Anyone got OpenVPN running in mini pro?
I tried but it always crash at "get config" in OpenVPN-Settings, and I saw it was crashed at something with routing under console app.

hi i recovered my phone from accidentally format of the persisted data storage,
now seems fully operational, i flashed stock 1.26, rooted- sideloading- recovery and upgraded till 1.83. no problems at all
but now i have a weird issue, i use the phone and seems normal, but if i run any benchmark the scores are extremely low, i tried quadrant and smartbench, both result with a score less than the half of what was (from 2600 dropped to 1300 in quadrant for example)
loading games or webtop has become slow.
what could this be?maybe i need to fix another partition i may have damaged
as i told i tried a fresh install from zero, twice.

mmm thats weird did you install any other app? maybe SD (internal o ext) corrupted and take years read from sd try umount first and take again the test, or reflash and do a factory reset and see if helps
flashed 1.26 stock, wiped data and cache with android recovery.
formatted both sd int and ext with stock utility.

edit: replaced all, replacing 6 gave me "failed to boot 4", flashed 1.26 full
some suggestions, please leave the pds untouched. you phone will be dead when pds is broken.

ehehe i wouldn't have touched the pds if i didn't kill my phone using the script in recovery
but i noticed now that if i set setcpu to the maximum frequency 1000mhz
it display the current frequency to 501mhz only.
and with quadrant advanced i see it's the cpu benchmark part that sucks it's half the nexus one...
where is the dual core option in bios?
ps my phone was with empty pds partition before, i think that we would be able to really kill the phone only when bootloader will be unlock

I bought an Overmax Quattor 10+ tablet and I would like to flash a new recovery with touch screen support (has no volume buttons) to it then later install a custom rom.
However I can't find any information about this tablet anywhere, I would like to know if anyone knows anything about this device.
Note that this is my first android device ever, and I bought it 3 days ago.

Internal memory is actually an sdcard, at least it shows up as one. When I put in an sdcard it mounts it into /mnt/extsd, while /mnt/sdcard is the internal storage.
The tablet has no volume buttons, only power and home buttons.

What I was able to do so far
I was able to root it following this guide: I'm new so I can't post links. I followed guide on f-droid wiki.
TL;DR
1. adb shell gives root
2. i push su with adb
3. change permissions
4. with installed superuser i have root
I tested my root using root checker app and with a terminal emulator which gives me the root prompt after using su.
Got adb to work
The google usb driver didn't work on my windows desktop. However windows update found Alcatel drivers which worked.
When I boot into recovery then I the device reports itself differently. In window's device manager it changes from Alcatel Android to OV-10+, however forcing the use of the Alcatel driver enables adb to see the device.
Problems
I can't find anything about this tablet.
Has no volume buttons, only power and home buttons. Which makes recovery unusable.
adb shell doesn't work in recovery. "- exec '/system/bin/sh' failed: No such file or directory (2) -"
I tried rom manager apps from google play which could install both custom roms and custom recoveries without luck. So nothing supports it as far as I know.
Some thoughts / facts
I bought this tablet in a store in hungary.
It was made in china, but I didn't order it from china.

on my Wintec Filemate Clear T720 I flashed a bad CWM recovery (CWM-based Recovery v6.0.1.0 for A10C (LY-F1/TREQ) by flowish) was is not designed for my device. First I had think, that A10 means the processor. But it isn't. It's a another product!
Now the tablet boots only in recovery or bootloader mode.
I can't install anything, because I get the following errors:

Even, the original T720BK07-update_20121214.zip isn't installable. It's Android 4.0.3
In recovery mode, I can put adb commands, but after reboot, the tablet goes allways in CWM recovery.
I can boot into the bootloader too.
Livesuit or PhoenixUSBPro shows allways Error 0x120 or 0x162, based on the image I like to flash.

Going over Huawei kernel list it seems like the devices with MSM based chips for cpu have newer kernels 3.4 etc and it's own chips are still on 3.0.8
it would be nice if they updated that part. oh well.
A comparison of the two kernels for P2-6011 and Ascend D2-0082 shows no difference apart from make files for android, they both used the same defconfig/.config file, that gives hope for a quick kernel port but could also have changes deeper in the make/.mk files that are introduced with build directives so first I want to build the kernels and then start looking deeper into the sources.
I've found quite a few once I fixed my search parameters. Further work continues.
