's smartphones do, such as the LG G4 which the V10 shares much of it's internals with. I'm wondering if the V10 supports aptX out of the box, and if not, can it be enabled if the device is rooted?
Thanks in advance everyone!
I have a LG G5 with B&O Hifi Dac.
I am thinking of getting a LG V10 as i like the larger form factor and DAC built in.
Will i get as good sound quality out of the LG V10 with the internal DAC as i do with the LG G5 with B&O Hifi Dac ?
Also does the LG V20 have band 20 ( 800mhz ) for 4g in the UK ?
Thanks for any replies.
Do not know / hear the G5 plus DAC module. What I can say is that V10 has a superb sound and there is a free app for you to enable DAC within all the apps. Awesome. If there is a difference probably your ears won't notice
I also can't comment about the sound quality of G5 but expect to be similar to V10. If depends on me i would not go from G5 to V10 due to the chipset. Snapdragon 808 is hot chipset which caused many bootloop problems for G4 users and it also affects V10 despite not being as frequent as with G4. If you want a V series phone go from G5 to V20.
Though I never had heating issues or bootloop (H960A) I agree with neptun2, going to V20 if within your price top.
Many thanks for all your replies.
I take it the LG V20 does not have bootloop problems ?
I see it has a quad dac as well, maybe it sounds better the B & O Dac i have with my LG G5.

Tell us your definition of HD audio, because most say it's interchangeable word with Hi-Fi audio.

Do you mean HD radio by any chance?
https://hdradio.com/
The V30 DAC supports all the way up to 32 bit 384khz audio. LG's music player plays HD music tracks perfectly fine, even DSD and MQA. USB Audio Player Pro's current beta plays full Tidal MQA audio on the LG V30. Please note that this applies to wired connections. Wireless connections (Aptx-HD) are limited to 24 bit/48khz compressed.

Hi-Res audio label says almost nothing about the headphone quality.

Agree. It's a lot of marketing talk.

I've hogged this question around all phone manufacturers, and the only phone that supports it that I know of is LG V series. OPPO itself ignored the question, so if someone could test...
Also, what about aptX... does it have it?

Disappointing, I remember back in 2014 people complaining that MaxxAudio wasn't supported by BT in OPPO Find 7. It's extraordinary that these blasted companies ditch the audio jack and expect people to use BT without the system EQ, which is far superior to the bucket-load of poor third-party EQ apps.
OnePlus 7 Pro doesn't support it, according to support. Sony Xperia 1 I now know does, so it's a choice between that and LG.
Reno 10x has aptx HD via Bluetooth. It means you can enjoy almost lossless audio if you have right headphone. I have an audio Technica Bluetooth headphone with aptx HD. Works amazing with the Reno. Perfect and Crystal clear sound. The problem with aptx HD headphones is that they are expensive. The one i have is 300 $.
