I'm working in a custom ROM over Lollipop 5.1 (launcher5.bid)
To make pre-positioned some widgets in the home screens I use launcher.db.
After positioning the widgets in the screens I extract the launcher.db file and I put this file in the folder /media/config in the system.img.
It's work, after flashing the phone alls widgets are in the place BUT....
If I change the system language launcher crash and some widgets are replace for others widgets and the home become a mess.
Why?
Please HELP!!!

I have extracted all of the files and found the images for the icons that come with the launcher and I'm wondering how I can replace them with ones I have edited in photoshop...
I have modified them and tried placing them on my sd card then selecting them from "custom icon" but they wont show up full size like the stock icons do when I select one from "LauncherPro Icons".
Any help would be appreciated!
I don't know how to make a perfect Sense dock button replacement. Not even searching around on launcherpro.com/forum or lpsense.allo-mobile.fr/ made anything very clear.
In the meantime, for a custom icon, I've tried using a 640x480 transparent canvas with an ~350x350 icon in the bottom right hand corner of that canvas, exporting to png.
This seems to at least get the desired icon somewhat properly sized and centered in its dock area. Definitely not perfect though.
Editing your icons
Download Apk Manager 5.0 from xda developers website or search at google (apk manager 5.0 zip and you will find mediafire link), and try to edit the apk with it, first extract then edit the images then zip it then sign it, now uninstall previous apk and install new one(it was unable to overwrite the apk but installed after uninstalled the original).
All images are changed will create a new style sense ui using apk manager.

hi guys today I made a video about Galaxy s8 launher for all android devices.
it is not the original launcher of course but its almost 1:1 the same
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OHWrbsgkt0
1) download the zip file in the description box of the video and extract it
2) install all apks in there
3) move all other folders to the first path of your phone ("emulated/0")
4) press homebutton and select nova launcher
5) go to nova settings and apply the dreamux icons which the files already include
6) then go to the backup restore option in the nova settings and selet the first file and wait until it is applied
7) press on the unfinished wheather widget and add your city
8) after that add s8 googl search bar using zooper widget (explained in the video)
is just a simple theme, not the real apk, change the title is confusing :s
