Hey gang, just got a V10 for my wife not too long ago, maybe a few weeks. She told me the other day she's having problems with the GPS so I started messing around with it.
I installed the GPS app that can reset everything and it's like the phone can see the satellites, but doesn't obtain a lock. It takes forever if at all.
Anyone else have this issue? If so, any suggestions on what to do to fix it?
Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem here on my phone. Actually, all LG phones that I have ever used such as, G2/G3/G pro, are having this problem as well. Would love to hear how to fix it as I couldn't use this phone to be my navigator...which is suck.
I've had two different G3's and the GPS on both worked flawlessly.
Realized this weekend that my V10 does not share that same acclaim.
When in GMaps navigation, it's always saying "GPS signal lost" over and over.
Then it will periodically freak out and start rerouting me all over the place changing my destination to other random places of it's own choosing several times every second.
Planning to drop it off at T-Mobile and tell them no thanks haha

Forgot to mention, I actually talked to a phone tester that works for LG here in San Diego. She's from South Korea, she deals directly with corporate in Seoul and translates for them. She said they know that a certain percentage of the phones are defective with overheating and GPS issues.
I had the same problem and found that 'usb charge' is the root cause. When no usb cable connected gps is fine and locked, then connect usb cable gps signal becomes low gradually and lost lock finally. Disconnect cable again, gps signal goes back and locked.

Interesting. That might explain the intermittence of the issue since it has recently reoccured in my current V10.

i have the same problem. was there ever a fix for this? is the phone defective? it's driving me nuts.
If LG really wants to succeed in the handset business, they need to fix this issue. My v10 does this intermittently add well. A restart usually solves it. But my wife's stylo also looses GPS. My cheap old Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime however is rock solid with GPS. And I have had then all on at the same time. Grand prime with GPS signal and both LG's can't find GPS.

I have the g4, tried a lot of stuff but what it seems to be working is to turn off wifi scanning and bluetooth scanning in loction, tap the 3 dot menu, seems a bit better locks faster
I have seen this issue for the better part of this past three months. I am thinking of sending my phone in for a warranty repair to see if it makes a difference.
So is this a software update issue?
So one year on.. does anyone aware is this a software update issue? as I dont remember the phone having this issue when it was new.
Did warranty repair sort the issue out in the end.. it is half annoying When phone needs to be charged
Thanks

Now, with the latest updates, my V10 is fine now with GPS.

Make sure the prongs on the back of the phone are touching the back battery cover. I ended up having to lift the prongs some more so that theres a better connection. This enabled the phone to connect with the gps antenna on the back battery cover better and fixed my GPS problems instantly.
Hey all, I wanted to re investigate this issue. I have had the V10 since launch. However I am on my 3rd V10. The first bootlooped got it replaced and the 2nd had a defective charger so I am on my 3rd. However I can't recall if it started when I got the 3rd or shortly there after but my V10 does not connect to GPS satellites. I have factory reset me phone, cleared cache, uninstalled Google Maps, reset GPS status via "GPS Status". I also have the GPS Essentials app installed and it states that no satellites found. It states my location provider is "network" with an accuracy of 59ft.
I am at a lost at why my phone refuses to connect to any GPS satellites. I took my case off no dice, changed back plates no dice.
Any advice?

