Hello,
I didn't find other references about this one.
I noticed a really poor and crappy performance when Bluetooth is connected to my audio car system.
I experience subsequent and short connection drops/re-connections, also during phone calls.
In addition:
- audio volume is very low, also when all pumped up.
- I don't get recent inbound and outbound calls and contacts lists sharing.
It's a pity. Other devices work flawlessly, even some old (non smartphone) GSM devices.
Is anyone experiencing something similar?
Thanks for any info.

That's strange, I have BT constantly on as I have the phone paired with a Sony Smartwatch 3, plus I exclusively use my Jabra BT headset during my long commute for music, videos and calls and never had a single problem with the volume level, connection and sound quality.
I had the same problems you have with a damn expensive HTC M9.....
Yeah, that's strange, I suspect the audio system it's just choosy... It's likely that the phone will work OK if I try some other BT device.
I'll do it when possible.
This was just to check if someone else had the same issue.
Thanks!
Yes, I did notice the relatively low volume when I connected the phone to my Vw stereo in my car.
1. Low volume for both music and voice calls compared to my previous phone (ip5c)
2. Also the phone has a problem with avrcp profile, so it cannot display the song name/metadata on the stereo screen !
Connects to car ok but doesnt load the contacts.
ive just discovered this problem also it connects to my sony car system fine but will not load the contacts unlike my sony z1 compact.

I have the same problem in my car (Kia Ceed GT). Nothing helps. I'm waiting for some custom ROMs, I don't believe that Oxygen will ever fix all bugs.

This app seems to fix all issues:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.android_rsap.irmctest
It's the trial.
There's the paid version too.

I have the same problems in my Skoda Octavia 2015 (no ID3 tags, not possible to change track by the steering wheel buttons, sometimes stuttering, quite poor audio quality when calling). The Honor 7 works perfect with the Skoda, the iPhone from my girlfriend as well.
But I connected the OPX to a Renault and there it worked faultless.
So I don't know where's the problem... maybe the OPX doesn't support all AVRCP versions?
In my Kia AVRCP works with PowerAmp and Deezer. But I still have the same problem with contacts and calls list.

Hello all,
I have been using android on my hd2 for some time. There is 1 thing that I am unable to do which is frustrating.
Under winmo, I could listen to audio books via the Bluetooth headset, is this not possible on android?
Any help gratefully received.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
It is quite difficult to do it in Android at the moment. There are a few builds where this is possible, like forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=740963 (shubcraft) and forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=736545. However, these builds are not 'perfect' IMHO.
There are builds where you can listen to audio via bluetooth but if you get a call, it may reboot, like forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=769026.
There is no build I have found yet, that has Hotmail ActiveSync support, complete Bluetooth audio (to sync with Ford a2dp), no SOD and good battery life!
I can listen thru my Sony Ericsson HBH-DS headset just fine on following builds and phone calls also :
HyperDroid
Bangster's
mdeejay
...rest I do not run regularly but I suspect will work fine
Is the media-routing Problem similar to my Problem ?
I dont know if this issue is known, so i post it here in hope, that it will be fixed =)
I have in all Android apps wich had something to do with the sound-input/output problems. I had no sound there.
I tested FritzApp! ( a App wich allows you to use your Androidphone as an normal DECT/IP Phone with the Fritzbox!)
Either my communicationpartner hears my voice nor I hear him. Dialing works perfectly just the sound doesnt
And with MicDroid ( Something like LaDiDa for Iphone). ( Records just "Rauschen")
Can you confirm this kind of issue or am I the only Person, plz post your problems.
Or is this problem known ?
kind regards
malla

I would say that it is similar because even my BT system (on some builds) recognizes the phone, connects, plays music, dials calls, but there is no audio (in/out) once the call is connected. This is confusing because there is no issue in connecting as an audio device, the problem is in the phone device.

