I have got my hands on a great new Huawei terminal called Enjoy 5, which Huawei officially only sell in China.
And therein lies the issue - it is with a Chinese version of Android, which does not have any Google services on it!
One of the beauties of this terminal is that just about all blurware is installed in the RAM, so it can easily be erased, but things like e.g. browser, maps and app store are all "home grown" Chinese products.
Initially I would love to get Google Play on the terminal, which I know may demand a rooting of the terminal, but as it runs Android 5.1, this is apparently not as simple as it sound.
The terminal has a MediaTek MT6735 processor, 2 GB ROM, 16 GB RAM, 5/13MP cameras, has "HotKnot" (which I do not yet know how works and what I am to use it for - though it sound smart with "touch connection") and run LTE, 3G and 2G.
Does any one have any idea about how I can route this terminal or simply get Google Play Store to run on the terminal?
I second this question.
the Huawei Enjoy 5 is a great phone, the only thing missing is Google play (services).
I have already tried flashing the Gapps, installing the APK's, but nothing seems to be able to get me logged in to Google.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
You can refer to this tutorial: http://www.gizok.com/blog/huawei-mobile-phone-iInstall-all-the-google-apps/
Hi Krystyna,
thanks for quick answer.
I tried your solution, but found it installed an outdated version of Play services etc. on my my phone
the good news is that it also installed the login, which was needed, and when I updated both play store and Play services, I could at least use Gmail and Maps
the play store itself still is stuck on "Check you connection and try again" even though it shows I am logged in.
any suggestion as to how to fix this? the phone has no root strategy yet....
thanks in advance, already getting closer!

Same issue here.
Play store or Google Installer seems to be blocked, in my case the apps dont even start.
I tried also with DC - Unlocker but the program doesnt find the phone
Did you find a solution?
Thanks
I am wondering if there are people out there who got a bit further already?
I know there are roms out there which do have play store, but cannot get them installed... Partition table wrong...
Anyone succeeded?

Though I have not succeeded yet, I have now asked Huawei for help to first unlock the boot loader and then - hopefully - root it.
The phone (TIT-AL00) is now on the official list of approved terminals from Google!
Google Services Framework WORKED!
I live in Russia, and bought the phone Huawei Enjoy 5 (TIT-AL00).
I needed Google Services Framework.
To install GAPPS (Google Apps) required custom recovery.
My friend Jemmini was able to port CWM and TWRP recovery, and create original recovery. Original recovery is needed to install the firmware version B128 from the official site (update.zip).
I can not describe in detail the installation recovery. I suggest to look for a detailed description of the themes for other phones. Or gordonnorth will help

To install CWM recovery or TWRP recovery you need to unlock the bootloader.
The order of installation is as follows:
1. Unlock the bootloader
2. Flash CWM recovery or TWRP recovery via fastboot
3. Install GAPPS from zip-file. After installing the first 5 minutes of loading is very slow. This is normal.
4. Enjoy. Google Services Framework worked.
When installing SuperSU you can NOT get ROOT!!!
You will receive a cyclic reboot. And for the restoration of the phone need flash original recovery, and then install the firmware from the official site (update.zip).
GAPPS file can be downloaded from http://opengapps.org. Platform: ARM64, Android 5.1, variant: pico

Indeed. yesterday with help of andrik22 I managed to get GAPPS installed through CWM on the Enjoy 5
I will post a more detailed guide later, when I am off work
Thank you Gordon!
I hope that with my help, you tell procedure to unlock and install.
A potential solution?
Apparently there is a Chinese Rooting tool, apparently called "Odd Rabbit" or "Odd Rabbit Brush", which not only root the terminals but also unlock the bootloade in one process - but I have only been able to find it in a Chinese version on (I can not yet post links, do therefor this format) 7to.cn/
Does any one know if this software is available in an English version?

