Question And FeedBack about Shortcut Lock Screen Mod [MM] - Xposed Framework Modules

Dear All,
I just published Shortcut Lock Screen Mod [MM] which enable to do the same thing that the module Custom Stock Lollipop Lockscreen but on Android Marshmallow. The version should be stable however if you describe bugs in this thread, I would be glad to solve it. I have done a few set of test on my Nexus 6P but it should works on any device with stock Android Marshmallow (Stock ROM). This module allows you to change the two shortcuts on the stock lockscreen.
You can use this thread if you have any question or feedback about the module.
PS: English is not my native language, please don't mind for the spelling & grammar mistakes.

Changelog 2.3:
New feature: You can change the color of the ClockView, Icon Tint, ...
New feature: You can resize the icons
Changelog 2.2:
Fix bug regarding the hide icons feature which seemed not working on some devices

Hey, what does the floating action button do? The apps get set once I select them from the list. Also, is it possible to set the left shortcut to none?

Hey, The floating action button enable to customize a bit more specifically your "shortcuts" like change the icon by an other one from your gallery, customize the text which appear when you click on it or activate/disable the natural white tint of the icon.
Regarding the visibility of the icons, if you uncheck the checkbox on the main screen (and after restarted) the icon should be not shown on the lock screen. But it seems to not working on all devices, so be sure to update the module with the last version I just published (v2.2) which should fix the problem.
PS: Sorry for my poor english, hope it helps. I added some screenshots to help my speech ^^

Why does the lock screen unlock after I press a shortcut? I use a shortcut to toggle torch and wud like it if screen did not unlock. Thanx. For the awesome module

Hello, yeah in fact you need to swipe to launch the shortcut and this "swipe action" result to unlock the device. When I was developing the module I was thinking about google maps routes shortcut, reminder shortcut, ... I didn't think about "toogle" shortcut like flash-light, wifi, 3G/4G data,... but it's a very good idea in fact. I will try to add this feature "onClick action" on a future update.
Hope it helps

Works well. But the error log.

Hey. I have found a bug in latest version. I have a Nexus 5x with fingerprint scanner and if I change the color only the color of my fingerprint icon is changed. Also if I have colour set to white the icon and text does not turn red on unsuccessful fingerprint scan. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi you're not doing something wrong. I haven't tried the module with a device with fingerprint feature so I may miss some points. Thanks for sharing this bug.

First thank you for your work.
Just a thought - maybe you could make color change optional, so some of us with issues could turn it off (at least for now)...

Hey, I really enjoy your mod, works nice, but icons aren't changing, I still have the Phone and Camera one :/
I have Z5 Premium with MM, rooted etc. maybe lockscreen is a bit customized by sony, really dunno

Hello,
I really like this module, but isn't working on my phone
I can change the icon and it's size, but when I swipe from right, it doesn't open the app I choose, it opens the camera instead.
Also, I would like to ask if it's possible to create a color option to let lockscreen colors like the stock one, because the actual option change it a little.
PS: I've a Moto X 2nd gen running stock 6.0

Original Shortcuts
How do you restore the original shortcuts?

Thanks!

Does this only works with aosp or it also works with touchwiz?

Hi, congratulations for this great module. I've used since August in my OP3 and it works great. But you can add a functionality to pick icons from 3rd party icons pack apps? Instead gallery or default phone icons. This should be great.

Changes shake for camera
I have an odd issue. I previously used the lollipop version of this module and it was awesome. I've just recently finished updating my phone to marshmallow, and noticed an odd behavior.
I have the droid turbo with the gesture action shake to open camera. If my phone is off or the lockscreen is active, and I replace the camera shortcut, it also replaces the app for shake to camera. If I unlock the phone and do the shake gesture it goes to camera fine. The problem only occurs when the phone is locked.
I guess it could be a cool feature to be able to chase the shake gesture app, but in this case I'd prefer it not to do that.
Keep up the good work though! I love this module!

Does this works for nougat? Or is there any other module like this for N?

Yes this is working for N as I'm running a custom ROM 7.1.2 on my nexus 6.
After applying and reboot if the lock screen shortcuts just shows a blank tinted circle then go back into the module and uncheck "Activate icon tint with global theme color". Reboot again to apply.

one thing about lockscreen... i disable lockscreen in cyanogenmod settings, and it's working ok. but... when i hit power button, the lockscreen stays on for 30 seconds (just like screen timeout time). the default one is on for 5 sec.
... and that's the only problem i have, if i can call it one.