Hi,
I'm having an ongoing problem with my Vibrant not locking onto satellites. I've tried every trick, mod and software update I could find to no avail. After visiting Samsung's web site I saw that every time somebody asked a question about the GPS not working, Samsung's response was that it's a hardware problem and to send the phone in for repair. So I did and this is what happened......
1. I call and give them the exact problem I'm having. That the phone will not see let alone lock onto a real satellite. She emails me a 2day shipping label. I taped a note to my phone also detailing the problem for the tech to see.
2. I get an email a week later saying that they're shipping my phone back to me and this is what they did (Copied from the actual email).....
Original Problem:
Technical Inquiry
GPS
Acquiring Location
Problem found:
DROP CALLS
SW,PRL,OTSL RESET
Solution:
Passed All Functional Testing
After Google'ing what SW,PRL,OTSL RESET meant and finding out that it's just software resets, I called Samsung support back. I asked them if and why the hardware wasn't repaired and reminded them that their web site, in many places says that it's a hardware problem and to send it in for repair and that my phone NEVER DROPPED CALLS. She states that it tested ok and to wait and see. She then tells me that if I receive the phone and still have the same problem, they will find another solution so I wouldn't have to send my phone in again.
3. I received the phone last night. I put my sim and battery back in and turn on the phone. I did nothing but add my gmail account back in so I can download GPSTEST from the Marketplace. After doing so I walked outside and sure enough, after 10 minutes, no satellites. Nothing. This morning I called Samsung and to make a long story short, after talking to level three support, they tell me all they can do is have me send the phone back again.
Here's my problem with Samsung.... I followed their direction and sent my phone in for repair. I twice gave them the EXACT problem I was having. Their own website states that there is a HARDWARE problem. So instead of fixing the exact problem, they find a totally different problem to "fix" instead. They never touched the actual hardware or fixed my problem. They won't take responsibility for their error and find a solution that works. They tell me they don't replace phones, only repair them so they can't send me another phone. They won't even send me a overnight shipping label so I will only be without my phone for 5 days instead of 10. The only solution to my frustration he can offer was to give me an address to send a letter of complaint.
I'm done with Samsung. Is there anybody who can offer a solution to my GPS problem. From what I can tell, it is a hardware problem. Are there any fixes out there or do I just have to get another phone (It'll never be another Samsung)?
Also.. What other recourse with Samsung do I have? It doesn't sit well with me that I just have to accept their excuses and policies that do more for them than the customer.
Thanks
I had the same issue and I just had them send me a replacement. Just go through the live chat on your account, choose the warranty/exchange option, and then tell the rep that you tried all the fixes and updates and nothing works. It took about 15 minutes before the person said they would replace mine. Also, I would talk like you know more about the phone than they do.
Hope Samsung didn't break your gps connector tab
Gps is a hardware issue on vibrant and the best you can get is 25 feet accuracy and 30 sec lock times mostly.
In your case, you do need a replacement that can at least do this much

Why didnt you simply call tmobile and have it swapped?
Did you try the self hardware fix in this forum? Worked wonders for me and many others.

Was this with Samsung or T-mobile?
I had much the same experience with Samsung as cconnell11. I last talked with Samsung a month before 2.2 was available. They assured me that 2.2 would fix it, and there was no point sending it in since they didn't have a repair procedure for it and it would come back the same way it was. I asked what would happen if 2.2 didn't fix it. They said all I could do would be to send a complaint letter.
Naturally 2.2 didn't fix the GPS. I'm thinking about what to do next.
I tried the hardware fix today and I still do not see a big improvement. I have gotten mine down as low as 6 meters but no less. My old MT3G would get really accurate compared to the Vibrant. I have more issues with Wifi than I think I do GPS. I adjusted both antennas this morning but my wifi still isn't stellar. I wish Samsung and T-Mobile would just send you a replacement phone up front and repair your phone and re-use it as a replacement after they repair it. The whole 2 day shipping thing sucks when you need your phone for work.

