Per the title, is there a way to mark a message as spam/junk? I'm using a live/hotmail address, set up as exchange (I think). This option was always present on my previous galaxy devices. I'm hoping I'm just not seeing it.
I haven't used it, but I seriously doubt there isn't a spam/junk folder. Has to be something you are missing. Is there a spot for all folders, maybe something you need to expand?
I just did a quick search for it, to try and download. I came across someone that was complaining about all of the collapsible folders. Probably where it's hidden.

You know, as stupid as it may sound, I can't find the junk folder either...
Sent from my LG-H901 using Tapatalk
You expanded all folders?
Sent from my LG-H901 using Xparent Skyblue Tapatalk 2
I can find and manually move stuff to my junk folder easy enough, but that doesn't mark the spam to be moved there automatically next time. My previous Galaxy stock mail apps all had this option and it worked effectively.
Based on prior experience, I would prefer not to have to revert to a 3rd party mail app.
<rant>
It seems like removing basic features from newer versions is becoming a trend with all types of software lately.

There is a junkmail folder in my corporate account but I cannot mark an email as junk like I used to on pretty much all my other android phones. Pretty weak.
I see Sent, outbox, draft, inbox, and even trash, but no junk/spam folder. Oh well.

Wanted to see if anyone else is having this issue since ICS. When I send an email using the stock app, and type an apostrophe, the recipient gets "&apos" instead of an apostrophe. An example would look like "wasn&apost" instead of "wasn't". I've tried 3 different keyboards, all with the same problem. Very annoying, and I'm tired of having to avoid using contractions.

Are you sure it's on your side? This happens to me with some recipients because of their email programs, even when I send from Windows Outlook. Try sending to people with different mail programs and webmail and compare.
I've seen it on at least four different recipients.

Is there no way to open an email message (stock mail client) and then swipe to the next message, and/or swipe back? I'm having to open each message, read the message, hit the back button, select the next message, rinse, repeat. Please tell me I'm missing something obvious?
Yep. That's they way it works.
Hmm. After much deliberation, I've concluded that blows goats. I'm a bit disgruntled about the current inability to root this device and correct this, and other oversights. Bah!

I've recently found k9email...way better than the stock client.
Agreed. I've been using k9 for a couple of years, and like it better than the stock app on Dinc4g. Easy to set up, multiple accts, leave some on the server in folders, some not. It just works.

It's been a while since I've looked at K9. Perhaps it's time to take another look. Thanks all.

Is their such a thing as Invisible Mode in whatsapp? And can it be done per contact ?
By Invisible mode I mean that no one can see if I'm online and can't see the last time I was online.
**Hope this is the right place for this question
No, there isn't.
Ok, maybe their is an option to prevent from people to send me messages when the only sign for that will be the second green tick?
I can think of using droid wall to block internet traffic for that app if you are rooted
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Xparent SkyBlue Tapatalk 2
I don't want to block the app just specific people traffic...
I know we have to uninstall Facebook and Messenger in order to install Facebook Home. Since Facebook is integrated with HTC, how do we accomplish this?

Once you're rooted and either s-off or installing a kernel that allows write to system, then you use an app like root explorer to delete those apps from system/app.

Try disabling the native FB ap before you download the hacked version then reset up facebook from there. Worked for me stock dNA

The version I installed from these forums included a ~17mb Katana (fb app) apk and a ~260kb fb home apk, I just installed the Katana apk (installed over old one) and then installed home apk. It said "facebook home isn't for your device yet", then went to the fb app, which said "finish setup" and then it asked me to choose HTC Sense or Facebook Home as a default launcher and I chose home, and it works perfect.
Although I highly recommend you go into apps settings and turn on forced GPU 2D rendering for Facebook, as it lags alot without it.
I got it running (actually liking it so far ) but my messages won't show the keyboard? I can't respond. The messages go all the way to the bottom.

The Messenger App just won't let me enter text in for text messages. That's the problem. I used to the guide on XDA to install the com.orca (messenger). Texts notify and display, chat heads shows up. Just no way for me to send texts thru it.

Facebook home will not let me can't drag tool bar on the top of Facebook Home so that it is not convenient to see the miss call. And it cannot change the wallpaper, strongly hoped they improved the experience quickly.

Bump...for interest. Anyone got version 1.1 apk working or as a lock screen?
Has anybody gotten their hands on the new hangouts apk? What are your initial thoughts? Care to share the love?

Found it... It's pretty awesome thus far but I've only been messing for ten minutes or so.

I think it's a pretty good step...
I like how you can select the manner in which you would like to communicate: hangouts/sms/google voice, which gets me wondering why they're saying Google Voice isn't integrated.
One thing I don't really like, is that it opens a new chat/hangout even if you're on 1 contact. I think it would be cool if you carried the conversation with the same person within 1 window regardless of method (sms/hangouts/gv), but that's just me.

Looks nice, but I'd love to see them add a widget or two. I've gotten used to my messaging thread list taking up a home screen, which is very convenient.

So I downloaded the new 2.3 APK, and I didn't get the Google Voice integration of texts and voicemail. I do have the ability to send and receive calls, but there was no prompt nor an option in settings to get texts and voicemail. Am I missing something?

I just downloaded it last night. Was never a big fan until now. I love the integrated dialer that you can use wifi to make calls. It's pretty cool. As far as your prompt, try clearing data and opening it up again as that was the first screen I saw - asking if I wanted to turn on sms. I hit yes and it imported all of my messages right from the stock app, which I promptly froze...
I got that, its now my default SMS app, but the google voice texts aren't integrated like it should be. Other are reporting being able to send texts via hangouts as your google voice number, but the only option I have is at&t.
Some are saying its by invitation only right now. No invite means the option in settings will be hidden

Oh... I got it now. Sorry, misunderstood you. Yeah, the only option I have for sms is my normal number.
Hey I figured it out. You need to have Google voice installed. Then hamgouts asks if you want to integrate google voice SMS. Say yes. Them there is a new setting in hamgouts SMS that allows you to default send from your phone number, google voice number or SMART RESPONSE which is whichever number you last used for that contact...

Mine works as intended without Google Voice installed.

Probably a bug with hangouts, but notice the capacitive buttons still respond when in a call. That is, when the prox sensor gets tripped, capacitive buttons should be disabled, but they're not. Doesn't seem like the screen is shutting off entirely. On another phone, in a dark room, I can still seem some backlight.