Hello there,
I'd like to introduce myself ! I am the typical forum's reader because I am from Spain and I usually post on spanish forums because the language but now, I have a problem that seems not to be as common as I thought:
I have a SGS2 with Vanilla Rootbox CROM running and JellyBam as 2nd rom.
I have just bought a bluetooth headset that supports AD2P and I can listen music through its "speakers" (is a system for a bike helmet) but I have tried with normal and skype calls and I cannot hear anything neither my voice is "heard" in the other side of the line.
I have tried changing the kernel: Siyah, Dorimanx and Stock kernel.
I have tried both roms (vanilla and jellybam)
I have tried it in my sister's galaxy s 2 with official rom and it works without problems so, I think that it could be an AOSP issue.
I don't know what could I try, I have been searching a similar topic but I just found old threads and just similar, not exactly the same.
So, please, could you help me with this??
Thanks in advance!!
Someone please

Alright, well, I've had a lot of trouble in this area as well, and I have found a few ways to get the Bluetooth headset working with Skype. I'll tell you now, that it's probably got more to do with Skype than whatever ROM/kernel you're running. I tried this on my stock 4.2.2 Nexus 4, and on CM10.1 stable, running Franco's Kernel r151. The headset I'm using is the LG HBS730, which has served me well in all tasks on my phone other than Skype, of course. This is a long-standing problem I've had with Skype; the conspiracy theorist inside of me wants to believe it's because Microsoft wants to push their Windows phones by purposefully making their Android client suck, but the realist in me hopes that's not true (what with the wide range of Android hardware that the Skype Client would have to support). And besides, Skype's as broken on Windows phones as it is on Android, minus the glaring battery issues.
Okay, to get the headset working, I've done the following.
1. Before I start skype, I turn my bluetooth headset off. I wait until it disconnects.
2. I turn my phone's Bluetooth off and on again. Do not reconnnect the headset yet.
3. Sign into Skype (I'm using the version that was updated on July 10, 2013, since I can't seem to get a real number on the version of this miserable app).
4. Join the call that your friend(s) are in. You will start to hear them over your phone's loudspeaker.
5. Turn your Bluetooth headset on, wait for it to connect. When it connects, Skype should automatically recognize it, and start using both the mic and the earphones on the headset, and you should be able to talk normally.
Here are some things that will annoy you, though:
When you get a regular phone call, the Skype call will be put on hold. When you end the phone call and try to rejoin the Skype call, Skype will still see the headset as connected, but will continue to use the phone's speaker and microphone.
This is going to happen a lot, and here's how to fix that:
1. Leave the call, and sign out.
2. Close the app from the little task manager thingy (If it's a Galaxy SII, just hold the home button and swipe it away).
3. Disconnect the Bluetooth headset. You can turn your bluetooth on your phone on and off again real quick if you think that helps--I have yet to determine if it does.
4. Sign back into Skype, and join the call.
5. Turn your headset back on again, and Skype should connect to the headset.
For some bizarre reason, I have not been able to connect my headset to my phone, and sign into Skype with the expectation that anything will work, at all. I wish it weren't so complicated, but it is.
Oh, and FYI, don't bother with Skype premium. Group video doesn't work on Android phones OR Windows phones (even from Windows desktop to Windows phone, my friend and I tested; way to sell broken services, Microsoft!), so if you're on-the-go a lot, it's a total waste of money. Also, if you're bike riding, you're probably just going to piss off your friends in the Skype call with all the ambient noise. The mute feature on my headset is not recognized by Skype, so I have to dig my phone out of my pocket to mute it from the screen.
I hope this helps, but more than that, I hope that one day, Microsoft will restore my faith in Skype. But considering it took them this long to revise their app to the point where Bluetooth even pretends to work, I'm not crossing my fingers.
First of all, hello!
Ok, so I've been having this problem with the phone since I received it: When I want to transfer the audio of the phone to an LG Home Cinema via Bluetooth, the audio doesn't sound properly (sometimes nothing comes out of the speakers and sometimes half of a second of the song plays but very distorted, but in the phone it is displayed that the song is playing). I tried to pair the audio of the phone with a mini speaker that also supports Bluetooth and the Redmi Note 2 works just fine with it.
I've changed the rom several times since I bought the phone (MIUI always, I'm currently on 7.1.0 Stable) but the issue is still there.
My previous phone, a Mi3, worked well with the Home Cinema and also every other phone that I link to the speakers also work well so it's definitely a problem with the Redmi Note 2 and this LG Home Cinema in particular.
Any suggestions or thoughts on this?
Thank you!
I am having the same issue with bluetooth headphones...audio stuttering is horrible + some peak distortion...I`ve tried anything (change build.prop, disable wifi, disable bluetooth log) but no change.
The headphones are not defective as they work properly with PC or other device with android 4.2.2.
Same here. Annoying stuttering in bluetooth headset.
I'm using weekly dev builds from xiaomi.eu
No problems here with the global developer version. Works like a charm with Bose Soundlink Mini and Creative T12 Wireless.
Bluetooth stuttering....

