Lollipop ROMs with FM Radio - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Gidday
Have tried to go through the list of Lollipop ROMs for the S3 and have searched for FM Radio but seem to be either getting results that say that the ROM doesnt contain the native FM Radio app or that you need to install the Spirit FM app instead...
I am not interested in the Spirit FM app (hasnt worked well for me here in Aus), so does any one out there know any ROM that has the native FM Radio app?
cheers

I'm no dev but as I understand things, native FM Radio app for LP would only be possible in a samsung based LP rom. And last has not been possible yet (and probably never will be) because neither the int. S3 nor the Note2 has gotten / will get LP. So it's Spirit FM on non-sammy LP OR native on sammy KK for us.

[Q] question about FM radio and Netflix on GB

I just flashed my first gingerbread rom yesterday(asgard from EDT)
My main reason for upgrading to gingerbread was to be able to use netflix and fm radio. I looked in the market but I saw nothing. Oh and I couldnt get GPS to work either.
How do I get FM radio?
How do I get netflix? Is there an app?
How do I get GPS to work?
1) FM radio is a SGSII function. our phones do not have that capability. most custom roms have it in there just to "complete the set"
2) yes there is an app. however, from what i noticed, quite a few roms, for some odd reason, make it so that netflix doesnt show up in the market. only one that ive come across where it does show up, and you can download no problem are MIUI/CM7 roms.
3) GPS will only work with a few custom roms that support the EDT fix. i think. lol
r3skyline said it all. But my vibrant plays netflix fine on cm7
oh so no vibrant roms have working fm radio yet? or ever?
And is there somewhere I can get the netflix apk if not from the market?

The vibrant is missing key hardware in the FM module to allow FM to work. It's been physically cut out and will never work.
Also, if you search the themes and apps section under the vibrant, you'll find a noob's guide to netfilx on the vibrant.

[Q] BT-audio / No AVRCP 1.3 support?

Hi Guys!
Is it right, that the Xperia S doesn't support AVRCP 1.3?
I don't have the XS yet, so I can't test it myself.
I wanna use it in connection with Bluetooth Audio on my RCD510 (VW). But having ID3 / Title Data on Radio Display only works with AVRCP 1.3 profile.
I did also read something about problems according Sony MW 600 bluetooth headset, because 1.3 isn't supported.
If it's not in yet, I think it also doesn't come with ICS, because Arc S also didn't get it.
cheers!

Not in official firmwares. CM9, AOKP and I think CNA will have it.

That's so stupid crazy from Sony .. they offer accessories with features, that still can't be (full range) used with their own flagship phone ...
Don't blame Sony, it's ANDROID, blame google for that
Google should include the AVCRP support in Android (I have tested my MW600 on my dad's Galaxy Nexus to see wether it supports AVRCP 1.3 & guess what NO....)
1.3 support
This is important to me as well. I like to stream in my car but want to see the data on the radio. Many android phones can do this. Is there a work around without having to root the device?
I have tried it with my Sony deck and the track titles do not send over. You can, however, still use the controls to change songs, pause, etc...

That's a custom ROM not stock. Stock will not have this feature since its missing from Google.
What's stock didn't stop HTC changing the Gingerbread Bluetooth stack.... for the worse but they did change it.
if i remember correctly latest patches in CM7/CM9 have added AVRCP 1.3 support...
this is framework related right?

I could see the song names on my MBW600 when I was using the builti-n music app of my Galaxy S2; not sure if it's only after I updated to ICS. Note that my other app, Double Twist, didn't do this.

Oh really?
That sounds good, but not sure whether it's added by Samsung! I will give from my friends. Thanks for the info
Any way to get 1.3 or 1.4 or working now? ICS update doesnt support it either.
I have the Xperia Mini (SK17a) running stock FW, with Android 2.3.4 (v 4.0.2.A.0.62 , kernel 2.6.32.9-perf SEMCUser) , and it works fine with my car headunit, which can remote control and also show music ID tags via bluetooth. I´m not sure if it is AVRCP 1.3 support or if there is any tricky inside it.
Does anyone know?
I saw that Xperia S doesn´t support that yesterday and came here to search, when I found this thread.
Could it be possible to use or hack down SK17a somehow to port into Xperia S for example?
Does anyone know if Xperia Ion (LT28i) doesn´t support as well? As I saw some posts saying it is google/android limitation, but not sure with this fact of Xperia Mini be able to support.
is there a way that we can all email google and demand they put it in? Its not even supported in jelly bean.

Star an issue on their bug tracker.
It worked in Gingerbread but for some reason ICS has issues with it.

[Q] Cyanogenmode and S3 Camera

is it possible to have in cyanogenmod 10 nightly the same camera of original Samsung S3?
Thank You!
itypsat mous
No, it's part of the whole Touchwiz thing. The 4.2 camera is out there and works very well or you can try a Touchwiz based ROM.

Hope it works better than the regular one, which crashes constantly here on CM10 when using Instagram.
I've not really tried Instagram but it's been very stable for me so far. Better than any 3rd party cam I tried.

[Q] What do ROMs mean by "no working camera"

When looking at a rom, all say no working camera. Does this mean the default camera doesn't work and I can just use a third party one. And one more question, does anyone know a rom for the galaxy player 5.0 with working hardware accel, panaorid android says working camera and "hw accel" but none of the replies confirms that

to the best of my knowledge it means that there are no good camera drivers and the camera does not work at all, or doesn't work properly.

no working camera means the camera will force close or will take screwed up pictures. most of the time a dev will recommend a 3rd party camera app or someone else in the thread will -just search- . gmillz PA says HW accel and Camera works -I just checked-

Recent ROM with audio_submix (able to cast audio)

Hi,
I've been using my YP-G70 with Meticulus's Carbon ROM (awesome!) and thought I would be able to use a couple of Chromecast Audios to set up a sound system in my house, however I can't seem to find a ROM that enables audio casting (according to the MirrorEnable App, none of these include a fila named audio_submix). Is there any ROM out there that you may know of, capable of doing this?
Thanks!

There is no ROM for the YP-G70 capable of doing this, however, I don't think it would be difficult to modify a ROM to include audio_submix.