Wow I only get 10m accuracy most of the times. I know other phones can get upto 6 ~ 9 feet
You can check here http://www.n2yo.com/whats-up/?c=20 to see what satellites are in your view.
If you get a different set you will have zero chance of locking on. If you show no sat numbers initially you are getting no or incorrect GPS assist to give you at least almanac info. If that is case try GPSrestore.
Do you get any grey bars on GPS test app? They need to be greater then 30 db/No to get initial data lock. It appears that Broadcomm GPS firmware does not report any sat lock until at least 3 satellites are locked enabling a 2D fix.
The only significant HW issue reported is the antenna contact. If for some reason the GPS TCXO calibration value has been lost it could take a very long time to get a lock, maybe never. Once it does it will establish a new TCXO calibration value which is then saved for future use. GPSrestore may retrieve factory firmware stored TCXO calibration.
GPSstatus does a network request for assist data that should get you at least correct sats to look for. Use WiFi if you have it with GPSstatus. Just use GPSstatus for assist download, then close and open GPS test.
I have not tried any of the hardware fixes (yet), but have tried the software reset from Samsung with not much change. When I notice that my GPS is having a hard time locking, I turn off Wifi and it locks almost instantly. I can then turn Wifi back on and it seems to keep a lock.
As an example, I can have a lock/see of 0/2 in "GPS Status" app for minutes. I turn off wifi, wait about a minute and get have 5/12. After turning wifi back on (after lock), I still have 5/12.
By comparison, my Galaxy Tab quickly goest to 7/10 with or without Wifi on.
Accuracy (according to Google Maps) is 10m on the Vibrant and 4m on the Tab.
I am thinking that my new golf GPS app is not going to be too useful with only a 10m accuracy.
thank me later
buy a bluetooth gps receiver such as globalsat bt-359 or any sirfIII or better. Next download bluetooth gps provider from the app market. let their powers combine and you vibrant may become a fully functional gps with the purchase of onboard gps vavigation. hehe
My solution
Since originally posting this I've tried the bending the pins up hardware fix to no avail. If I'm outside with a clear sky GPS status shows several satellites and after about 5 minutes will lock onto maybe three or four of them with about 10m accuracy. Maintaining that lock though is tricky. If I get into the car, it looses it. If I turn the phone upside down and have the bottom face the sky I get a lock on 7-10 satellites with about 7m accuracy. Either way it isn't good enough and I found a new problem. Google Maps just doesn't work with the default settings. It locks the phone up no matter what updates you've done. I fixed that though by changing the Operation Mode to MS Based and the Server FQDN Type to AUTO Config. Now it doesn't lock up and works fine with the exception of the GPS problem. I looked at the Samsung car cradle and noticed that it holds the phone sideways so the internal GPS antenna is facing the sky. This should work great but I don't want it attached to my windshield.
My main problem is that I want to use the phone for Geocaching like I did with my LG Optimus. That was a great phone and the GPS was accurate to 5m consistently. So I went ahead a bought a bluetooth GPS receiver. After a lot of research I decided that the Gosget SB-369 was the best option and it was only $30.00 online. This thing is great. I get a good steady lock on 7-10 satellites with 3m accuracy. This is perfect for Geocaching and was better than my Magellan when it worked right (don't buy anything Magellan). It has a hole in it and is small and light enough to be worn around your neck with a lanyard while Geocaching. You could also just put it in your pocket. It's antenna isn't a standard patch type. It's internal, but round and omni-directional and maintains the same lock no matter what way it's facing. I would recommend this to anyone who needs good accuracy for things like golfing and Geocaching.
I'm going to use this as a solution. I get great accuracy that I need at the expense of having another little gadget to carry.
This is my second padphone in 3 weeks and both devices have lost mobile data connection. The first time AT&T told me it was because of a crack on the screen. Made no sense but I paid the 200$ for insurance and got it replaced now the replacement is doing the same thing. For no reason at all I will loose all connection and the phone says no service and then comes back after a random amount of time.

Not at all. Sorry.
I had the same problem too. Just change the sim card to a new one and it will be alright again
Have you updated the IMEI with at&t? I had some small issues with my data until I updated. Tether didn't work either. It would give my computer an IP but wouldn't pass traffic.

Did you lose power first? Were you in tablet mode when it happened? You should check out the "Phone Died" thread and contact [email protected] You are not alone and this seems to be a fairly widespread issue. It was not the crack on the screen. Scott's email is [email protected].

Yes the phone was in the tablet while charging. This happened to me 3 times. 1st device I had taken the phone out of the charger and it wouldn't power on until I connected the phone directly to the charger. But it didn't have data connection when it finally powered up. The 2nd device I disconnected the charger from the tablet then pulled it out but it still happened. 3rd device I disconnected the charger from the tablet and tried powering on the device through the tablet. Still same problem the thing wouldn't turn on. So i pulled the phone out plugged it to the charger held the power button. It came one and as you guess no network. But in my case I get no network at all. So if there is a fix please let me know because this is very frustrating. I have had 3 of the phones and all of them have now had the same exact problem. My opinion is that this is a malfunction with the tablet. Because from my experience it never happens when the phone is charging directly through the charging cable.
No fix yet...

