Hi guys!
I have seen a thread with more or less the same problem. In most of european countries the white version of OPX comes with H2OS and its the e1001 variant.
The main problem is that the H2OS is laggy in games,very laggy. I have bought three OPXs in Romania and all of them have the same problem. How do I upgrade the firmware/software without root or TWRP? Is it possible? Because the guys that provide the warranty for this phone may void it if something bad happens.
I am running H2Os v1.2.0. It s very snappy with zero lagg but when gaming starts it is very rubbish. Help me here please. What am I supposed to do?

You can download the OxygenOS zip and flash it with stock recovery. I would suggest unlock the bootloader, install twrp and take H2OS nandroid there on flash O2OS u can test it for a couple of days and then decide for your liking between the 2 ROMs

I havent really used 2 sims in my oneplus x (germany) with oxygen os but in the android settings it shows all the stuff for dual sim usage. You can deactivate a sim and also set the preferred sim for data usage, calls amd sms.

Go to the stock dialler. Select the options from top right (3 dots after the voice search assistant). Select settings>Call Settings>Phone Account Settings>Make calls with. Here you can select 3 options. If you select ask first you'll be prompted everytime you make a call to select from which sim you want to make the call or select either of the sims directly.
But it does not work anymore in OxygenOS 2.1.2, 2.1.3, or 2.1.3-x . Maybe in future OTAs ...

I am experiencing network problem if i use any firmware based on CM. The issue is I get less network and something phone doesnt show any network at all. If I use H2OS or OOS I get proper signals with good speed. I have two ONYX and both have same problems.
I feel the issue could be disabling of a particular band which is used by RJIO in India. Do any body also have this issue? Please post your answers with suitable resolutions if any.

Seems only baseband problem,i dont think any bands are locked in custom roms,did you tried the roms that use stock oos ril?

No, Actually you can use that SIM in any headset the only things is it should not be contract SIM ( 3 Months Free Data,Voice and SMS) with Lyf phone.

May be, But i personally dont face network issues at-least compared to my Primary Phone Idea. But again its valid only if i am using H2OS or OOS. If you are on CM you will have issues.

Right now we don't have any oos based rom available, but I was talking about roms using oos ril like sultans cm 13, afaik

Well then you have to stick with oos I guess
Try restoring OOS EFS on the ROM you use. If you don't have OOS EFS Backup, Take Nandroid backup of your current Rom to your memory card. Then clean flash OxygenOS and take its EFS backup. Now restore your Rom and then restore Oxygen's EFS over it.

You cannot buddy. Jio requires VoLTE (voiceover lte) or as they are calling it "True 4G", our phone just supports LTE, so there is no issue with your software, It's the hardware that is incompatible.

Hi, No its not like that. When we talk about LTE, we mean data so any phone in the world supporting the LTE will be able to use the data from the network if phone uses the same band. Now when we talk about VOLTE, its hardware specific and your phone should be able to make VOICE calls using LTE. Its generally a hardware which make enable your phone to send SIP messages using the builtin dialler and then DSP's for the HD voice. But again if your dont have VOLTE supported on your phone you can download dialer application from the vendor ( If they have) and use them to make voice call. The quality may not be as good as builtin hardware but it should be manageable.

How did you get the RJIO sim , i mean i have the code too, but does that store person didnt check your phone ?

Thanks, new Mi user here and I used parts of the tutorial and have working root. I did not flash the root zips proposed, as I do not know them, I flashed SuperSu for root as soon as I had a working TWRP.
My bootloader was already unlocked by reseller and some unofficial global ROM was flashed on it. :crying:

I received my Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Global version from Gearbest, but I gues there's something not right with it. I have MIUI v8.2.9 (I just read news about 8.2 coming for some Xiaomi devices today). I have this system, since I got the phone (more, than a week). It really is global ROM, since I have a lot of languages, it supports B20 4G, however this ROM is soemthing non-existing stuff. It says Android version is 6.0, MIUI is v8.2, that quite not right. Any suggession on what the heck this is, is very much appreciated!

I recently received n x820 with rom 19S installed. The reception bars were shown but nothing I did or EE my service provider would get it registered. My sim works in another phone.
I installed twrp 3.1.1-0-x2 and oreo pixel experience is working well apart from no service re mobile. Fingerprint works fine.
I looked at the radio its set to usa or automatic. Preferred network type is TD-SCDMA/WCDMA.
I am in UK does this mean my phone wont get a mobile signal in UK?

Heyyo, have you tried flashing upgraded modem firmware?
Just flash via TWRP and reboot
Either try Developer 466D

Hi The_Mard, I tried both but without altering the test settings on radio switcher.
Still no service. The mobile network icon has no bars showing, and on 26S modem it defaults to WCDMA only.
I tried them both with very little time between change. Should I turn on/off phone?
Heyyo, hmm do you know by chance if your phone came with Indian or Chinese 5.8.019s?
One of the only other things I can really recommend is try flashing EUI ROM 5.9.028s the last stable release just to see if flashing it plus all the firmware it comes with will solve the issue for you.

Thanks for the suggestion. I bought from a Chinese seller and the ROM had been customized for the English market, geekbuying had a version of this on it LE_X2_X820-OS-OP-FGXOSOP5801910121S-5.8.019S.zip.
I'll try the 28S but as I am rooted with twrp can I install it or only with ADB?

Mine installed via TWRP it just got grumpy during TWRP install saying there's extra files it didn't know what to do with but it still worked
Twrp installed it and aroma arm64 6.0 provided a nice pixel launcher.
The network search shows 4 bars on the phone which is an improvement. But it can't connect though the region is Other, time and date are London and GMT.
I feel this may be a hardware issue as the network has never registered.

I am not sure, but you can try to flash the modem via fastboot. Look for the command in XDA

I got the global version and am having same issues here in New York City. Everything works fine including my data but it takes forever to connect when im making a regular call (i use T-Mobile)and when it does i can hardly hear anything. Very disappointed otherwise its an amazing phone.

My Note20ultra is blocked by the operated (Au KDDI) from Japan and it is a different model that I have never seen (SCG06) I only know that it is snapdragon but there is almost no information about it on the internet, will it be that changing the CSC and auterizing the ROM will it unlock SIM Card for other operators? I've already checked the IMEI and it doesn't seem to be blocked, nor is it on any Black list. Do you know any software or metuto for this type of unlocking? already tried to change the ROM via Odin using a ROM from other countries for example "SM-n986w" but all give PIT and partition error. Would a constomized ROM do the trick?

Not necessary a rooted device but you do need your bootloader unlocked.

Installation Process:
- Backup BOOT partition
- flash the ZIP from TWRP
Uninstallation Process:
- Restore BOOT partition backup
The benefits are listed in the feature list above. Battery life should be very close to identical to stock - there's no massive battery saving changes here I'm afraid. More about additional functionality.

hey sir, i saw your post and we have the same problem, i bought a docomo note 20 ultra here in japan, and i also want to flash other firmware because i want to remove tons of bloatwares and stock camera shutter sound cannot be turned off, do you flash a firmware with other region? hope u reply.
