I moved my 64GB microSD Card over from my Note 2 until the promo shows up with the 200GB card. When a V10 app makes a data directory on the microSD Card it goes to (from the root) sdcard/program name/data. It says that this is a "Google" requirement. The included "file manager" app cannot find this. What "file manager " sees as "SD card" is actually "/storage/external_SD" out from the root. This has my old stuff from the Note 2 but the V10 is not writing /saving anything in this section. I am using "Super Manager" file manager to get to the root to even get to the new section which the included file manager cannot find.
Did you format to fat32?
The microSD is formated exFat
Coming from note 3 rooted on VZ, I can't write on my sd card in most of it only few programs actually have writing permissions and they are not file managers...
Card was formatted on extfat 128gb...
Samsung for some seem to **** up my sd cards and block them, also I got a 64gb that is readable but I can't format it, can't delete anything and this was coming from s3 to note3...
I was hoping this v10 to fix it all, but waiting for root to change permissions...So frustrating.
Was the SD card encrypted?
No
Are you rooted with the sdcard fix? I am not sure if this phone needed it or not, but I had a note edge before and put my micro sdcard in, and it was just fine.
Hey this is a very useful tool I'm sure this can do the job.

It seems I can't do either copy/paste files from a file manager, nor save a file from the internet via opera, TO the external SD card.
This stuff that root will help? Or can we only save from PC and play in tablet?

Used to work before ICS, now it doesn't. Why did I want ICS again?

Seems ICS moves External SD Card from /mnt/sdcard2 to /sdcard2. Sets permissions as Read-only. Help?!?
So I have a 64GB class 10 card in my phone and it works fine. My camera saves to it and it recognizes the card. Problem is when I run SDTools it has an error reading the buffer. Also, any file management apps automatically go to the internal storage. I have to use a root file explorer to get to my sd card.

I'm not sure if you're aware but I noticed that the internal memory is under /sdcard and my sd card is under /extsdcard. I use astro as my file explorer.

I get the same error on SD Tools with a 32 gb class 10. Not too sure about the external card at this point.

I found it...extSdCard as the poster above said, but it under /mnt/ I use ROM Toolbox or ES File Explorer.
I saw that, just wondering how to get SD Tools to work. Guess it's a no-go
The "my files" app seems to work pretty good when needing to navigate your files and folders on both the Internal and External memory.
Problem: I had problems accessing External MicroSD card using ES File Explorer on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
Solution: I installed open-source application OI File Manager from Google Market. Now I am able to move files from internal SD card to External MicroSD card.
I just posted this solution here as I could not find any thread on this matter.
Enjoy.
what about movie files ?

Like movie torrents that I downloaded off of my smartphone ?
I have an Asus MeMo Pad HD7 and I have alot of Game Apps from Google Play installed on the Tablet's Internal onboard storage and I'm starting to run out of storage space, I know you can't install Game Apps directly to an external SD Card but can the Games be moved to the SD Card from the Tablet's on board storage so I can free up storage space then later on move the Game Apps from the SD Card back to the Tablet's onboard storage? If so what is the process of doing that?
You need some tool like Link2SD (needs root).
i wonder how.. is it just like folder mounting?

i dont think the phone will format it to fat32, which is needed for The TWRP. I have a 64gb card that doesnt even have an option for fat32. My solution was to get an old 8gb card, which should already be fat32 formatted and used that to TWRp backup. then simply tape it to the inside of the cover, right where the nfc sticket ends. done.
The phone formatted the sd card perfectly and it now is recognized by TWRP.

I formatted my 64gb micro SD cards to fat32. Just download an SD format tool on your computer and format it.

Good to know. My ultra plus 64gb wouldn't in the phone, so I had to do it with my computer.
<= 32GB, exFat and NTFS is okay.
> 32GB, it has to be Fat32
Fortunately all sort of utilities out there to format in Fat32