Hi.
I don't know if this tool has changed anything in the last 2 weeks, but when I tried it, it did not root nor install different bootloader for my device (Enjoy 5)
I will post the guide this evening, to do it manually (have been a bit busy at work the last couple of days) )

Hi Andrik, how did you unlock the bootloader?
To get the unlock code from Huawei, you need the "product ID" which you get by firing up the dialpad and entering the *#*#1357946#*#* code, and then it is suppose to show up in the dialer - but on my phone it simply revert to the home screen without showing the code!

Could someone with this device help me out and post screenshots of the settings screens. I'm looking for what would normally be "Settings->Security->Apps with usage access".
Does a similar settings path exist on this device to allow an app usage access?

Another brick I know...
I tried to install TeamWin, found this post on htcmania com showthread.php?t=591253.
Anyway on step 4. Ejecuta windows.bat the install-script I mess up recovery.img I suppose.
When I Power ON phone, I got this message:
Image signature verify fail!
Your boot/recovery image may have an incorrect signature.
...
Only have access to famous "Pink screen", tried many of update.app but every time it fails.
Also, is it necessary to unlock bootloader for this update.app, or to do something else, because it keeps fail on every firmware for G510 and Y300 that I try by now? I'm newbie to this, so sorry if is this stupid question (which I guess it is).
Is there any solution for this, any suggestions guys? Please, I'm close to breakdown.
----
Almost sure that I'm doing something wrong, tried these ROMs below (maybe some other also, but I wrote these in note later) and same error "Fail" .
B165
B166
B173
B178
B189
Anyone with idea?
I manage somehow (friend bought at same time) to find out potential ROM version, B195.
Googled for it, but no success by now.
To be specific: V100R001C00B195
Does someone have a link maybe?
Have a friend who works in phone service. They have an original ROM and he Flash it.
So for the future people who have same problem, here is explanation which I found on net:
"FAIL VERIFY IMAGE SIGNATURE":
The explanation is that the original recovery has a function to install zips with a particular firm, in this case should be Huawei.
However, almost all the ROMS officers who have taken both individual operators and Huawei for this phone have been format Update.app, installable using the "Firmware installer" phone and all had considerable weight.
But there have been some cases in which any operator like Orange Spain, used a zip supplied via OTA (like Update.app ) weighing approximately 90 MB (A minor update) whose function is to update the compilation B179 to B195, and what happens with this update zip format, is that the system makes a brief signature verification bootloader and the recovery and boot.img.
If the system detects that the Bootloader, the recovery or boot.img not have the original signature of Huawei or have been inserted through a hack or the like without having unlocked the bootloader officially, we will automatically display the following message after trying to install "Image Verify signature fail" in red letters.
The reason is surely and as I said before, we have unlocked the bootloader by an unofficial method or change some of those partitions by some hack before installing the zip, and this zip file contains the bootloader, recovery and boot.img because of their small weight, ie, is not able to replace him as the Update.app to return to the originals and leave us avoid this error signature verification.
A Update.app Bootloader completely regenerates us, so they used to solve 90% of problems. In this case we have no salvation unless there is a compilation format've tried installing Update.app or higher, and all other Update.app will Fail in the installation.
In the case of Orange model no Update.app the B195 is no compilation or compilation superior format Update.app , so we must take the SAT to have it fixed, and of course, do as we do not know what happened if we submit to third grade.
Solution is to find adequate ROM and flash with it. Mine was as I mention V100R001C00B195 and on net I can't find that one, so phone service was my destiny. Hope someone else will have more luck.
Regards!

