Get xposed and use greenify. If not that install an app that stops other apps from running in the background and draining your battery.

Ok first off, go on Google and read up on xposed framework.
Second, search on xda for Samsung xposed framework. Your going to find which apk applies to your phone and flash it with Flashfire after you back up your phone. I'm assuming your rooted. Flashfire is beta so use Google to fund the link and download the beta. Honestly if you don't know what xposed it your probably not advanced to do any of this and don't blame me of it breaks your phone but I could guide you through it if you want.

Here's the links for Samsung, flash the one for your device through Flashfire. I don't think that message showed for me so you might not have the latest xposed installer. But I could just be forgetting.

The correct xposed installer is on the same page as the xposed zips and I'm pretty sure it's the second to last one but I could be wrong. Nothing bad will happen if you flash the wrong zip though.

Well, something abad actually happened, i flashed the correct Xposed framework, but it was crashing google play, downloaded and flashed the goofle play fix (still no result)....So when i went to restart my device, i went into a bootloop
So i had to hard reset and flash OF1 ROM...any other way to save battery life without Xposed Framework?

It worked great thanks so much. No problem upgrading. I did a full wipe after doing a backup. Everything is smooth, although SMS is not working over mobile data when using the xposed framework for it, tho that is not your fault. I guess I will try doing it the other way listed in here. thanks again, this is just what i needed since i am getting away from roms now that xposed framework offers so much in their modules.

Could those of you whom flash this today please fire up the Superuser program? If you lose your binaries like I did you'll know it pretty quickly. I did the platform.xml edit, and that could be the problem. I'd like to know if this is isolated.
Thanks!

I did get superuser issues. SUsuperuser said I wasn't rooted. I went into recovery and flashed the update superuser . zip it took me back to .91 but updated it thru market... All is well now.
Titanium backup confirmed all the above
EDIT : I also flashed the ctr animation in the same session, so I'm unsure which actually caused the above issues.

Most definitely the 4-1 reboot alone caused it for me, but I am happy to report that the reflashing of supersu 1.91, then updating binaries after the Play Store update, corrected everything.
Note that I used 1.91 instead of the latest because that's what I had handy.
Thanks for verifying, both that my case wasn't isolated and for the easy fix.

Could those of you whom flash this today please fire up the Superuser program? If you lose your binaries like I did you'll know it pretty quickly. I did the platform.xml edit, and that could be the problem. I'd like to know if this is isolated.
Thanks!

As the title indicates, it's for DeOdex roms only. Stock rooted is Odex.

That's odd, and kind of a non sequiter, as this is an add-on for DeOdex 4.42 NABD roms, and I see nothing in the thread OP that indicates anything about fixing an issue with writing to internal storage..
That stated, the situation sounds very unpleasant, you're not the first I've read that has this issue, and we'd like to help. Could you post a copy of your Platform.xml file (recommend that you zip it if you want folks to be able to download t and view it). It is located in the following location: system/etc/permissions. Once you post that, we may be able to provide some sort of workaround for you.
Yep add on to the only nab roms for now n lettin op know had a issue wit it so just seeing if anyone had fix for internal as I found external fix but I am no longer on it odin'd back to stock for now also tried the platform xml u posted in rom thread too no go jus external

Over in the international themes and apps forum. You have to be DeOdex, and once downloaded, file should be named as in priv-app, SecSettings. Rename your current to bak prior to testing it.

S6 Edge Random Reboots & app crashes

Hi, I bought a Samsung S6 Edge used.. It was previously rooted and the knox counter was tripped...
I'm having some serious issues with it. From apps/google services to crash. It was previously rooted so I flashed the stock firmware on the phone. Even when I setup the phone (language and google accounts) some services crash... I can't recieve OTA Updates anymore because the status is set to custom and Triangle away does not work on S6's. I can't replicate anything to make a certain app crash, it's just random.. I need your help because i tried everything I could..
Stuff I did:
Flashed stock firmware (5.0.2)
Flashed an Update (5.1.1)
Factory reset and cache reset in boot loader.
Factory reset then flash the odin updates and let me know the results. In that order is how i unrooted mine while im waiting for the android m update

Okay, wouldn't a factory reset bring the status to official if I did it after the stock flash with Odin?

The data partition keeps record after the update has been complete so the update will still see something has been done so doing one before the other will solve it i believe. If it doesnt ill see if i can help you solve it.

Nope factory reset in bootloader then a stock flash (5.1.1) in Odin didn't solve it...

Got the updates from sammobile .. Kind of pissed off.. bought this phone used and tought it wouldn't bug as much :/
Did you download the latest update that shows on the site because if you accidently downgrade this can happen. I did so with my tablet and had a lot of issues including sammobile was being too glitchy and not letting me sogn up but glitched by it with tapatalk and flashed the latest update from sammobile ans it worked

I have the SM-G925W8 (Canadian version)
I flashed the correct firmware 5.1.1 (G925W8VLU2BOI1) . I also tried another 5.0.2 firmware back when I was running (5.0.2) it wouldn't change the binary status or make it so apps don't crash& I dont have random freezes/reboots..

Snapchat stopped working cause of Root....

So guides online for other phones say that you have to uninstall xposed and reinstall it. The problem is I didn't install xposed. It came with the Jasmine 6.1 from the droidyemen team. How do I install it?
Lollipop 5.0 OF1
1 Click Super SU root from androidyemen
Jasmine 6.1 rom
Verizon Note 3
I would appreciate any help. Thanks!

Question: How do I make backup if I don't have any TWRP or Cynogen Mod? Bootloaders are locked on Verizon Note 3. Also there are no instructions... very confusing for new rooter.
Flashfire app but still if you get in trouble it wouldn't be available to restore the backup..there might be more to it but I'm not sure..now that there is root you could just go back to stock with odin

I don't know how to use flashfire... Everything I've done how to do was by watching Youtube videos...
If you use titanium back up on the stock rooted firmware and back up data then when you flash jasmine and just restore the data it will work again. That's what I did and works perfectly

Could you give me a step by step? I boot looped my phone last week by trying to download TWRP because none of the guides told me that. I'm also very new to rooting. All I do is follow YouTube videos on how to do things.

If you were on stock rom or jasmine. On jasmine you need to get the xposed Uninstaller flash it in flashfire, run snapchat cause it will work after xposed is not shown in the "framework" then use titanium backup to back up the app and data, flash the xposed installer then it should stay logged in, if not you got titanium backup again and just restore "data" of the snapchat and it will be logged in. I backed mine up from the stock rooted firmware/ROM.

That's what I've been told. That's not what I did myself, I was on the stock rom before I flashed jasmine when I did the back up. Yes, titanium backup. Install app then restore "data" and good to go

The uninstalling, flashing, and reflashing. I've been using youtube videos to root my phone, so I feel very lost without it.
