hey guys. im using, eXistenZ Premium 5.1.1 rom and i have teamwin recovery mode and xposed installer 3.0 alpha 4. i have installed the zip files for xposed, via using the recovery. on lucky patcher i have installed the required patches for the android. xposed is working properly. patches done. root permissions are done. but when i installed the modded play store. its not working. the only thing that i realized unusual is, lucky patcher->toolbox->patch to android: in this area all the patches are installed. do i have to install only the first patch for modded play store? pls help me. thanks.

Me too.. I have tired to trying modded or original.. It cannot install any apps in google store. My android 4.4.2

I've downloaded and installed this rom to my legend. Everythings work fine but I can't find the Google Play in anywhere (although I saw 4. Gapp intergrated into ROM in the Features)
I don't have CWM in my legend (I've tried to install it by fastboot) so I can not flash Gapps like I did when I use the original cyanogenmod 7.2.
Anyone please tell me how I can install the Clockworkmod Recovery and Google Play on my legend?

Just try to add you google account at settings, if you can successfully done this, you only needs to find the market apk to install and there is no need to flash a gapps zip.

I have bought a GT-I8552 (Grand Quattro or Galaxy Win) in China and off course miss the google Paly store.
I followed other threads in XDA forum in order to root my device and install SuperSU, cwm, etc...
I downloaded Google Play Store apk and successfully installed it.
The problem is when i try to open the app, it disappear after few second without working and without show me any error message.
Could you help me to understand where is the problem?

Have you rooted your phone? If yes, then install lucky patcher and download modded playstore from lucky patcher option.

Did u flash GApps? Don't just install Play Store. GApps has to be installed.

Yes, my phone is rooted and i even installed CWM.
I tried to install lucky patcher but Google Play Store but still doesn't work...
Now i'm trying to Flass Gapps and check what's happen...

I have successfully flashed Gapps... but Google Play Store open, asked me to login with my GMail account.
Gmail is working, Google+ can't work (i'm in Mainland China and i don't care to use it) and Play store try to load the home page but finally i get internet connection problem...
I also Tried to access it using VPN... but still the same.
I either cannot sync Google Account because i get a "sound" error in google search.
Any solution?
I forgot, my firmware is not CyanogenMod, but is the original one...
I solved the problem and successfully flashed gapps package again downloaded from another website.

can't update youtube app because it looks for google play services, but when i download the google play services through play store i got his error “Incompatible with other applications(s) using the same shared user ID”. my phone doesn't have any ROMs, though its rooted. it was a hand me down by my brother. my phone is Cloudfone Thrill 350D
other google apps updates though(maps,play store,gmail) but not youtube and hangouts.
This is from poor coding done on the original firmware. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1219029 Would be a good idea to do a nandroid if you have a custom recovery or make sure you know how to reload the original OS in case that doesn't do the trick or soft bricks you.

You can try to install some GAPPS,
Assuming that you have Jelly Bean, here is the link for the GAPPS.

I'm sorry, this is bad advice, or at best, incomplete. You can't just install Gapps via zip like that on a stock rom with stock recovery on a random off brand phone. You could uninstall the apps with issues while rooted, reboot, then install the ones you need manually with a root permissive file explorer and set permissions correctly. However, without a custom recovery and a nandroid backup or knowing how to reload the stock OS if needed, is not advised.

Just wanted to share what I found.
For all of you who are stuck on the gingerbread rom because of that ota, here is something cool: it's called XPosed and it has been backported to gingerbread. It is a framework that allows you to install modules that give some kind of functionality. Very cool!
Check this out if you are interested.
EDIT: I noticed that 2.4.1 works best at this moment for me, so I would recommend using 2.4.1 instead of 2.6.1

I posted about this in October, but its nice to see an update.
I was able to get the latest xposed installer 2.6.1 on a stock, rooted 2.3.4 rom.
I currently am using these modules: xprivacy, xvolume, SPDY, and masterkeyfixGB.
I was previously using masterkeydualfix, but i couldnt get version 2.0 to work.....and it seems masterkeyfixGB fixes more security holes. Compared to version xposed installer 2.4.1, the latest makes it easy to find and download GB modules.

The thread was updated, if you search on google for XposedInstaller-2.4.1-gb , I think you can find it, but you will have to assess the safety of the source yourself. I found a legit 2.5.1 version here:

I just flashed slimsaber but always got bootloop when I tried xposed ... I flashed given xposed zip in OP with xposedinstaller3.4alpha.... Got a log that framework install but not active... Please suggest me which app and which framework I should go with.
Try this
I am myself using that ROM and I am facing same problem. No version of xposed is working. Even the latest official version gives bootloop.
What you can do is install a special version of xposed framework that the dev of the ROM has said it's working. Even it has a little glitch. You will need to disable-enable expanded desktop.
