Posting in large, bolded red letters is completely unnecessary.
You already started a thread about the processor here,

No need for another.

Hey... Got my Redmi 3 Pro last week, this is a fantastic device!
I read a lot about it before I bought it but there is one question left: does it support Qualcomms Quickcharge 2.0?
Read about it in another forum, they couldn't give an answer. Also there is a list made by Qualcomm about the devices that support Quickcharge, there are some Xiaomi devices but no Redmi.
Is there anyone out there who can say yes or no?
Thanks

No.
So, yes and no like always.
Well, as far as I know, the thing is like that: the soc (snap 616) does support Qualcomm QuickCharge, but the device itself doesn't, because it isn't just about having a specific processor.. It requires also a certain level of quality in all the other components (and Redmi3, being a low end device, doesn't have it)
Redmi 3 only supports the "standard" 2A quick charge.. I have never tried checking the actual charging time.. I believe it is around 2,30 to 3 hours

What do you want? OF course it does not support! Just read about that phone before asking this question .... Do you really think it would have never been written? @volpe96 gave you a answer.

Thanks... The phones price tag is low end, the specs are midrange. When you look what devices Qualcomm Quickcharge 2.0 support, then the Redmi 3 Pro could also support it https://www.qualcomm.com/documents/quick-charge-device-list
Even the bigger brother the Redmi Note 3 supports it.
@MTK6589 If you don't want to answer then let it be. I'm no noob who buys a phone, crashes it and asks in different threads how to repair it. I read a lot about the Redmi 3 Pro, but that is the only thing that wasn't clear. You're very unfriendly in my opinion, don't know why!

I know the specs are midrange.. But the quality of the materials (probably) is not.. And i am talking about the USB connector, the battery, inner filaments, and so on.. Not every piece of metal is capable of tolerating a big current through it without being damaged

Could it upgrade to MiUi 9.0?
Qualcomm confirmed that only SD821 will be compatible with Daydream view, but recently the Moto z(which has SD820) got upgraded to 7.0 nougat, and alongside that update, it's now compatible with the Daydream view VR, so.... Is there a chance the G5 will be compatible with Daydream anytime soon ?

I guess very likely via inofficial ways i.e. xda but officially questionable. The moto z is still not officially regarded as compatible afaik.

"Another Redditor who received the update confirms that it enables Daydream support, which would make the Moto Z and Z Force the first devices outside of Google's own Pixels to support the company's new VR platform"
Yeah I've seen that. Not sure whether this is intended as this info is not from an official source like moto themselves but lets hope for the best
So i've installed the 7.0 KDZ and the Daydream app+VR framework from google. I can open the app and browse stuff, but as soon as i want to go into VR mode it crashes.
Is LG G5 compatible with Daydream View on Nougat (7.0). I wouldn't thought so since LG is selling their VR headset,

Here they say:
"Google doesn’t specifically demand an OLED display in the CDD, but the need for low latency and persistency probably means that only phones with OLED panels will make the cut. That could increase even further the demand for AMOLED displays, which is already on the rise and expected to boom in 2017."
Which is much more precise, and there are the full requirements, this confirms that if the G5's IPS display doesn't respect those specification it will never support daydream.
But it also says that the only soc supported is Snapdragon 821, beside that the Moto z supports daydream, at this point who knows xD
Hello to all my beloved developers of XDA. I am here with my request to please get a general procedure of porting lineage OS ROM for Snapdragon 210 processor installed on them it will be of great help and Snapdragon 210 is one of the most reliable and cheapest LTE processor that has created a storm in the below 5K market like India, Bangladesh, Argentina, etc.
Honestly speaking I own a l y f flame 8 model having Snapdragon 210 and lollipop install on board point so I request if somebody has developed anything like TWRP recovery for this model is also appreciated to submit his ideas or developed files in this thread
So is there anyone looking at the post interested to develop a ROM for our device, the suggestions are also welcomed
Since the commencement of this forum on XDA it is likely to see that the newer devices are the devices which are lacking a very good and good user base and having trouble time to find out the right developer for it but Snapdragon 210 is not a problem that needs to be explained it when you, as it is very popular chipset. Still I am surprised to see that even after so many days of opening the form I am not getting a single response from the people on XDA I am very disappointed about it
Same 2 me i have a lyf flame 8
Me also I have also lyf flame 8
Just wondering, seeing how cc9e prices are so much lower in china now than a3 out here, whether if the roms if ever available on the a3 would be compatible on the cc9e?
How was the compatibility between previous android one phones and their china counterparts, such as a2/6x?
Ideally I would like to get my hands on a cc9e at a lower cost, but flash it with android one ROM or AOSP ROMs later, such as the Pixel Experience Rom.
are the hardwares identical, as well as bootloader unlock capability?
Thanks.
Not compatible i think since one of Xiaomi Moderator had stated and tested flashing Android One on CC9e and it didn't boot...

i can only hope. where i am i can only get the 128/4 variant which is 33% more expensive than cc9e 64/4 sold in china.
I think at around usd168 cc9e is a great bargain, especially if it can be modded.
Either that or I bite on the next redmi note 8 when it's released in a few days. I can only assume redmi will be a better seller with more support, something that doesn't look certain for cc9e/a3 with all the complaints about its display.
(i personally find no issues with it and rather liked the power savings from 720p. I'd rather have oled over lcd any day).
partition tables are different
A3 have A/B partition table , little system_a partition size ( divided into a & b ) and . . .
cc9e is A only device greater system partition
you can see more on each device fastboot Rom ( look in this file rawprogram0.xml)
and don't do what i did . . . (breaked device)
by way, is there any one who can share full device dump ??
Well the cost of A3 in India is 12999 inr which translates to 183.74 USD. The A3 is a better deal in here due to stock android. And the fastboot ROMs are not at all compatible. The partition is different in both of these
I've used my "sanders" for 40 months, all on stock. Now, just for fun, I'd like to root it. I haven't done this in six or seven years, but I know the drill. Question is: which version of TWRP, of Magisk, and above all, which ROM should I flash? Is there a decent 11, or should I stick to 10? Lineage, or is there a reasonable alternative? Dunno how many folks are still using this device, but thanks for any suggestions!
same ask here

Regarding TWRP and Magisk, always use the latest version available.
For ROMs, to each it's own. There are very stable ROMs for A 11 already.
We're on the blink of A12 arriving for us. And i can assure you there are many of us !
Read the ROM threads and the forum rules too. Your question should be on Moto G5 S plus Q & A !
Good luck !