Thanks Acriar for the additional information. So far every failure like this is pretty consistently in conjunction with the tablet. No, I don't have a fix. I wish I did, because your reply does not give me much hope for my third device. Again, let [email protected] know. Hopefully they are putting sufficient engineering resources on to this to fix it else the Padfone X's life in the US will be short at best.

Exactly my experience with the first phone. AT&T replaced that one. Didn't replace the one w/ dead pixels.
Similar problems with dropping network
I began having problems with the network dropping 2 weekends ago. I moved my phone from my pocket to the station, but the station never 'start'. When pulled out, the phone would not start. Neither was low on battery. Finally got the phone to start when I plugged it into the charger. That has happened a few more times since then. After that, the network was totally undependable for the night and next day, despite restarts of all types. I was on a trip, and when I got home the problem continued for the night, but then disappeared the next morning before I could take it to the ATT store. Worked fine a few days, then occasionally could connect and occasionally not. A restart of the phone usually gets the network back - but not always. My wifi connection has always been available when wifi was around, but the LTE is suddenly disappearing fast. Will send note to Scott, but wanted to add to this thread. BTW, great site. Thanks for the info here. Best padfone x forum I've found by far.

For those of you with this problem the answer is to contact Asus. From my analysis when I sent mines in here's the problem. So as you see from my response the phone was over charging when left in the tablet for an extended period of time. Well it's not that the tablet wasn't managing this charge correctly it was the charger as well. I say this because when they returned my device it was accompanied by a new charger, and yes they replaced the tablet as well. But there is a new feature in their UI that request you use the factory charger when charging your device while in the tablet. I checked the numbers on the old charger that i had from my previous phones ( the failed one's before) and it had a different version number on it than the new one they sent. I also noticed some of the AMPs and voltage had been changed. That all said I want to give a big thank you to Asus repair because they are actually an honest bunch, and here's why. So as explained above i, like many of you, have had several of these devices. Just so happened that on the third one I'd been working out on hot day and when I arrived home was still sweating. The wet sensor for the device, for those that don't know, is right on the back where your fingures rest while holding it. As expected I touched it while sweating and it turned red, was unaware of this at the time however. Soon after the third device failed and I tired returning it to At&t. They explained they could not accept it due to the wet sensor. I explained that the phone was not water damaged and the problem that existed was the same as the past devices I returned. But they washed their hands of it and would not take it back. On to Asus; they were taking my tablet in as an RMA and explained they could check the damages on the phone, after I explained my situation. They explained they would let me know the repair cost for the phone before returning the devices. I asked if they would take an honest look at it in this case, explaining that if they found water damage that I would fully pay for the repairs but if the damage was due to the malfunction could they just fix that. Well they, unlike AT&T, did just and replaced the damaged device. I must say it is very rare for a company to have such conviction to its customers and truly appreciate their dedication. And if you are wondering about how the new setup is after the update so far no problems.

And I agree- ASUS's handling of the issue wasn't bad. They even replaced my scuffed tablet dock back cover. But it wasn't the charger- mine went out while discharging, every time. Sometimes within seconds of being docked. I had two different tablet dock hardware versions and both failed on me. It was something in the phone's handling of it, is my guess, seeing as the firmware update seemingly fixed it.
So I've noticed that randomly throughout the day my phone will randomly disconnect from Wifi and Bluetooth. It always drops both at the same time then reconnects.
Has anyone else had this problem?
For me the Mobile Connection Drops every few seconds.....No Network...4G TLE with 5 Bars.......No Network...4G TLE with 5 Bars.....No Network...4G TLE with 5 Bars.....No Network...4G TLE with 5 Bars...
Got my My LG G5 from T-Mobile... After 3 days the phone has been overheating, and every 10 seconds it drops Mobile Connection...I went through a plethora of tests with T-Mobile Support and they determined that I need a replacement device...so waiting for the replacement...One other thing, I notice this happened after calling T-Mobile to Unlock the device...So not sure if there is any correlation between my issue and T-Mobiles Unlock App, T-Mobile said the two were not related.
WiFi is unstable for me, too. Disconnects randomly every hour or so. I mostly notice it when casting to my Chromecast. I have to reconnect to the app in order to regain control. I've tried multiple routers, and the problem is reproducible with both. Bluetooth hiccups, too, but never fully disconnects. I haven't noticed that the WiFi and Bluetooth disconnects coincide. Mine is AT&T branded.
I've got a similar issue, only the wifi is fine most of the time, but Bluetooth skips every few minutes and has completely dropped twice. I'm exchanging my device tomorrow to see if that fixes it. I also got a crap battery as well. Kinda disappointed with this $700 purchase.

