Hello,
Since I'm new here, I don't yet know the OP for supporting the devs working to root phones, so I'd like to know what the senior members recommend.
I understand when someone finds a way to root, it's recommended that we reward them through their PayPal button, but is there anything we can do during the lead-up to that? Donations? Resources?
I want to support in any way I can, is all.

For future reference try not to post in the development section. Put your questions in Q&A section.
And don't think that throwing money at the developers is going to speed the process. The best devs on this site do it for fun rather than money.

That makes sense. When I hear of people feeding Sprint reps in exchange for information, I'd like to kick some money their way to help with it.

But if this forum is only for discussion specifically relating to the technical specifications of the phone, my apologies.

I request something or I ask for something and give out money in order to say thanks. It's close to a buying request maybe, but not selling nor trading. Also, if that violates the rules, what can I do then? I need someone to compile that for me and I wanna thank the guy who spends his time doing that in form of money.

Actually, that is, by definition, trading. You want to pay someone for a service, that's trading, and that is not allowed here. If someone can't/won't compile the recovery for you then you'll have to learn how to do it yourself.

You can't. Paying a member for a device is not allowed, as I've already stated numerous times. We allow members to donate to other members as a means of saying thankyou for the work they offer to the community in general, but paying for a specific service isn't allowed here. Here's a link to the XDA rules:
