Now i'm going to build a new custom kernel for G313HZ
I have downloaded source from samsung open source release center
i compiled the kernel with KSM, some more io schedulers/governors and installed it, phone runs well but camera error.
Any ideas?

I invite all community members with experience in compilation, testing with Linaro 4.7.1 toolchain,
know that the previous version and instability caused incopatibilidad CM9, but I think the new Linaro 4.7.1 toolchain is compatible,
Here is a link as a reference for a dev to compile your kernel and CM9, and works great.

I think this may be possible, those who support this project by CM9 rom faster and have the benefits Linaro.
LINARO INFORMATION
Kernels can be compiled with Linaro toolchain, really nothing new. CM9 source code needs to be modified to compile with Linaro, IMO it isn't worth it. Also, why in the hell do we need any OpenWRT-related Linaro patch?
Forgive me if annoying to open new thread.. Ask on gtab section still no one answer..
Yes, theres awesome github source for P1000
But please can someone give proven tutorial to compile kernel for P1000 from samsung source ??
Linux: ubuntu8.4.0 LTS
Kernel Source: update2 (opensource.samsung) & voodoo (github)
Initramfs Source: stock & cfroot (extract with unpack-initramfs on cygwin coz on linux always failed) , voodoo (github)
Toolchain: arm-2009q3-67-arm-none-linux-gnueabi gcc 4.4.1 , arm-2009q3-68-arm-none-eabi gcc 4.4.1 , arm-2011.03-arm-none-linux-gnueabi gcc 4.5.2
Trying combination source kernel, initramfs, and toolchain but still device cant booting not only as zImage but with boot.img too (i find tools on github to build as boot.img)
Thank you before for helping..
I made a simple hello-world kernel module and then insmod it into a running system. The system will halt few second and then restart.
I didn't have source code of the stock rom, so I used a github source with same arch & kernel version. I also try to use same GCC version and magic-version.
I have disabled all TRACE options in "Kernel Hack". Other wise, the dmesg will report "can't find reference fo the symbol __gnu_mcount_nc"

I changed to another build config and now it worked.
HI, I'm trying to compile cyanogen's kernel for mako
however with the compiler I used to compile AOSP sources, cm won't compile without modification to source code.
Can anyone tell the toolchain used by CM for it's releases so I can do a successful complication without source code modification?
Anyone willing to tell the toolchain?
Hello everyone,
trying to compile my first kernel, i have some questions i hope you can answer
First, here is the kernel source code of my phone (http://opensource.samsung.com/reception/receptionSub.do?method=sub&sub=F&searchValue=SM-G903F)
Second i use UberTC toolchain 4.9.4
Questions:
- Is it possible to update kernel (base is 3.10.67). According to kernel.org, 3.18 is available but dunno how to update.
- How to include i/o sch, gpu gov, cpu gov... I mean, do we need to take existing file from an already modified kernel with same processor or any other will be ok too ?
- How to add synapse / stweaks ... support ?
- Where to find commits from toolchains ? How to patch source code toolchain ?
I really thank you for any anwser / help
Nobody is able to help about my questions ? Really ?