Me too, i disappointed
Okay so, I've only managed to reproduce it on 5GHz networks. It doesn't seem to drop out on the 2.4GHz band. Bluetooth doesn't drop out either.
Scrap that, just happened again at work on a 2.4GHz connection. Hopefully it's just a software bug that will be fixed in a later patch.
I have 5Ghz wi-fi at home and it's been rock solid. Have also had no issues with bluetooth. Hope you get it figured out.
Both bands Wi-Fi & BT rock solid for me too. The BT in particular seems much stronger than my 6P which had occasional drop outs even at close range.

I notice that it reports "Avoiding poor connection" in the WiFi menu when it's disconnected. I'm sitting in the room with the router, so maybe the "poor connection" detection is too aggressive.
Mine just starting dropping WiFi while the screen is off, I check the settings and everything is setup right it just started to happen today. I would F/R the phone and see if that helps
I exchanged mine for a new one, and the WiFi connection remains inconsistent.

Mine also does this and seems to be getting worse also vibrations have also stopped all together
I can't even get through 1-2 songs on bluetooth before it disconnects and plays through my phone speakers... it has zero issues connecting in the first place and sounds fine, but then just drops.
I do have pretty unreliable wifi at home so I'm playing some music with wifi switched off to see if it could somehow be related to wifi dropping, but these songs I'm playing are cached to my phone from Play Music so that'd seem weird to me..
Also wondering if hardware and distance has an issue with it. I had it 2-3 yards away from my bluetooth shower speaker when it disconnected. I'm playing it right next to it now and so far into song 2 with no issues. I've never had this issue with my G4, which is a bummer, because that phone was a piece of junk that my G5, otherwise, outclasses in every possible way.
To update, the Bluetooth issues absolutely seem to be linked to wifi drops, at least from my testing. Even playing local media, I noticed both dropped at the same time, but I played through 5 songs with my wifi toggled off and not a single problem.
Those of you with issues in the car, is your wifi toggled off completely? I'm wondering if it's affected by having wifi on, or just by a random wifi drop.
I've had wifi issues with every Android phone I've owned since IPv6 became normal in home routers. I blame Google for refusing to use DHCPv6, the most widely used dynamic network addressing protocol, instead using some weirdass protocol called RDNSS which NOBODY uses. I've found the best fix is to ensure your router is set to stateless autoconfiguration for IPv6, but it doesn't fix it completely. Those who have a router that can shut v6 off, try it out. Xfinity doesn't let you.
I will say my g4 behaved the exact same way on wifi, but I don't remember Bluetooth having issues. I don't use it much, though, since I have an AUX in my car and Chromecast music.
Having the same issue as well. Fought with sprint for weeks and went through a few replacements in that time... Got the G5 as a free upgrade and it's doing the same thing. Done with LG devices...
Yes, and I just made a thread about it. Oops. Anyone try resetting phone? I'm about to but that's a pain having to bring it all back and make sure I back everything up.