Hi,
as above, the same problem with my sons G510. He has a Huawei G510-0100 phone, with a 4.1.1 Android, Vodafone (European)version.
I'd try to flash TWRP to install a custom ROM, but the phone now shows only that the image/recovery signature is invalid. The phone doesn't starts, can't enter in fastboot or recovery mode, but I can acces the pink screen. Thats all, the phone is stucked there.
How can I repare this halfbricked device?
(PS.
From Huawei's webpage I downloaded the factory G510-0200 Kernel (3.4.0 version, .rar file).
My phone is G510-0100 version.)
Solved.
I had the same problem. I installed custom recovery and I woke up with error "Your boot/recovery image may have an incorect signature" bla, bla, bla.
How solved I? Simple.
You must reflash stock rom for your Huawei Ascend G510 (0100, 0200 or 0251). If not know your version? Don't wory. Download and flash everyone version until result is ok.
All you need find here http://huawei-g510.com/
NOTE: this OP subject was originally "[HELP] ZTE nubia Z7 Max (NX505J) stock ROM v3.09 update report";
- for the "Upgrade to paolothlw8's Unofficial CM12.1 Lollipop v5.1.1 V3 report", see post #22.
- for the Stock v3.19 update, see post #4.
I updated my Nubia Z7 Max from BB72's v1.64 custom KitKat 4.4.2 ROM directly to the latest stock Nubia v3.09, with Lollipop 5.0.
I want to leave here a brief account, so others know this can be done and it is not an overly complicated procedure. But, please, pay attention, because this will completely reformat and factory reset your device -- so, if you want to keep anything on the phone, backup before!
For starters, the downloads and instructions I used (mostly ):
Nubia Z7 Max v3.09 (free registration required for download)
http://www.needrom.com/download/nubia-z7-max-v3-09/
Be sure to access *#7678# dialer menu to enable both ports before and after flashing!
Needrom instructions are quite detailed and accurate, so I'll just summarize the main steps:
Install ZTE mobile USB drivers. (I used 'Drivers All In One Tool By Tigreos')
Download and install 'Nubia Tool Updater V2.0.0' in your Windows computer.
Download 'NX505J_CNCommon_V3.09.rar' file on your computer and unpack.
Run the installed 'Nubia Tool Updater V2.0.0' as administrator (right click...) and select the path were you unpacked NX505J_CNCommon_V3.09.rar.
Watch Needrom's pictures carefully to know when you're ready to proceed (summary picture below, you might need a few tries...).

The remaining button is "Open"......
My findings:
- Drivers MUST be updated for this to work, so you'll have to uninstall previous versions;
- The phone must be connected to computer in powered state, before the Updater is run;
- I had two hiccups after installation, because (I thought) the phone didn't boot and got stuck in the Chinese red letters after the boot animation;
- I solved this by connecting phone to computer again, a Chinese message with a counter appeared, and I let it finish (it counted to 21);
- Tigreos tool also provides for TWRP v2.8.6.0 quick installation (reboot required);
- TWRP provides ROOT (reboot required);
- Even after rooting adb doesn't push files (system RO, no ROOT in shell), so I needed an SD card to get GApps on phone;
- This is caused by ROM being a production build (you'll get a message saying thus: "adbd cannot run as root in production builds");
- After you flash GApps via TWRP, setup and get updated busybox from the Play store, as well as [THREAD="1687590"]adbd-insecure[/THREAD] to solve the problem;
- Not all languages are present (I use English) and some features will be presented with Chinese characters -- so, for a smoother experience, some tweaking will be required...
All in all a fast and stable new start for this great phone, which is being let down for the lack of Western locales support.
Bear in mind that various other information sources exist here at the forum, as well as elsewhere; I'll just list a couple here for the benefit of newcomers...

