Hey guys,
I recently cracked my screen and a replacement is on the way, but to see what the inside is like, I opened it to see how it is layed out.
Everything went fine, but then I saw that the vibrator is stuck to the "midframe"? It is not necessary the vibrator itself, but the connector of it.
Has anyone here repaired his Redmi Note 2 here before? Share any tips.

Hi,
i bought a used mda via ebay and got it yesterday.
First thing i noticed was that the touchscreen didnt work right... i somhow managed to get through the calibration tool that poops up if i turn the device on. After that the touchscreen worked really good for 1 day and then suddenly it stopped working completely...
Anyone had this problem before and can give me some advice ?? I already got a 20e refund but i want to try to repair the device instead of selling it as broken.
And another question i have: Can i use the wm 2003se on a german device ??
Thank you
Seraptin
Edit: got it repaired myself... I opened the device and cleaned everything... there is still some dirt between the glass and the screen.. if anyone knows how to remove the glass to clean that, im listening But i dont think thats possible anyway.
my screen is broken
Hi,
Glad to read that you have repaired it yourself. I just dropped mine on the floor yesterday and the screen is broken. Touch screen still works but the screen is cracked and I can see a black spot. I wish someone can help me purchase a new screen. I would try to install it myself.

Hey guys,
My screen woes just won't go away. I dropped my phone a few weeks back and cracked the screen. Ordered a new one from eBay (Item number: 260818538062) with the faceplate and everything. Had it installed but then started noticing that SWYPE wasn't working as well because my words would start breaking midway. Installed Yet Another Multi Touch Test and when trying to paint realized that there is a very evident line on my screen that isn't working as well. That was one continuous movement of slow up and down jestures but as you can see, the touch sensitivity is much weaker as well as the screen sensing a second touch at some point.
What can I do? I will gladly take the thing apart and clean the connectors.. if that will help. But somehow am inclined to believe that the issue lies with the screen. Is there a software recalibration fix that exists perhaps? Anyone experienced the same thing and walked away with a working solution?
Please help and thank you in advance.
(EDIT) I've added a second attachment where I started going around the outer edges working my way in, there's definitely one faulty line in my screen!
(EDIT2) Found a native Android touchscreen test (white and green) thanks to a member named BryanNL in a different post. Basically had to dial *#0*# and chose it from a menu. This test claimed that I passed but you can see that it is not made to tackle an issue like mine.
Bumping.. Anyone please.
Hi folks
Just inherited a very worn out one year old Xperia X10 from my son. Been trying to resurrect it.
About 2 or 3 months ago the touchscreen started to become non-responsive occasionally. Admittedly, I didn't look at it for him at the time. Then he dropped it down the loo (think - hope! - there was only water in it at the time). We dried it out in the hotpress and it worked ok but still with intermittent touchscreen not working.
He got a Blackberry from Santa, so a couple of weeks ago I inherited the Xperia. The screen was cracked in several places and totally non-responsive. Rather than chuck it in the bin, I thought I'd try and fix it up. So I bought a new screen on ebay and the other night I dismantled it and fitted the new screen. Touchscreen is still totally non-responsive. There was a slight rust on the perforated metal plate at the back of the screen which I carefully cleaned with WD40. All the connections and circuits look ok. I've updated it successfully on both PC Companion and SEUS.. I've also tried flashing using instructions from this forum but cannot get it right (most flashtool symbols greyed out). I have a feeling that it's a simple problem but just can't get there. The screen display is fine, I can get the camera and the keyboard up using the buttons. But damned if I can get the touchscreen to work. I feel the problem harks back to when the screen was intermittent - it still worked after the water/screenbreak, but not that well.
Anybody got any ideas or should I bin it? (Can't seem to get any worthwhile advice on the WWW - happened upon this forum while searching and thought - "This is my MAN". (One suggestion I saw on the web was to try a new battery - can't see how this would make a difference, present battery working fine. Also, I wondered if the proximity sensor could be on all the time?)
Hello Guys
A question to those people who disassembled their LG P500
I Have recently replaced entire housing to a new one, including touchscreen digitizer(went from red body to white).
Everything went fine, however i did not aligned sensor rubber correctly and had to disassemble phone again. After correct alignment and final assembly, discovered that touchscreen does not work anymore...
Phone is working fine, but no touches registered.
Any ways to check correct contact between touchscreen and motheboard ?
tried several times, but no luck
any useful notes are welcomed
Thanks

anyone ?
Already tried to replace like 3 different touchscreen digitizers - no luck - so i'm sure it is not digitizer malfunction....
Take it to service

Hello,
Leading up to this problem I had this awful screen issue (screen burn in) way before I did all that and ordered it to get it fixed.
When it finally came (in amazing condition) I replaced the old screen for the new one very carefully and booted it to power it on and it works just fine.
But issues popped up.
Double tap to wake would not work, and wave to wake up wouldn't either and now when I get a call the phone is stuck on a black screen.
Oddly auto screen brightness works just fine so I am thinking the new panel is causing the issue.
Solved!
There is a rubber gasket that eliminates light interference between the two sensors. When it is placed correctly the sensors would work just fine.
Sadly I did not know that the gasket was needed to be removed from the old frame to the new one. (it's not mentioned in most disassembly repair videos)
Sensor issue after screen replacement
I just replaced my screen on the same phone, and I'm having the same issue, before I open if up again, where's that located to be precisely? Just to know what I'm looking for. Thanks so much in advance
