Hey all,
So LG in their YouTube video titled 'LG V10 Bluetooth Mic Recording' shows the LG Tone Actives being used as a wireless mic to record the audio in the video(at least they allude to it and no other mic is visible on him). I'll attach a screenshot here too from that video showing the Bluetooth icon on the V10 screen. I wonder how they accomplished this, if it's a feature not enabled yet either on phone or Tones, or if LG marketing/product just got it wrong and misrepresented that their Tones can actually work in this way.
I would pay someone if they figure this out.
Don't know if we can post links here but just search it in YouTube and watch the 30 second video.

Pretty much as the title explains, I'm trying to figure out if there is a way I can record using the camera on the phone, But record my voice through the hands free earphones.
Why?
Because I like to record with my phone mounted on my motorbike, I'd would be better if I could record from the mic as
A) I can talk
B) The mic Can be shielded by my helmet to remove all the wind noises.
I've searched through the forums, So sorry if It's been asked/Answered, I had no luck finding anything with google or here. The best option I got was use "Lg Camera", But I had no luck with external microphone options there unfortunately

i got the strangest issue with mic on my LG V10
when i call someone they cannot hear me. but i when i record the voice on it can.
also Video recording app will not pick up the voice from the bottom mic (the meeter on the app will not show it but when i tap on it it will pick up)
i tried factory reset but did not fix the issue.
please advise...

Sadly if even factory resetting didnt work its most likely either you have something blocking the mic port or its broken, have you dropped it in sand, water, mud/dirt, anything like that and gotten things on the mic? (if you dont know there is a mic on the top of your phone, top left, and bottom right next to the speaker.)

I think, I have some microphone problems. I was using my phone in the pool, and I think the main microphone got damaged. I'd like to ask the community a favor: if you have the same phone, will you please take a recording with the "HD Audio Recorder" (default app on the phone) in a quiet room, and say "test recording" after a few seconds of absolute silence. I'd like to do a comparison, so I'm gonna need the .m4a file. You can send it to [email protected] email address.

yesterday I installed the 14.1-20180719-NIGHTLY-h850 version of LineAgeOS on my phone.
Everything worked fine, but then I found a bug.
WhatsApp voice mails and any other voice record doesn't have any sound except an cracky sound at the beginning, after that, theres no sound.
The strange thing is, when I record a video with any camera App, theres normal mic sound, maybe a little bit crackling.
Do you know how to fix this?
PS: If I connect a headset, I get very strange Sound in WhatsApp voice mails/records etc and no Sound in Discord.
Also WhatsApp and Snapchat (no more tested) don't record the sound with Headset mic rather the normal phone-mic.
Ok guys, after flashing it new... a few times... I got normal mic performance when no Headphones or Headsets are connected.
If so, the mic level is very, very, low.
Any ideas?
My mic doesnt work regardless if I was on stock, downgraded version, custom ROM, etc. I dont know what to do. I do have the same symptom as yours tho where when I record, there is a few pops at the beginning then just silence
I got the replacement module for the g5 and not even that fixed it. I am stumped of how to fix this issue.
EDIT: I just now found out that after taking out the motherboard, there was a red sticker covering some golden connectors, after taking that off fixed it. No idea why there was a red sticker there but please check and if it is there then take it off. itll be on the other side of the motherboard..

My JSN-L22 received an update tonight. I'm now on emui 9.1.0.217
I went to record a game this morning and the internal audio record option is gone.
The tick that used to be there to click it is nowhere to be seen, there's only the mic icon.
If mic is on it records mic, if it's off it's completely muted.
I've recorded internal audio around the 29th of July so it definitely was this update...
WTF I'm pretty livid tbh. I loved that inbuilt feature!
But I don't see any news about it on the internet, so I wonder if it's only me?
Please tell me of some 3d party app that will let me do this again :/ Does Mobizen internal sound record even work on the 8x? :crying: Goes without saying I don't have root >_>
Internal audio record is not gone
It's not gone actually. You just have to make sure that the mic icon on the upper left hand side of the screen is turned off. The system should automatically record the game sound.
In fact, This update allow us to listen to the game sound while recording it. While in the previous versions, the game sound is muted when you're recording.