System details
AnTuTu Global Score

EDIT: list of ROM included mostly Chinese apps I have removed with Titanium Backup without major(!) problems...
Amap.apk
Baidu Map.apk

MeiTuan.apk
QQ.apk
Qunar Travel.apk
Sogou Input Method.apk
Sohu TV.apk
Tencent Video.apk
Today's Headline.apk
vip.com.apk
WeChat.apk
Weibo.apk
Mostly Chinese apps I was unable to remove/replace because they caused stuff I need to stop working:
nubia_Music.apk (replaces default Android Music)
nubia_Tms.apk (replaces the default Android browser, but is in fact QQ browser, which I didn't manage to replace with either AOSP or CM default browser).
(!) Be forewarned, though, that there might be unforeseen complications...
Another thing: I seem to have lost the ability to send audio file metadata (filenames, ID3 tags and such) over Bluetooth. If anyone happens to know how to solve, please post. TIA.
Upgrade path to Stock v3.19 successfully completed
As the title implies, I have now upgraded my device to the latest Stock version being offered on Needrom.com.
I lost hours at the beginning because Nubia Upgrade Tool kept giving me the "Internal Modem Error" (see the Italian instructions for solving it here)...
So here's the upgrades list (ATTENTION: serially upgrading appears to be mandatory and you always have to unroot via modded TWRP from v3.15 up):
Stock v3.15 -- http://www.needrom.com/download/nubia-z7-max-v3-15/
Stock v3.17 -- http://www.needrom.com/download/z7-max/
Stock v3.18 -- http://www.needrom.com/download/ota-update-v3-18/
Stock v3.19 -- http://www.needrom.com/download/ota-update-v3-19/
After completion I installed GApps (Pico v5, from first link above) and, for more governors and tweaking options, the NZ7ML kernel v1.3 (the only Lollipop compatible version!).
The final app list (user+system) after GApps installation, updating and debloating (uninstall of every Chinese user app) is at http://pastebin.com/w9DxJMuq.
One of the benefits I am already seeing is improved battery -- only 2% gone after 7 hours, with no screen time...

There are two downloads: "Official Stock Z7 Max v.3.17" is the OTA ROM update, and "TWRP special OTA", which is a modded TWRP recovery installer that you need to put on the phone before upgrading.
Copy the first package to your phone storage -- remembering where you put it; for easy retrieval, my advice is to put it at the root of the phone's internal storage.
Unpack the second package to a folder on your computer and execute the only executable you'll find inside as administrator; if the phone drivers are installed and an ADB connection is achieved, upon pressing "2" the upgrade to the modded TWRP recovery will be performed.
Reboot to Recovery and you should see the TWRP recovery v2.8.6.0 modded by Stalence (it will ask for language settings, choose English, as I summon you don't understand Chinese).
Touch the "Advanced" button, then "Stalence Tools" and "Unroot" -- it will tell you if it succeeded; re-rooting is just a matter of choosing the appropriate option.
Return to the initial screen (touch "Home" or press back button until you arrive), touch "Install", locate the OTA ROM update package and swipe to flash.
In case any of these steps shows some error, just reboot to recovery and do it again (repeat the step).
After doing all, reboot to system and be very, very patient, because it will take a long time to finish booting... Done! :fingers-crossed:
and you can also download Official Stock Z7 Max v.3.20 from here (853.1 MB) and just flash with any recovery
Any changelog for v3.20?
Directly updated to 3.20
And what is the procedure for updating to 3.20? Does it require 3.19 or it can be directly installed from 3.15?
I flashed 3.20 over 3.15 using TWRP and its directly updated. Working fine as of now. Yet to see the improvements over 3.15. Thanks all!
hi. can someone help me out and upload the drivers in the phone itself somewhere? all the available drivers on the web are incompatible with my z7 max. the only one that worked was the one inside the phone. when i installed cm 12, apparently i lost the driver too. i would really appreciate it if someone could upload the driver from the virtual cd-rom the z7max creates. thanks.
i've attached it to this post. hopefully it takes the attachment.

