dwongrade from global beta to global stable - Redmi Note 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
to be able to install xposed, I m trying downgrading my global beta rom 5.11.12 to the last stable, without loosing data.
When install it, its boot, but the radio is shutdown, sim not detected and get "com.android.phone has stopped working "
have you any idea to resolve this,
restoring data manuelly will be very annoying task
Thank you

Switching between a developer rom and a stable rom need a wipe data. You must do a wipe data if you want it

I am a little confused, what is the latest global stable rom?
I read about 7.0.12.0 here: http://en.miui.com/thread-182209-1-1.html?mobile=2 but can´t find it anywhere... the most current I can find is 7.0.8.0
And where do I find out on which dev rom this stable is based, or at least which set of features this stable rom has ?

Stable HTCActivityLogExe.exe

Hi all
Do you have an s740 with normal ROM or beta?
My phone (ROM is russian and beta) has a buggy HTCActivityLogExe.exe
When I use default theme, I have crazy memory leaks, RAM ends about 2 times daily
Which ROM version do you use? HTCActivityLogExe buggy or not? Which HTCActivityLogExe do you use?
My ROM version is 1.14.401.1. I have no problems with memory leaks. My device can ran a few days without a problem.
can you dump your ROM? or I can tell you files I need
so I can test your version of HTCActivityLog.exe
my version is 1.07.411.0...
I have same version as omikr0n. ROM dump is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2924488&postcount=9
thanks, i try it

Offical CM 7.2 Question

Hello I have a Question about the Offical Cm 7 for our Ace.
Are there actually Bugs?
Is it allday usable?
In the past I used cm allready, but I was not very happy with it (Jusada Icecream Sunday Final and an other port...)
because many apps stucked and did a force close...
How is ist in the offical version?
I like the official nightlies of CM7.2- I found them stable enough to base my custom ROM on it
The new cm roms are pretty much stable for daily use....
as for -> " are there any bugs " all i can say is
.
.
.
.
.
lololololololololololololololololllllll
yes but in my oppinion cm laggs more than a stock rom...
and my apps close not so oft in a stock rom like in cm
I installed the current version of CM7 last night I haven't had much problems with it so far. Try it out (make a back-up of your stock rom first) & you always go back to stock if you're not happy with it!!
are there still issues with Link2SD.?

Best stable rom

Hi
I bought a Moto e 2015 (lte so surina) to give to my mother for Christmas.
She will use a little (some photo, whatsapp, call and sms).
I don't know if I have to stay stock or is better to unlock boot loader and root for unistall bloat to have more free ram.
If I would flash a Rom what you suggest me? A stock based? I like cm but I cannot flash the nightly every day, the smartphone is not mine... I'm looking for stable and light rom
Thank you
Try rr rom
rr? Ok.
Any idea?
Idea about what? Rr means ressurection remix fast and stable enough for daily driver
aosp 5.1 + squid kernel - I'm using this configuration for about a month now and everythig works fine, it's simple as stock and fully stable.
or just stay stock, for basic things it can be fine, just turn off all moto apps in app settings that you can and instal nova launcher.

What is the best for redmi note 4 Miui or custome roms

I tried all found that MIUI is more stable than other Rom. RR and lineage have some bugs. I didnt found any on MIUI. What are your thoughts guys.
Maybe the best of the two worlds? A custom ROM based on MIUI?
My next try will be surely the Mi-globe ROM, where you can also choose the components to be included.
I prefer custom rom.
Using AOSP Extended and it's nice.
Give it a try.
Custom rom will have some bugs that's main issue. If I wanna use rom for daily driver it should be bug free. So Native roms of device are better than custom ones. It can be used by rooting and doing tweaks to official roms.
I'm having issue with gps while using MIUI. Maybe it's just my phone.
Haven't try custom MIUI.
Currently I'm using Slim rom because I prefer stock Android experience. No issue with gps.
dude seriously!!! Custom Roms Like Aex/Rr are officially Fully Stable no Bug On Em.. only minor Bugs Which are negligible so If u want to try ill recommend Aex Which is fully stable and u can use it as daily driver without any problem and battery backup is same on all rom it depends on ur usages.

I will give it a try Aex( I tried MIUI 9 china beta ,lineage OS and Rr)
I guess it depends on the end user. I mean, I have used MIUI, COOL UI, Zen UI etc. I would say, every ROM is good in their own. I personally prefer stock ROM. One of the reason for me is that Custom ROM (Cool UI on Coolpad Note 5) sometimes creates laggy experience.
The main thing that I didn't like in MIUI is some of the cool notification things that are present in Stock Android. That's why I switched to Lineage, Resurrection Remix, and finally on AOSP Extended.

Jumping from Oreo 8.1 to miui 10.2

So I'll be getting my phone back from mi care after repair and they said everything will be wiped and the miui will be rolled back to default miui 9.6 as it was shipped. I mainly use my poco to play Pubg and the latest 10.3 miui was having a lot of bugs and the game was simply unplayable, now that I can go to 10.2 again, I just want to know if I can directly install miui 10.2.2 from the official recovery rom I found...Can I install it without unlocking the bootloader, from the mi updater settings, jumping from 8.1 oreo to miui 10.2.2? Is it completely fine or can it cause any damage? This is my first post ever and some help will be much much appreciated.