That is not promising as I've had this issue since day one hoping an update would solve it to no avail trying to avoid getting a replacement.
My last phone did the exact same thing. For 2 years. Also constantly closing apps I was using, freezing, and my keyboard would disappear frequently. It did it from Day 1. It was a nightmare.
Finally got a new phone (and moved up to Marshmallow,) and the drops have started happening after less than 1 week. They really need to find out what's causing this!
Hi all this is my first post,
I have owned an LG G5 September and it has been flawless. A couple of days ago while plugging my G5 out of the charger, the tap to change usb connection persisted and from doing research on the forums it seems like this can occur at random without much being able to be done to fix it. Since then I have experienced extremely high battery usage from android system and I have noticed that when going into the lock screen of the phone, I am given the prompt to scan my finger with a red exclamation mark, as if i have already tried and failed to scan my finger. However the fingerprint scanner does work regardless, what i have noticed is that when scanning a new finger in settings, the phone vibrates very rapidly somehow fully registering a fingerprint in less than a second rather than vibrating and telling you to change positions of the finger. Also the fast charging capability has stoped working as a result of my phone thinking its plugged into the computer.
To sum it up, is it really possible that a single unplugging of the cable can cause the above problems? Also do any of you think that replacing the bottom port and hence the usb port (the root of the issue?) will fully resolve all problems?
I have already:
Reset the phone to factory settings
Restored from backups
Put it in rice to remove any moisture
Please ask me if any other information is required to come to a possible solution.
Cheers
Sounds like either got wet somehow or battery defect. My battery got wet and was having same issues. Did you get it wet? Don't use it untill problem fixed. Water + electronic= rip

hi man same problem here. usb notice randomly appears even if it isn't plugged and also fast charging doesn't work. I've used compressed air to clean usb port and seems that the notice doesn't appear anymore, but the fast charging still not work

Either got damaged or water damage. Probably get a new battery will fix that. I'd be a little is hesitant using the phone if it is water damage, if I was you. Might wanna take battery out untill you get new one.

Well i ordered a new battery, should be here on Monday. I'll report the results.
Well I got the new battery, unfortunately this hasnt resolved any issues. Next step is to try a new bottom piece, that should do the trick if not rip G5 and money.

Why not ship it to LG?

It has sth with usb socket in your phone. Look if there is some dust or anything. Clean it carefully with needle or sth while phone is power off. Battery drain is because phone thinks it is USB cable connected, when USB is connected phone can't enter into deepsleep state. If anything help try to replace this part which holds battery and have USB socket. I think it is still cheaper than sending phone to service.
Sound Problems
I have random sound problems since i have updated my LG G5 (H850) to Nougat.
Specifically some times the notification sounds not working. (fb messenger - sms - ringtone) Its like i have muted the sounds but all the sounds are enabled.
Also i have noticed that when this problem occuring when i try to watch videos from youtube or video streaming sites, its shows me an error message and i cant watch the videos.
When i restart the phone it fixes. It think its a software problem because i have not those problems at the past running marshmallon.
At the moment i am running official h850 20c update. I have tried factory reset but the problem insists on.
Have you ever noticed something like that or heard anything about those problems? (i have also a friend that he has the same problems with his LG G5 since he updated to Nougat)

Basically the story goes as this: I bought it from one of the biggest electronics retailers here in the Netherlands (Mediamarkt) and I asked them if they can carry out reparations and they said it needs to go to LG. So I attempt to sign up my G5 for the reparation programme LG has, only to be told at the end of the form that the G5 is not being serviced here anymore. I call LG's customer service and I was given the reason "due to extremely low sales the product is not supported anymore in the region", LG also told me that Mediamarkt has to carry out reparations because there is a mutual agreement between the two even though Mediamarkt claims they are unable to carry out repairs and no such agreement exists. So as a consumer I am stuck between these two big companies and the standard 2 year guarantee is basically useless, which is why I am hoping a new bottom port will bring everything back to what it was.

Yep I agree completely that it most likely has to do with the bottom port, I also believe a new bottom port will fix most if not all issues. I dont have many options anyway I need to diagnose the phone myself otherwise I've lost my money and device.

Aka you've been screwed over. That situation right there would make me not wanna ever deal with either company ever again. You should try to talk to someone at LG higher up, like manager or something.
LG tried screwing my brother over with a promotion. Well after talking to manager he got things fixed.

