Google has release the latest version of playstore v.6.0.0 but when I check for updates it shows up this is the latest version. My current version is v.5.10.30 and I'm on lollipop 5.1. The network connections is pretty good on Wi-Fi. I had tried uninstalling the updates and replacing with the factory version and tried updating again but its the same. Any suggestions.

I just got my prime today and first thing I did was to update to .13 update (which was released yesterday) manually. Now it's updated and working fine but there is another notification still left in my device which says "asus system fw update service" - " a firmware has been downloaded for your device and press here to install it". I'm not sure if it is a newer update or it will try to install the same or some old update and I dont want to mess up the working setup that I now have...
Any guesses/suggestions?
It might be a camera update. When I got my Prime a couple of weeks ago, it first updated to .11 and then I got a camera update. My camera version is now 0x9900. You can check your in Settings -> About tablet.
^^ Thanks. But it's not the camera update. Camera update was a separate notification saying new camera fw update is available and I updated that and its the latest version now.
I have installed 9.4.2.11.1 manually from HoneyCome
I have no issue with freezes or lockups, but I realized It stopped giving me an OTA updates.
While some people are getting .14 update, I am still on 11.1 and even when I check for an update, Prime says there is no update for me.
Is it because I manually updated my prime? If so, how do I get OTA update back?
You are on a beta build of sorts so the actual firm ware updates don't recognize your Build # as one that needs to be updated.
What you need to do is manually up date to a current Build # and get back in the loop. I just did this myself, here are the steps. It's easy and only takes a little time.
Go to the Asus firmware download site.
http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&p=20&s=16&m=Eee+Pad+Transformer+Prime+TF201&os=&hashedid=FqCKMQDqgvSncfFM
Download the firmware update for version 13.
Then follow the instructions here to manually update (you probably already know this since you are on 11.1
http://service.asus.com/infopage.aspx?rid=18
You'll update and be on version 13 and your Prime will now "see" OTAs.
Check for firmware updates, it will say there is a new version and it will start to download 14.
ta-da!! You (and I) are back in the loop for OTAs

I will try tomorrow. Thanks!
Ok I have the same problem but .13 update is not available on asus site and trying to manual update to .14 does not work any help ?
I followed the instructions here to sim-unlock my Verizon XT1528 and am now using it on Consumer Cellular. I have disabled most of the built-in verizon and moto apps, however it seems that the OTA updater has already downloaded a system update, as it keeps repeatedly prompting me to install the update.
Will installing the update cause any issues with my current service? Will it need to be re-unlocked? Or will it continue working the way it is after the update has been installed? Or will the "other improvements" make it useless to me.
The current software version is 23.11.17.survia_verizon.verizon.en.US.vzw, build # LPI23.29-17, android version 5.1 (screenshot)
The new software version it wants to install is 23.16.5.en.US. (and it really wants to install it!).
Part of the reason I'm concerned is that according to the page on their website, "This update brings Android™ 5.1 Lollipop to your phone along with other improvements", however the phone already has 5.1 on it.
To be clear, I am talking about the verizon XT1528 Moto E 2nd Generation with the locked bootloader--it is not possible to root it or install another ROM.
Lastly, if updating will lock me out of using Consumer Cellular on it, is there any way to remove the update and/or prevent the prompt from showing up again.
@StanSt
For what it worth this is what mine is running. I'm on AT&T though. I don't know if that would make any difference or not.
Worked Fine
I updated my wife's xt1528. GSM still works.

Note that the original post was inquiring about a previous update.
There is an update in the past couple of days or so (late April - early May 2016) that brings it up to 23.201.2 etc etc , build LPIS 23.29-17.5.-2
Moto says changes are "Includes the updates of Android security patches until April 1st 2016."
GSM still works after this latest May update.
Hi everyone!
After update to version 1.3.7.17, my GTR starts to not update A-GPS.
Then, i'll try to downgrade with Notify with Amazfit, and after update near 99%, the watch data error update.
Anyone knows how to force a firmware update /downgrade??
Thanks a lote!

Just uninstall Zepp, install an older version of Zepp and it will downgrade firmware.. Fixed!
(Then update the app to the newest version (Play Store) and it will install the latest firmware on your watch again.)
Hi! Thanks, but no works... Same problem: Zepp can't install old firmware.
Notify can install other things: old resources, old GPS... And when Zepp detects it, then updates the resources and GPS.
But can't downgrade firmware or put A-GPS....
There are some method to force ( and megaforce) firmware update?

Hmm.. I've always managed it by following these steps. Have you tried several old firmware versions?
Hmz.. I think updating A-GPS stopped working all together.. I fear we have to wait for updated firmware.
I am rooted with Magisk and running the Raviole kernel. My Play System will not update past July no matter what I do. I delete all but one account on my phone and followed those instructions and still nothing. I have a 24MB update available and I've tried 20 times to download and install it but on reboot I just have the same level still. Anyone have a similar issue or know of a workaround? I even did a factory image install with the update to A13...twice.
I got on September 14(!) also the 24MB update, but then it showed I am now on August patch level.
Maybe it has something to do with your kernel?
Cheers
I checked on the kernel and that shouldn’t be the issue. I don’t know if Magisk would have any effect on it. I’m kind of out of ideas for the time being.
stock unrooted, and I just got the August Play system update yesterday. Prior to that I got 3 updates that were all dated July.
have you tried installing the apk from apkmirror ?

The apk is only a "visual" update and only displays August update, too small for the complete PlaySystem Update.
But some reported after installing, it triggered something and after a while the "real" system update was downloaded and installed.
Cheers
