Really maybe you used different kernel and so its say u have new update

Adb is easy. Copy the adb files to c: start cmd and go to c: now type adb logcat > log.txt. U must have installed ur usb driver. The logcat u can find in the user base... With adb devices u can check ur connect to the phone

My friend has a Galaxy Ace s5339i and he bricked it.
So I was thinking because the Ace s5830i is the same as the 9i you can use the same Odin files as the 0i and use it on the 9i.
I just want to check, will that work? Will it break it even more?

And have you got unlocked bootloader? Try flashing only the kernel via fastboot and then flashing the ROM using Recovery.