Go back to media markt and be a pain in the arse.
If you ask customer service nicely they more often will feed you with standard replies. Tantrums tend to help, sadly.
Double check how things are legally. Quoting the law also helps and or asking for a supervisor.
Good luck
Hi,
Long time member, but rarely post.
Xperia 1 is my 4th Sony phone and I'm having some problems with the WiFi disconnecting.
Since I've had the phone my WiFi keeps disconnecting. The phone can still see the network on the WiFi settings page, but I have to reconnect. Anyone having the same problem?
On previous Xperia there was an option to turn off the WiFi when the screen switched off, which I always unchecked. But I can't see this option (or anything similar) on the Xperia 1.
Love the phone otherwise, emulators, PS4 remote play and everything I want it to do it does seamlessly.
Thanks in advance.
maybe a different issue but I have a problem Wifi gets disconnected whenever the upper part of device is covered with my hands. This happens often when I hold the device horizontally.
No issues with my Wifi. Everything has been solid so far. I use Googlw Wifi mesh APs.
Maybe you have auto network switch on?
Also when I turn my phone horizontal and cover, I do loose 1 si gle strength.
Same here .. I sent back Xperia 2 week ago and they sent me another One.. now I've issues with Wi-Fi, camera focus sometimes go Crazy and also 2x camera doesn't work properly, in the camera preview when you use 2x Lens It looks blury..

Nothing, it's been like this since I got the phone.
If you're meaning what did I do to fix it, nothing I've done has fixed it.

Unfortunately, my phone already slipped out of my pocket and now has a small crack on the back. Highly doubt I'll be able to return it and get a swap if its damaged.
The WiFi problem only seems to happen at home. No problem with my old XZ Premium or the wife's phone. I've reset the router, forgot and reconnected to the home network but the issue still persists. Not a huge issue really, just slightly annoying.

Unfortunately for me, it is, I often leave airplane mode and if it disconnects I lose notifications, looks like it doesn't reconnect automatically, I have to do it
Got to say the Xperia 1 wifi reception seems weaker than my previous phone OnePlus 5. But my wifi never disconnect itself when the signal is strong enough. Only happens when the signal is very weak.
Have you tried messing around the wifi preferences setting?

Yes, after 2 defective units, I ask for a refund, I get one plus, sad because I like a lot Sony apps like album and camera.. but then again sucks there's no hdr option in the camera
I had a spell where this was happening as well, I reset the wifi router and "forget" the network in the phone and it has been much better since. Like others have said here, the wifi strength is not as good as on all my previous recent Sony phones for some reason.
I have this issue as well. Coming from Xperia XZ, I can confirm WiFi seems to be not as resilient on the Xperia 1. That said, at home I have a Google WiFi mesh network and is rock solid, its only at work that I have the disconnect issues.
At work I can see my phone will connect to 2.4Ghz with good/excellent strength, then it tries to hop to 5Ghz where it see 0-1 bars and milliseconds later it's a coin flip between disconnecting WiFi or failing back to 2.4ghz. This is the endless loop that I'm in.
So to me the issue is the phone is overestimating the signal strength of the 5Ghz connection, and getting burned each time it attempts to use it. I don't know enough about WiFi protocol but it seems plausible that the strength could be different once actually connected. I'm not sure the answer to this, but I do believe this is more or less the root cause.
HELLO wifi problems
Hi all,
I have a similar problem
I usually keep my data switched off ( at home) and WiFi off when not going online
so throughout the day I switch WiFi on and off like 20 times, 8/10 it connects but for some reason it hangs sometimes.
Quite annoying, I have auto connect on
This never happens on my XA1 ultra
Any solutions?
PS. Software repair, firmware update, factory reset, WiFi reset all done, but intermittent wifi connection persists
I am mostly online in two networks one is a mesh the other a single router.
I always have troubles with the mesh but is not exclusively to my xperia, there are troubles with iPhones and Samsung has connection issues too I think it's a general problem with mesh networks.
I didn't find any solution to this.