Auto Rotate Screen?
I just installed this launcher and have been enjoying it a lot so far. I have noticed though that when I slide my phone open the screen does not rotate to the landscape view. I went into Settings/Display and made sure that Auto-Rotate Sceen was checked, but that doesn't fix the problem. Can anyone help me out?
if you had some screen shots would be perfect. thx anyway!
I'm having the same prob with lack of auto-rotate, doesn't even go to landscape once the keyboard is slid out....is this a portrait-only launcher? HELP!

Its simular to MiUi Launcher. It works btw but at start you may get a FC. Its fast its got style. Oh and it has a lockscreen inside. Greatest launcher ever.
Its already v2.2 now.
like it but....
I like this launcher but regrettably I switched back to GO because of the FC problem (even did a hard reset and redo all apps installation and configuration still same problem... **sigh**)... hopefully they could fix the bug cause I really like the responsiveness and simplicity of it... btw, it has the most responsive lock screen I have used...

Can you add home button on/off phone call
and maybe something to re-enable blur effect on noitifcation panel in miui 8?
Or fullscreen notification panel in miui 8 in landscape mode?
Or customize color of weather change in status bar color miui8
Please add all the options in miui tweaks module. If those options are also there in it, it will be a perfect module for miui rom.
Can you add an option to remove blue effect in notification panel of miui7? Or make an option to create the same blur in navigation bar as well when notification panel is slided down. Because when i activate navigation buttons i get blurred notifiction panel & non blurred navigation bar, looks ugly.
As well as can you add an option to remove in call ui blur? Miui tweaks has this option but it doesn't appear in my list.

Can you make the same module for MIUI 8? Some settings work but most doesn't, like, "Notifications Volume" (soft reboots the device).
Also, add an option for "PIN modifier" (like offset by XX value) when using current time as PIN. Thanks!

Explain please more detailed, I don't quite understand what you mean.
Also I want add "Shuffle PIN keypad" option to randomly change positions of numbers buttons.
For example, by default keypad looks as:
Code:
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9
0
But when this option will be enabled keypad each time will be randomly shuffled, for example:
Code:
0 8 4
9 3 1
5 2 6
7
and so on...

There's an option "Pin with time" in your module which makes the current time as your PIN. What i meant was, add an option to modify the pin by an offset.
For example, lets say the time is 19:10, if i offset it by -10, the PIN will be 1900, by +10 it'll be 1920 and so on. So the PIN will be current time +/- offset.
I am already using this feature using "ProtectedApps" module. But it'll be great if you can add it.
Also I want add "Shuffle PIN keypad" option to randomly change positions of numbers buttons.
For example, by default keypad looks as:
Code:
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9
0

9 3 1

That's one more awesome mod!
I have a few more suggestions.
1. Expand Notifications by default (notifications will always be expanded)
2. Extended reboot menu (reboot to recovery, fastboot etc)
Also, is it possible to arrange the apps by name in the default MIUI launcher? If it is, then an option for that too.
Thanks!

Now it works exactly as you describe above except that negative value can't be used.
Now (with enabled option), if you set PIN to "0000" then "real PIN" will be exactly current time.
If you set PIN to "0010" then "real PIN" will be current time +10 and so on.
So, as I said exactly what you ask except "negative offset".

POCO Launcher

POCO Launcher is surprisingly simple and elegant — at least, for Xiaomi. It might look simple, but it packs in plenty of options, including things as detailed as different transition animations, sort of like Nova Launcher. The app drawer is accessible via a convenient and typical upward swipe, and apps are organized by type into categories like communication and entertainment.
The setup process is straightforward, and there are a surprising number of individual settings to explore, though it doesn't hold a candle to things like Nova Launcher when it comes to sheer customization options. Presumably, it's also in active development, so we should see more features landing soon.
Unfortunately, we can't download it over on the Play Store since the beta program registration is currently full. However, we can download it from APK Mirror .

It depends on the theme that you have installed in your MIUI-powered phone. For example "Geometry Black" that I have in my Mi5 is dark everywhere. In general, the default themes that xiaomi phone have are light-themed.
I don't know what is the similar theme for Poco and if this theme is compatible with it as I don't have it yet.

geometry black is available in themes and it tuns background o black for settings and all. The app drawer still stays white tough, which defeats its purpose. It more for MIUI & not optimised for "MIUI for POCO"
Just moved to Nova for a two reasons:
*no option to set grid sizes ( desktop and app drawer).
*Nova teslaUnread add on solves (at least temporary) lack of notification problem in notification bar.
*ability to change color/transparency of app drawer background.

By this do u mean the unread count badge on home page icons or does Nova give u notification in the status bar.
Even Poco gives unread badge just not the counts.