thanks. i apologize for that, i was really frustrated with my phone and in a hurry. i managed to get them after all and installed the new rom (3.15). i just want to highlight something that was mentioned in installation guides, but should be mentioned more than once and with a very big RED FONT!!
disconnect every external hard disk and flash drive from your computer before starting the installation. i almost lost 4 tbs of data on 2 hard disks because i didn't pay attention to this. the app will erase every partition on your external hdd and might create 20-30 partitions on it! and if that happens getting your data back is possible using partition recovery software like testdisk, partition find&mount ...etc.
oops, totally forgot about that. if i'm not mistaken, it was from (NX505J_CNCommon_V2.13) which was the lollipop beta (very unstable).
i have since already updated my phone to v3.15.
v3.15 looks stable so far. from the nubia.cn forums, it seems like anything above 3.15 has been buggy for them (from what my google translate says). so, i have stayed on 3.15.
Amazingly, the best thing so far is that my notifications are all working and battery life does seem to be a bit better. Most of the apps I use also look to be staying resident better and
crashing less.
The built in music player does still seem buggy. Seems to stop/crash quite a bit (especially when I swap over to a game which has music turned off).

As the thread implies, I'm now on v3.19, which I find by far to be the best I have tried (including vanilla stock and BB72 rehashes). Maybe the fact that I run paolothlw8's modded kernel is the key factor here, I don't know.
Now, if only it wasn't bridled with so many Chinese (cr)Apps... :silly:

Someone complained of the same at Adroidiani, so I took the precaution of keeping the Nubia Music APK shared as solution -- you can find it at http://mir.cr/PWWLWUYN...
I haven't tested it, since the version in the current ROM is the best ever for me, but you might want to try it...
And please do tell us if you do.

Is that the nubia setup wizard? I don't remember it having UK as a country to select ... I thought it was just language. Which 309 or 315 did you install? I had no issues install 315 from needrom and then using the paranoidandroid link for gapps. Maybe try it again?
also, you don't need to apply gapps right away. try letting the nubia go through setup wizard first. then go the temporary recovery and install gapps later (if you haven't tried that)
Thanks for this guide and your support.
I used it to go from 1.59 ->1.64 ->3.09 ->3.22
Had some time consuming issues along the way (4-5 hours..) - bootloop when going from 1.59 ->1.64 and loosing IMEI when going from 3.09-> 3.22.
the first issue was finally solved by flashing stock ROM from side load and the second issue was solved by extracting the nv.qcn file from the nubia backup folder under C: and writing it to the phone using QPST tools.
So if anyone hit one of these walls..
Does anyone have any issues with the bluetooth and WiFi?
I'm having an issue with the bluetooth where i can't pair things as it doesn't bring up the popup screen to write the PIN.
The WiFi connection is not stable.

Hi Pnin
which parameters did you put into the kernel? (I'm using Trickster mod)
Thanks.
What it says in the title. I got the phone from a guy, who I assume got it from aliexpress (because it had gifts with it) or imported some other way. The phone came in fully packed up, in all kinds of stickers and protective thingies and in it's box, with all the equipment packaged. Even has the protective thing (can't remember the eng word) over the screen still, so I'm pretty sure the phone is new and not used.
Anyway, if I'm not wrong the bootloader shows its already unlocked. Now my first goal is to root it, and I saw a lot of guides, and decided to follow these here but theres separate guides for officially unlocked and unofficially. My phone came like this so I don't know which is it.

So questions:
1. How can I know whether its officially unlocked or unofficially?
2. Did I decide to follow the right guide or is there better ones?
3. My MTP and other drivers isn't working. I have Windows 7 Ultimate. EDIT: After installing a bunch of drivers I found, including the Mi PC Suite, universal adb drivers, and what not, MTP appears to be working, I can access the phone just fine and theres no exclamation mark over it like in "Devices and Printers". But I have some exclamation marks in device manager, as seen on screenshot. I'm not sure if "Unknown Device" is related. It could have been there before the phone, but ADB is new.
4. Are these exclamation marks an issue for following the guides to root and flash? The fastboot commands from screenshots work fine.
Phone Info:
- Android Version 5.1.1
- MIUI Version MIUI Global 7.3 | Stable
Sorry for the long post.

