Suggest me some high speed sd cards of class 10 in india.
SanDisk Ultra 32GB CLASS 10 MicroSDHC
Amazon made me order an 128GB Sandisk Android Ultra card yesterday... Will see how this works out...
IMO get the 80 MB/S Samsung Evo class 10. Samsung is known for quality flash storage even in SSDs and the warranty is good too.

Finally got my card and the new OTA, so that it works now like a charm. Can only recommend it. Copying music in windows made me reach ~20MB/s writing which is pretty solid and enough.

I'm looking in ordering one of these now.
Evo+ is 1€ cheaper than the Evo.
While the Pro is another 20€ more expensive than the Evo.
I guess the Evo's series is more than good enough.
But looking at the specs it looks like the Evo+ is significantly faster than the normal Evo, while being slightly cheaper.
Am I overlooking some important details?
Also the sandisks are alot cheaper for the same speeds.
Could someone explain me what to look out for when buying these kinda things?
I bougth the Samsung MicroSDHC 32GB PRO
It works fast and fine.
I realy recommend the sd-card.

Hi everyone!
Had a couple of hours hands-on time with the S3 today, wanted to let everyone know that exFAT support is present and working, and 64GB cards work fine (if anyone still doubts that they work on all Androids with card slots).
Will have some more info up soon too
Awesome!

S3 easily, the One X has better design, looks and screen (although these are all subjective), but the S3 overpowers it everywhere for functionality.
what sandisk micro sd card as it? SanDisk Mobile Ultra Android microSDXC UHS-I Card 64 GB with Adapter or SanDisk Mobile Ultra / 64GB / Micro SD XC Memory Card with Adapter / Class 6 why the hell is the class 10 lower than the class 6?

I'm 99% certain these are the same item. You will notice that the one that is double the price is sold by a third party seller, not Play. I've noticed that Amazon also sometimes have the same item listed twice with different prices. They even had this microsd card listed twice with different prices, both sold by Amazon. Look here scroll down to Amazon's own price of £164.98 and then look here. Same item from Amazon £49.69.
Anyway I've ordered mine from Play at £44.99.

Sandisk also only makes one 64GB MicroSDXC card, atleast according to their site
thanks for the information, always good to have a on-hand test of these informations too
what is the advantage of formatting a sdcard as exFat compared with fat32 (vfat?) or ext4
SanDisk sdxc 64gb formatted to exfat will not work on Android 4.2.2. roms.
Aosp doesn't support exfat. The samsung roms do though

I have both the 64 GB Sandisk Extreme Plus and the 64 GB Samsung Pro. The only 633x card I don't have is the Lexar.
The Sandisk Extreme Plus is a bit quicker on reads (65MB/s) but a bit slower on writes (30MB/s)
The Samsung comes in at 50MB/s, sometimes getting up to 60MB/s on reads and consistently gets +40MB/s on writes, the quickest I've seen is about 45MB/s
These figures were tested using A1SD bench in phone, (Z2 seems to have an excellent SD card controller) these cards go much faster using a proper USB3 converter into a computer. The Samsung sustains a steady 70MB/s write speed and the Sandisk comes in at about 60MB/s write when tested in Windows 8.1
The Ultra is definitely a large step below, and the 128GB Ultra card is even slower.
With that said, I like the Samsung Pro and it's what I use in my device.

It seems as though the S5 (and definitely the S4 before it) suffers from a slower SD memory controller. I was actually surprised the Z2 could pull off the numbers it did, they are very fast speeds. I will say on the S5, if they're getting lower numbers, it's not because it's memory card limited. Both the Sandisk Extreme Plus and Samsung Pro UHS-1 cards are excellent and you really can't make a bad decision.

I was thinking about the Sandisk Extreme Plus 64 GB and Sandisk Ultra 128 GB but since I'm not using that much apps as I did on my 64 GB iPhone I decided to get the Extreme Plus also because of the huge difference in read/write speeds compared to the Ultra.
I didn't experienced any problems with the card. The only disadvantage is that I cannot use it in my tiny thumb drive since it only supports microSDHC but in fact I never needed it yet since Android supports MSC and with the tiny USB-microUSB cable that came with the SWR10 SmartBand everything is fine

There is Sandisk Ultra 128GB and Extreme 64GB and Extreme Plus 64GB. I believe the card reader on z2 should not support the Extreme Plus speed(80MB/s read & write) so you just need to get an Extreme 64GB(40MB/s read & write). The Ultra ver should be around 40MB/s read with only 10MB/s write.
Basically, the read speed on z2 on Ultra/Ext/ExtP is just about the same, the huge different is only at write speed. If budget isn't a concern and think about future upgrade like z3/z4 probably would support higher speed, you can just get the Extreme Plus.
How do you all use it?.....fat32 or is it working with ntfs?

Exfat is great, mines a 64gb Samsung evo. But you wont be able to see it in certain ROMS.
The ones that I tested were:
-CM11 Sabermod
-PA Sabermod
-CrDroid
-Vanir? (I think.)
All the rest work fine with it (for me) including stock and stock based ROM's.
Ok thanks for the info, right now I'm with stock rom and working fine.

I have the Sandisk Extreme Plus 64GB, the Ultra 128GB and Samsung Pro 64GB. Benched all three and the Ultra is definitely the slowest by a good margin. The Sandisk Extreme Plus was slightly quicker on reads than the Samsung (50Mbps read / 40 Mbps write) , but the Samsung was a bit quicker on writes (45Mbps read / 45 Mbps write). The Samsung seemed to be more consistent as well. This was using A1 SD Bench. Not going to swap out cards and run them all again so you'll just have to take my word for it.