Does work fine with miui though... BUT.
For me so far, bluetooth audio stutters very rarely, but it does stutter now and then. No distortion, however.
Currently on xiaomi.eu v6.2.25 about to move on to v6.3.24 beta
I've searched high and low, seems like no one else is having an issue?! When I connect to my car radio via Bluetooth every once In a while the audio will blank out for 5-10 seconds and never pause. And it would constantly happen. I cleared bluetooth data, unpaired and paired again, shut off WiFi, connected and reconnected again and again.. Nothing works. These things worked temporarily but then would continue the problem. Do I have a bad device or is there a way to fix this??. Please and thank you.
same problem with bracelet iwown i5+
have u tried turn visibility to always visible? i've got issue with my miband pulse too, but after turned on the visibility, it works like charm
I actually think the versions of bluetooth don't match up. I used my phone with a lighter port bluetooth fm transmitter and it works fine. I'll try to keep my visibility to always on and see if that works. If not, I'll just have to connect via aux or USB.. ? thanks!
i have the same problem with my honor 5C and Renault R LINK , do you resolve this ?
its not always ur device ! might be the reception ! make sure to try somewhere else !
I do not have issue with bluetooth with my car. So may be your réception part has something weird...
Did you also clean the cache of bluetooth midi service with Titanium backup for exemple ?
Cleaning it from settings>application did not solve some issue when i had pairing issue.

It is definitely the reception.
On my Honor 5X (L24), I've been getting the same Bluetooth problems with both the stock EMUI 4 ROM and CM13 nightlies ever since I bought the phone. In addition to the Bluetooth audio cutting out randomly, even the pitch of whatever is playing fluctuates. Reception should not be an issue, as I always place my phone right next to the aftermarket radio I installed. These issues do not occur with my Galaxy S4 or Lumia 640, so I believe there is something wrong with the 5X.

Hey everyone,
I've seen a few mentions of this issue but would like to have a thread to specifically discuss it and maybe find a resolution.
After pairing a bluetooth music device for the first time it will play just fine.
Come back some time later, the device reconnects automatically but no sound will play (even though your music app shows that the track is playing).
Turn off bluetooth, or just disable media streaming for the device, turn back on/reenable and sound comes back.
This is an extremely annoying issue that wasn't present on my last Android 5.x.x device. I'll forget about it until I'm driving and then have to wait until I stop to safely restart bluetooth.
Please let's keep this topic reserved for this specific bluetooth issue. If you have a different issue please start another thread.
My device: Spring LG G5 (LS992) on 6.0.1
Notes so far:
Simply restarting the phone doesn't fix it.
Unconfirmed - Happens only after switching bluetooth devices (going from your car, to your home stereo, and then back out in the car). I switch vehicles a lot for my job.
Suggestion here is to clear app data for Google Connectivity Services. Will try today.
Like mentioned in the other topic I might have the same issue on my Nexus 5 (2013) with Android 6.0.1 and parrot carkit. How is your Bluetooth volume on the phone when you start playing music? To me it seemed to be worse when Bluetooth volume was muted actually.