1. If you buy it new the boot loader should be LOCKED , according to your screenshot it has been unlocked either by the seller or who knows but it's unlocked.
2. that guide is for installing twrp (custom recovery) not unlocking- but yeah to root you need to install twrp then supersu
https://download.chainfire.eu/969/SuperSU/
3. to get the correct drivers install MI PC Suite it has mostly everything you need for this device.
4. you shouldn't have any exclamation marks, try installing Mi Pc Suite.

1. Yes but the problem is I don't know whether its officially unlocked or unofficially unlocked, and its important because the guides for rooting and flashing twrp are different. That's what I'd like to know, but don't know how.
2. Yep. Like I said I'd like to root it, and later probably flash a CM rom, but I need TWRP first.
3. Already installed Mi PC Suite (forgot to write "Mi" in the Mi PC Suite, I'll correct that), and its working. Kind of. I can't make a backup, and sometimes it tells me theres an update when I plug the phone in (I'm reluctant to update atm), but when I press the "Update" it says the firmware is up to date. The rest of the functions seem to be working, like screencast or viewing the storage.
4. The exclamation mark is related to ADB, I don't know if Mi PC Suite should be installing that too, but anyway its there.
@ChrisBunny
There is no way to tell what method was used to unlock your phone. More than likely it is unofficial.
Your getting exclamation marks because some drivers haven't been installed properly, you may have to uninstall and reinstall to get the right versions installed.
What is the reported MIUI version in settings about phone? If your not getting something with four numbers (X.X.X.X). You could possibly have a vendor rom. Which may have spyware etc and you won't get updates.

I'm assuming its unofficial too. If its from aliexpress I doubt they wait for official unlock for each phone they ship.
Also it came with Google Apps and MIUI apps. Didn't see chinese kanji on any apps or menu.
The MIUI version is "MIUI Global 7.3 | Stable" and under it says "7.3.6.0.0(LHOCNDD)".
Most aliexpress redmi note 3 pro pages say something like "we will open the original box to check the phone and install Multi-language ROM and Google play store,If you have special requests about the original box, please leave us a message" and also "And Many Multi-language ROM not support OTA Update" whatever OTA Update is. Over-the-air I assume. Which means the built in "Update" app shouldn't work. Which is fine, my old phone LG Optimus L7 II Prime didn't support OTA either. I didn't tap it yet in case it started updating right away, and I don't want to change anything without first backing up the entire rom, just in case, but don't know how to do that yet.

That is definitely a Vendor Rom.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/wiki/roms/unofficial
Sort out your drivers first.
Then flash an official global developer rom, which might re-lock your bootloader and then unlock officially.

I assume you don't have the mediatek version of RN3?.

"also adware and bloatware, which are annoying and slow the phone down. This ROM is also buggy and unoptimised, so some things might not work (e.g. battery showing negative percentage or the rear LED not working at all), you might encounter issues and inconsistencies (e.g. freezing, lagging)" funny I'm not experiencing any of that. No bloatware except a couple Mi stuff and usual system apps you'd find on the phone like Calendar and explorer and what not. The only new thing I didn't see on other phones is "Security" app. It appears to be a very clean vendor rom then. Its super fast and smooth I'm impressed.
Yes the phone is Pro version, with Snapdragon. Are the pictures I posted not visible?
If its already unlocked unofficially, should I be relocking it and then applying for an unlock? Isn't it simpler to just follow the unofficial guide for flashing?

I didn't notice the third image posted.
DO NOT lock it while on a vendor rom.
Is it up to yourself, if you want it unlocked officially or not. You just need to be careful when flashing.
I still get rid of the vendor rom. If you want future updates and to avoid unknown/unseen future bugs.

Yeah but is there any disadvantages to having an unofficial unlock over official? If not then I guess I'll just be careful following the unofficial guide for flashing. If there is disadvantages then I'll apply for official unlock and just wait.
I do want to get rid of this rom at some point and try CM if theres a fully functional one, but for now I'd just like TWRP and root on it.