Yes, I meant badges and sadly is doesn't work properly for some apps. maybe I missed this option on poco launcher. But still grid adjustment is nesasary.
Yeah, it's great, but I would like to have 4 icons in a row with bigger icons, such as in iOS.
Also, some kind of live or scrollable wallpapers support would be nice.
Individual change of icons such as in Nova Launcher, too.

It's basically the same miui launcher with the added app drawer
its there a way to change the navigation bar color scheme, for some reason on dark apps the navigation bar below its all white its horrible
Something funny i noticed with Poco launcher.
Locking homescreen layout should mean no icon/widget can either be added to or removed from the homescreen.
But apparently, after you lock homescreen layout in settings, you can still add an app shortcut to the homescreen but you can't add a widget!
Just updated to latest Poco launcher, was the word on the header at the app drawer before?

GravityBox Lockscreen Tweaks Update Suggestions Requests Please! Thank You!

Hi!
I am using GravityBox with Xposed installed on my "Vernee Apollo" phone (the 2K version not the "Lite" version) which runs Android 6.0. The phone has full root.
Using GravityBox with Android 6.0 you have to realize that I don't know what exact and complete functions have GravityBox on its upper versions for later android versions, so I have to ask for developers for a few upgrades for the "Lockscreen Tweaks" section if I may, based on "GravityBox [MM]" only, please! Thank you for your understanding!
To get to the point here, below are the functions/settings I would like to see for the next releases of GravityBox:
1. Add More shortcuts than the 7 standard ones. Maybe we need to have 8, 10, 15 shortcuts on the lockscreen window, displayed on 2-3 rows. I am referring to these particular standard icons and not the "Pie controls" and/or "Application launcher" (I am not using these two sections/functions at all).
2. Add an option to make these 7 icons for these 7 shortcuts to be visible or unvisible/hidden on the lockscreen window. What I mean is the icons to become visible only when a notification arrives and after I see that linked notification, that (those) icon(s) to become hidden again. In this way we would have a clear lockscreen, only with the clock and/or date.
3. Upgrade the standard (stock) icons for the added 7 icons on the lockscreen (those stock white ones) , with updated icons! For instance, the icon for "Messenger" (from Facebook) app is not present in the stock white icons list and I have to use the "Hangouts" (Google) icon for it. You might consider to add (update the stock white integrated list icons) with more relevant icons for representative world wide known applications (like "Messenger" and so on).
4. Add the posibility to move down this 7 standard/stock white icons row on the lockscreen window, anywhere we want on the screen, between hour/date and unlock key icon from the bottom. In this way we can organize the lockscreen visual appearence as we please.
5. Add a function to add a PIN code for locking the screen directly from GravitBox (maybe a home screen shortcut for this function too) and not to use android stock security settings for that.
Thank you for your time and I hope you will add these functions/settings soon!
Have a wonderful life!

It could be done, but since the apps won't be adapted for it, it might well obscure some app buttons at the bottom of the screen, so I am not inclined to do it. But if you want to, you can take the source code and just change opacity = 0xff to whatever you like in Hook.java.

Finally, one that works. Tried on my Samsung Note 9 on Android 10. Thank you for sharing this module.
Edit: Turned out, it interferes with a button on my installed calendar app. I can't click a button at the bottom. I had to un-select my calendar app in LSposed. For my other apps, this module works fine so I still use it.
I just added two nav bar options in addition to black:
- 50% translucent
- match status bar (white when status bar is whitish; else black)

Hi @arpruss , would you consider adding another option for the nav bar to match the status bar color? For example when status bar is blue then nav bar is blue also.
Works perfectly on Oreo, thanks a lot
Hey, sorry for multipost but I wanted to push it to the top..
I'm on Oreo with the last, fully working version of Xposed as magisk module.
I noticed that some apps fail to "acknowledge" the navbar with your module enabled and that results in bottom bar,if they have one, being behind it and not being able to see or use it.
Can you please look into this issue?
Thanks for the module, I've been looking for something like this. Been using Nacho Notch to simulate something similar.
Seems like it can create some oddities in some apps. For example I've enabled it for YouTube (Vanced) and when I try to post a comment it refuses to show the comment box above the keyboard. Very odd issue, but it's fixed when I disable the module.
Also I cannot force the statusbar to be black?
I'm on Android 10 with an Xperia 5 ii

Yeah, I had the same problem.
Some apps even don't show the bottom menu if they have it.
It's really a pity cause I use both navbar customized with GravityBox and Xposed Edge for gestures and can't imagine my life without both of them lol ;P
So I have to bear the white navbar for now
