Hi all gurus, need your helps.
I have just upgraded to 4.1.1 via Kies, XXDLJ1, on I9300.
Whenever I go to Applications Manager, it will has that error or auto exit.
1. I have tried wipe, it is fine, no more issue.
2. I restored all apps from titanium, it comes back
3. I uninstall apps by batch, it turns ok after some number of apps uninstalled. it is not related to particular apps but apps count matter as i tried install n uninstall a different batch of apps, same observation.
4. It always error or exit after i am in the application manager for a few seconds, it seem failed to get apps size successfully counted.
5. I have about 200 apps
Pls help, very frustrated and i tried google for long time but no obvious solution
any tips please?
Same thing with me on Samsung GT-I9300 with Android 4.1.1
I came across this problem 2 times.
The first time it happened when I installed a game "Waking Mars". The game was working fine, I played for around 20 minutes and then wanted to check free storage left after installing. But when I opened Application manager swiping was very laggy and after a few (5-10) secs it crashed with "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped" error or just closed. At that time I didn't know that it was because of "Waking Mars" and started to delete unnecessery applications I installed that day and yesterday, but problem vanished only after uninstalling "Waking Mars". Also, while this app was installed, phone's screen was glitchy and became bleached (the glitch disappeared after rebooting), like when "Natural" screen mode is activated, but it wasn't. When I had tried to install the game again, the problem came back.
The second time it was because of "Galaxy On Fire 2" installed. Same problems appeared: crashing Application manager and glitchy screen.
So I'm pretty sure the problem is because of some exact application, not because of the number of apps installed.
Both games contained their data in ".apk" file, but another Waking Mars version with separate data (cache) caused the same problem too.
By the way, funny thing is that both games are about space
P.S.: Sorry for my English, it isn't my native language.
hi casper1, did you solve the problem? how? same problem here and still persisting, after many many attempts
Hello,
I post here because the problem exists in both phones, LG G4 and LG V10. Recently my LG G4 start lagging. I mean when I type on viber a message then suddenly the keyboard freezes and after a few seconds the word is completed. When I delete a word, it takes some time to delete. Also when I click the task button to see open apps or the home button, it takes a while to respond. The same happens on scrolling facebook it lags and it takes some times to unfreeze. Clearing the apps doesnt work, I have to reboot. That happend to my LG G4 but I decided to move and buy a brand new LG V10 which goes super fast but it also has the same lag issues after few days of purchase. When I setup LG V10, I didnt asked to restore apps from LG G4, I made a fresh device setup. I installed only normal applications like facebook viber whatsapp instagram banking apps and swiftkey. No launchers no root nothing. Both devices are in latest android 6.0.
I cant understand what is going wrong and I dont see any more the option to view the running apps so I can disable some of them running on the background. I found an application wakelock detector but it requires root.
Do you have anything to suggest or anyone facing similar problem?
hello i hv lenovo phab pb1-750m phone wich i hv recently soft rooted with kingo root app. i hv changed my android id with device id changer app and then uninstalled it without writing down my original id. Now m getting " unfortunately, inmobi 5_2_1 has stopped " popup now and then though all the services are working fine. so m just curious is it a signal for some big trouble in future or i can ignore it.
I have the same problem on Android 5.1.1, Galaxy Note 3 N9005. Started happening suddenly, and it pops up once every 30 seconds or so, I can't work or do anything because the currently opened app gets interrupted by this pop-up.
Later edit: Literally 2 minutes after posting this I installed an app called "App Install History" and it showed me the apps in reverse order of installation. Second after it was an app called "Inmobi 5_2_1", which I immediately uninstalled and the error seems to have disappeared. I don't know how that app ended up on my phone, might have been installed with either GameGuardian or XGameHacker.
Probably xgamemods
It was definitely xgamemods because. I just installed it and then noticed the new apps appearance within luckypatcher after getting spammed with a luckypatcher error toast.
So this is my old phone that my mom is using since January. Before giving it to her I did a factory reset, and it worked fine. Recently since the February security update the phone freezes when typing. It will open random apps, and requires a force restart to stop the freeze. When you go to clear the tasks in the manager and restart the phone, they are all there again open (Facebook, games, camera etc). Her Google maps app was running in the background when the window popped up saying "Process System is responding. Do you want to close it?". Neither button will work, it stays frozen on the screen. A hard restart brought the phone to bootmode. Should I run it in safe mode to see if it's an app or? Was wondering if anyone has had some similar experience.
Stock rom, no root.
I have Oneplus n10 unlocked/global
With magisk 24.1
No rom(s)
Not sure what Magisk module caused this issue. My guess was MicroG-Gapps.
After a few reboots Oneplus launcher (and third party launchers) keep stopping
I keep getting XYZ keeps stopping (Weather, Google, Oneplus Account, Duo, Maps, Youtube, Google Fi,)
After a few mins of constantly tapping close app it seems that Malware-bytes keeps opening,.
I cannot load my icons/homescreen
I can sometimes get into settings via drop down notifcation bar and clicking on the gear icon.
I can get into apps and open a few apps from there.
As soon as malware-bytes starts opening itself it becomes a tug-of-war.
Say I get to open magisk malware-bytes auto opens every few sec and sometimes will stop for maybe 2mins.
I have to go back to Settings>apps>magisk>open and act quicky before malware-bytes opens again and takes me away from previous app.
I have TWRP 3.5.2_10-1_eduardoa3677 installed with a few backups pre crash. Backups do not repair this issue TWRP cannot load/access SDcard or OTG/USB
I have gone into filemanager (TWRP) and removed MicroG-Gapps obviously still everything is still crashing.
My guess is everything is just corrupt.
I was able to disable all Magisk Modules.
Any advice on restoring apps?
At this point I am leaning twords flashing DerpFestR Rom?
Edit: Reinstalled Microg-Gapps that has stopped the constant apps crashing. I cannot open anything that uses googleplay services / google. I might try to install Gapps From androidfilehost or maybe from a rom forum on XDA. hopefully that will reset google services?
