I have rooted my phone a while ago and I updated to the latest cyanogenmod 13.0 and started getting a pop up message "unfortunately google play services has stopped working" every second and a message that i needed to update google play services (but i wasn't able to open the playstore). Because of that i just factory reset my phone (settings>back up & reset>factory data reset) and after the reboot my phone didn't have any google apps, nothing. Under settings>accounts>add account. there was no option to set a new google account.
I tried downloading the google play 6.0 apk and didn't work, i installed it but it wont open. I mean it doesn't even give me a loading screen, it just closes right after i open it.
Could anyone help me to fix this and how to do it in detail?
Do i need to install gapps? if so how should i do that?

Hi guys, I've tried tonnes of ways of installing Google Play Services and Google Play on my phone but every time I just get the "Unfortunately, Google Play Services has stopped" message when trying to use Google Play.
So, I'm using a Motorola Moto G x1039 LTE, running Cyanogenmod 13.0 nightly (Android 6.0.1) that I just updated today from CM12, so my phone has been factory reset. I've installed several versions of G.P.S. and G.P. but I get the same message every time. I'm currently sideloading the apks from my computer. Everything else about the phone seems to work fine. I've tried restarting the phone, clearing the caches, enabling app permissions etc. but nothing seems to work.
Any clues?

Recently I have updated my Sony Xperia SP running cm12 to android 6.0, using the cm updater. I used to run 5.1 I believe, using this update my phone kept rebooting randomly (when starting any app, after running any app for a while, just random). Now that I updated to 6.0 I got rid of that problem, but where this problem ended, it started another one. The very popular "unfortunately, google play services has stopped" error occurred, while I got a notification in my notification bar which said: "Google play services won't run unless you update" or something like that. I have tried everything I could find on the web, such as the obvious clear cache, delete the app etc etc., but unfortunately nothing seems to work... I can't run the playstore app either. At this time I have deleted the play services and now I am getting the error in the notification bar that "*app* won't run without Google Play services".
If anyone could help me with this problem without having to factory reset my phone that'd be amazing. Thanks in advance.
PS. I thought it might have been possible to update the gapps to 6.0 using recovery, but for some reason it doesn't go into recovery either...

Device: xiaomi redmi 3 pro running MIUI 7.3 (Lollipop)
I can't open play store, I get "Authentication is required. You need to sign into your Google Account" error.
Also syncing gmail doesn't work, I get "Sync is currently experincing problems. It will be back shortly."
I don't care about sync, I just want to be able to use play store! It's a new phone and I could install some apps, but after rebooting phone play store gives authentication error.
I tried: deleting data on google apps, reboot, removing google acc and trying on another account, removing play store updates, installing the newest google play store version
Lastly I tried factory reset - THIS WORKED! I installed my apps again, but after I rebooted my phone, the play store stopped working again.
I don't know what to do anymore, it seems that rebooting my phone breaks play store forever. Please help

Hi there XDA!
I am running ResurrectionRemix v 5.7.3 (android 6.0.1) on my Moto G3 2GB. The phone works great without Google apps, but once I flash openGapps 6.0 for ARM, I get the usual google play services has stopped working and setup wizard has stopped working errors. I manage to get both these errors away by applying the usual fix of giving it the right permissions in the settings menu. However, after a while it again shows the google play services has stopped working error, and when I try to log in to my google account, my phone crashes completely and reboots. It also crashes randomly even when it is on the home screen. When the phone is in airplane mode and I disable play services, there is no issue, I do notice that the play store will not open. I only get a white screen that pops up and goes down again instantly.
I have tried the following things to solve it:
-Wiping dalvik cache and cache before installing Gapps
- Simultaneously flashing gapps and custom rom together ( again the phone crashes once i am prompted to add my google account in the setup wizard)
- Installing google apps using 'google installer' apk (this installs everything fine, but i get a google services framework error, and I am unable to access the play store)
- Removing my Micro SD card after flashing Gapps ( I saw this was a fix in another thread, but no cigar)
This is proving to be very difficult, and I have not got a clue where to continue from here on! It would be great to get some advice for any solutions to this.

Hi, I really need some help.
I somehow broke Google Play on my phone. It won't open at all. Tap on it, and it closes without even loading anything. I've tried literally everything except a factory reset, which I don't want to do, since I've got some things on here that I don't want to lose. I've tried to wipe cache, uninstall, reinstall, reboot, checked time and date, reverted it to an old backup from when it did work, reinstalled play services, everything. It just won't open at all. Might be because of Lucky Patcher being a piece of crap and doing something while loading some menu's, but I don't know. I've tried to reinstall the normal and modded version as user app and as system app with Lucky Patcher, didn't work either, and I'm getting pretty desperate, honestly. Can anyone help me?
I should add, I'm using a Huawei P9 (regular, Eva L09)
Hi , try to :
- uninstall lucky patcher ,
- remove your google and other accounts ,
- install this google play services and reboot your device.

After that , wipe cache and data from:
- Gmail
- YouTube
- Google Play Store
- Play Services
- Google
- Google Plus
And after that reboot your device , open Google Play Store , add your account and try if is working.

Hi. I followed your steps exactly, and after logging back in into my account and opening Google play store again, I still crashes right after I press it, so that didn't help either. Thanks anyway, I think I completely broke it. Do you think flashing Gapps will help?
Sorry for late response , you can try to reflash back to stock firmware . You have on the internet how to do that for your device . Good luck