With unofficial unlock you have to be very precautious while flashing MIUI based rom else hard brick later is not the case for official unlock
Newest Nougat rom is availabe at here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7/development/rom-axvy-rom-sm-j7108-stable-sexy-af-t3687461
I posted previously for j7108 https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7/development/j7108-android-6-0-1-marshmallow-rom-t3542561
This Rom contain Google Play too.
Bloatware is heavily removed, after flash this Rom you will able to uninstall them!
- using newest update from Samsung
- Camera seem to focus faster and able to capture clearer picture
- phone app has new transition
Lot of preloaded apps/bloatwares are removed properly, it will be very long if I list them all.
Tips for keyboard:
Set Keyboard Swipe to Cursor Control, when you typing you can move the cursor up down left right easily
Keyboard size is helpful especially for those screen with problem
Download language pack to enable spell checking.
Edited build.prop for optimisation, check that old thread. Lot are the same except I remove the nobootanimation already.
My warranty is voided last time because I didn't know about frp lock while flashing wrong rom of other country.
To close Frp Lock, enable Developer Options(google it for step), enable OEM Unlock before flashing
Yet I did not add root to this rom for now, comment if you need it.
I do not know if this rom will void your warranty. Feel free comment to tell us. (Mine after flash in Odin mode said official firmware thought)
In summary I think this rom is better, if you have any request, leave a comment below
Will Void waranty!!!

No error version. No need format or wipe your phone and all Knox Carmode stub etc removed in compare to top one:
press backspace to hide keyboard. Files below all extract one time and ready to flash.
1. Flash this first: https://mega.nz/#!qUsXmbwD!Q-rr7wJW7AKYi0xsTIZZvhhDG2zHCCbDAWiAA_mS4JY
2. Flash TWRP using odin https://mega.nz/#!ycc3nLBR!_do-RBTeOfIWvDK5enea8tJXDn5w1hyWuL7j7ZCuh5I select AP
3. Put zip to Phone folder or SD card, install using twrp HOME+POWER+ volume up: https://mega.nz/#!aNFECCRS!84XOLiu_-nyMoSSDTS0ym6dA3xek7Cc2GEHlbib30sE
Personal or application data will remain, this is just like update the Rom.
I have tested this rom before post it but still back up your phone. First boot time will be quite long, please wait for it.
Fyi, when preparing update it take lot of time processing, don't interrupt it and it will come to the last step optimise app.
First boot is always slow then it will be fine. Comment if you don't understand or face problem.

Link updated, added twrp j7108 download link
Hopefully it help more people out there, I hope you love this Rom
Further update and improved. I have perform lot of testing. It's stable. Lot of tweaks added.
It has symbol above every key, long press to use symbol. I really love Samsung Keyboard so much, especially the cursor.

And quick tip to make your phone faster, enable developer mode then disable animation scale. Screenshot more is very nice, I want to thanks Samsung to provide such features allow me to enjoy their product so much. I hope they add edge panel soon, most useful feature.

I installed this ROM but I seem to still have all the bloatware. You say after this flash I'll be able to uninstall bloatware, but it is as before, if I select uninstall it only gives me option to uninstall updates and return to factory version of apps.
Hmm, should I have wiped system and cache before flashing?
Clearly I have your new ROM installed because I now have the edge app which I did not before. Or, what did I miss.?
Before flashing I was at version J7108ZHU1BQB1 which is same as what you suggest we upgrade to first. Then I used Odin to flash j7first.tar and then J7108twrp-3.0.3.0.tar, then I used TWRP recovery to install ExcellentTweakedTrimmed.zip

Yes it should and it will, can you help me check which bloatware is not removed? Look:
can be completely uninstall
That's odd, both .img and twrp version will uninstall my apps.
You say it revert to old version? Flash it again perhaps since it match stock version of that app.
Really, I have tried both of then several time for bug testing, that's why I believe it will 100% work. NO wipe required ya, this is just like updat, DON'T reset as I have tested.
I am gladly to watch it over video to see at what's the problem, if you don't mind pm me your skype username.