I can report the same. I've got a 16GB SanDisk Ultra microSD for about 1 and a half years.
If you buy SDs, look for those Class 10 ones. Those are the fast ones. Don't use SDs below Class 6, as they reduce the whole performance of your phone.

Yeah, it is way too slow. Class 4 SD crads are too slow for phones (for example; S3). You should look for higher class, like class 10. I am thinking of buying this card; http://www.samsung.com/us/photography/digital-cameras-accessories/MB-MP16DA/AM which has up to 48mb/s read/write. Moreover, Samsung cards are very cheap in my country.
However, I heard bad things about this brand, so I suggest you buy Sandisk Ultra. Sandisk is something like the Iphone of the SD cards. They have really good performance, but the price is without any comment.
Hey everybody ...
Quick question: which is better ... SanDisk Ultra 128GB or the Samsung 128GB EVO?

Samsung is samsung, especially with the tablet ... and sandisk is also reputable but has that 10 year warranty.

I would go with the Samsung since there have been reports lately of bad SanDisk cards. Realize though that one has sold millions more units than the other so the likelihood of failure is greater for SanDisk anyway.
If you want the fastest possible though you may want to step down to 64gb card and get one with the highest write rating like a SanDisk Extreme Pro.
The experiences vary. I've never had a single Sandisk card break, out of the 40ish Ive used since 2001.
I've had 4 Samsung cards (2x32 2x64) and they all broke in 4 months.
My 128GB Sandisk is still doing great.

I think I really need the 128 gb size. I never read comics before, and the note pro got me into it ... so now I have like 15gb of comics. lol. Plus, then I'm gonna add vids and music. So it might be prudent for me to just fork out the money for a bigger card.
And the other thing ... I kinda wana go with samsung too but sandisk has a brilliant 10 yr warranty!. Samsung has like a 2 year. So that's confusing.
Everything I've seen says the tablet can only utilize 64gb cards or smaller...? Would love to buy a 128gb if that will work though, can anyone confirm?

The card size listed in the specs is based upon what is, at that moment, available on the public market. At the time of the release of the NotePro, 64GB was the largest MicroSD size available. This does not in any way refer to an actual size limit of the cards, it's just that Samsung had no means to see if a 128GB card worked or no, as they didn't exist outside Sandisk's lab.
128GB works as normal, I've been using one for months. (Sandisk).
In fact, the 128GB works fine even on something as old as an S3.
Has anyone tried this I've being reading about the SDcard standard and also saw a picture of a Z Ultra showing in storage - settings - sdcard1 a 128GB card working (Don't know if it's true tough) so has anyone here tried that? is it true?
wanna buy one but wouldn't wanna waste my money...
manual says max 64GB
https://dl.developer.sonymobile.com/documentation/whitepapers/Xperia_Z_Ultra_LTE_C6833_WP_7.pdf
But its confirmed it supports even higher than that:
http://www.xperiablog.net/2014/04/0...xc-card-works-a-treat-in-sony-xperia-devices/
If in theory sdxc is fully supported then the controller should work with up to 2TB. But its yet to be tested by someone who willing to spend that money. Or someone who has one of these >256GB cards lying around.
That second link is one of the pages I was reading, I think I'll go ahead and buy one 128gb and if it doesn't work I'll sell it, will report how it works when I do.
Can confirm, I've been using a 128GB Sandisk card in my Z Ultra for the past couple of years. No problems at all.

Class10 is old and all cards have this rating. There is even more complicated ratings coming up on new cards being sold.
I'm talking about V30, V40, V50 and so on. C even. Don't know what C stands for. Mostly to help prosumers and pros selecting when doing 4K.
Some facts here:
https://www.sdcard.org/consumers/choices/speed_class/index.html
At the moment I have a samsung pro 64GB U3: http://www.samsung.com/uk/memory-storage/pro-microsd-card-e/MB-MG64EEU/
Its fast but not impressive. I don't think any memory card matters for our old phone.
It was sale two for one so I got one for our new phone and one for mine.
But you should buy the fastest you can afford without breaking the bank by performance for dollar.
If the top performer cost $100 more than the cheaper but no performance boost. You get the idea. Buy the cheaper.
At the moment I am looking at the toshiba 128 U3.
I will buy four of these for my ipod classic making a total of 512GB storage.
Note that there are many new features that is coming up for SD cards. As I said not that they will benefit our old Z ultra.
But you can still buy one that has a new feature as long as the price is right.
These are the ones I will buy. The one that is cheapest at the time of purchase. Download the Aliexpress app..you often get 40~70% off THAT sale price.

Samsung is a safe card. They are a bit expensive for what you get.
Sandisk is probably the best. But they are the most expensive. By performance for dollar.
A-DATA are good. But research if the specific batch is holding up. They tend to have some good and the other year bad and failing products. Same as with hard disks wd and seagate.
Some other exist but they are out of what I can get. They are more common in the us and asia. Like PNY, Transcend etc. So I cant comment on them.
Ol snap, SUPERUSER balling as usual!
That you for the additional info that will be much needed. I was interested in 128gb since the price has dropped over the years but now I see I need to keep my wallet closed until I put on my thinking cap!
Thank you very much friend!