I have the same problem. Came from a G4, which worked fine playing pandora in my car. On my G5, I start pandora on the dash app, it opens on the phone in accessory mode as normal. Everything looks like it's playing ...dash shows what's playing and all, but no sound. I haven't tried the restarting bluetooth/media audio on the bluetooth device settings, but I'll try that after work to confirm it's the exact same problem.
I have been experiencing this issue on my LG G5. I have phone audio, but no media audio. The car display shows whatever is playing on the phone, including the time code as a song advances for instance, but no sound. I have checked in bluetooth settings to ensure both phone and audio are on. I've disconnected and reconnected. It did work 1 time, but that's it. I've had the phone for a little over 2 weeks and its fully updated.
I have the Same issue in my car, everytime i need to disable/Enable Bluetooth to get Sound working.

Bluetooth has been the one problem I have with this phone. I lose connectivity to my Moto 360, my headphones need to be unpaired before I can use them again, it's seriously driving me nuts.
I am having momentary phone audio cut out when using my car BT. The radio will come back on for several seconds and the the phone will come back. I am wondering if the VoLTE function might have something to do with this. I have disabled VoLTE so I can test it although I really have no clue if it is related.
I believe this has to do with having 2 devices connected. The 1st will act as phone connection and the 2nd as audio only. The phone might think for some reason you still are connected to both or you actually have a lot of range in one of them and remains on.
Disabling VoLTE resolved my problem.

First of all let me say that folks are reporting different issues with Bluetooth. Mine was that when connected in my car I would lose phone audio for 10 or 20 seconds repeatedly. The radio audio would come back on and after a while the phone audio would come back.
VoLTE, as I understand it, allows voice and data simultaneouly. I disabled it on my G5 under settings/call/VoLTE. Once you disable it you will no longer see "HD" displayed in you dialer links. My problem resolved completely. I called T-mo this morning and cancelled my replacement handset.

If you disable that, you lose Band 12 in America on T-Mobile, which I need since I drive through some pretty backwoods places where Band 12 is my only way not to switch to Edge.

VoLTE may not even be your related to your problem. I would try disabling it just to troubleshoot.
FYI still having to turn bluetooth off and on very often.
It does only seem to happen when I connect from one device to another i.e. I listen in my car and later that night I use my bluetooth speaker. Phone thinks music is playing on the speaker but no sound from speaker. Turning bluetooth off and back on fixes immediately (after reconnect)

I have Sony xperia z3 and only use Bluetooth with one device and have the same issues. Only started with 6.0 upgrade
I have the same problem on my H850:
When I turn on my headset, it will show "connected to call audio" in Bluetooth settings (my bluetooth is always on due to my Pebble smartwatch). No matter how many times I turn on and off my headset, it will always only connect to call audio, despite the option "use for media audio" being activated. If I unpair it and pair it, it connects to both for this one time, before going back to the previous behavior. If I turn bBluetooth off and on again, it will connect to both call and media audio again for this one time before returning to the previous behavior.
Since it's the intl version, there is no VoLTE option.
Is there a way (settings or using an app) to fix this and force the phone to connect media audio every time?
I have the exact same issue, except that I have an android wear watch.
My only solution so far is disabling call audio for the G5 in the Bluetooth definition, but that really sucks.
Have you found any solution?
This is a known issue with LG G5 and the sad thing is that LG doesn't have a clue. Unpairing and repairing is the only solution until Android 7 upgrade. I went as far as resetting to factory defaults, T-Mobile even replaced my device..same issue. **** SOLVED WITH ANDROID 7 ****
I still have the same issue with it showing as playing with no sound and it continues happening even after the Android 7 upgrade. Issue is intermittent, restarting phone or headset or disabling and reenabling BT are only solutions I've found so far. I confirmed the vol is on high on both device and receiver.
Happens on my Kia Soul, Sony SBH50 and SBH52. The only BT devices I don't seem to have the issue with is my old MW600s, so it may be related to BT version on the headsets. May be related to switching devices sometimes, but I've had it occur when using only one device, but having made a call, or left range with the headset away from my G5. Calls still have audio but Stereo/Media BT profile doesn't operate, even though both ends make it seem as if it does.
Thanks,
Peter