Ha, OK, yes it does work. When I hit "uninstall" it gives me the same dialogue box as always before:
"Do you want to replace this app with the factory version? [Cancel], [OK]"
So I thought nothing had changed and I didn't even try to go further, But now I see that that if I select [OK], it actually does uninstall - it does not revert to the factory version like the dialogue box says it will..
I installed the TWRP version by the way

It won't work, the kernel is not compatible
This is for j7108, still if you want to try I won't stop you.
Place the custom rom in your phone at all time so when anything happen just flash that custom rom you are using now back.
Go to my thread use this link
"3. Put zip to Phone folder or SD card, install using twrp HOME+POWER+LOCK :
https://mega.nz/#!aNFECCRS!84XOLiu_-nyMoSSDTS0ym6dA3xek7Cc2GEHlbib30sE
"
That one is flashable, extract with 7z one time put it to your phone or sd card

I used this on 5T and it did work super.
But i am wondering if this is working for view10 or not... V10 requires a unique code to unlock BL, where do we provide that code here?
Also rooting v10 requires an img to be flashed. Is this tool working?
Anyone tested all these features on View10??

I have tested it on my honor view 10, to unlock your bootloader you still need of huawei unlock codes, always remember this tool automate process not bypass it (except it is not specified). This tool can't root the phone directly
EDIT: there is a little bug when you try to unlock the bootloader and your phone is in powered on and recognized in adb mode, i'm releasing a new version to fix it at this moment
EDIT 2: update released

Hi
Thanks for excellent tool. I have installed it and watched the videos you posted for OnePlus. You have used SuperSu in case of OnePlus. But for Honor View 10 I want to use Magisk. Can you please let me know the step?

The videos are not made by me, i found it on youtube and i added the link to tool description. To root your device you need to see this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ho...agisk-root-honor-view-10-mate-10-pro-t3749280

Thanks for response. So far I unlocked the boot loader (really easy with your tool one click only thanks for it). For root
how to install Magisk Manager using your tool. Which button to use
1. Recovery flasher
2. Recovery Zip flasher
Bear with me if it sounds naïve this is first time I am trying to root

Honor 10 is not supported officially, you cant do a recovery backup with this tool
Hi guys.
I'm looking forward for Honor View 10 or Honor 10, and as I'm with Samsung S8, I'm trying to understand if these Honor devices can receive a recovery consol or be rooted in a way that can be restored to stock without being noticed from official assistance in case I'll need to go for an assistance in warranty.
Second, as I'm with Samsung since years, I've always seen to need a recovery consol and a root package to flash (as standard classic methods) for having complete access to phone, while here I read about unlocking and unlocking cuts from Honor (that I'm reading now it seams that they stopped to release easily the code needed), recovery, bootloader and other things that I'm completely lost in reading
I'm not speaking of the strict interest in flashing alternative roms, but at least to have the possibility to clean the phone deeply once in a while manually with SD-Maid, RootExplorer and other apps (maybe you know of more professional...) so for it not to get fat and more fat in time, with the possibility to clean corps and old unused system files without the need of a wipe, so to have a slim internal sd-card as much as I can (specially if I'll go for the Honor 10)
So please explain me a bit of what is this Honor world as I'm really willing to they one even tomorrow!!
Thanks to allall.

Mate 9 is not officially supported, if it has kirin 970 you can try to select honor view 10 and use the tool
Hey buddy, thanks for this amazing tool. I need to know, if there's need of the Bootloader Code for unlocking it on a Honor V10?
Also, if I need to add a phone that's in similar state as this phone (LG Stylus 2 Plus, currently not supported by LG for unlocking with their tool), can I send everything that you may need for making the tool compatible with it?
Thanks in advance!
i tried today on my honor view 10 to unlock bootloader, cant work
