after installation, the camera app create a new folder in "DCIM" named "100MEDIA" and any photo i take, does not appear in any of them picture app. Any idea? (CM 13 + Slim Gapps)

Focus is way better. ISO selection not available tho, and everytime I exit the HTC Camera, my Do Not Disturb mode is turned off. Tried messing up with app permissions but had no luck. Quality seems the same over stock and lacks Slow Motion mode.

Hi there! I recently found out that Siyah Kernel allows dual booting on the S3, so I took the plunge and used it to install RootBox as my second ROM. I'm quite happy with it, but I'd love to have the Samsung camera's features back - particularly, the HDR and low light modes.
Does a mod exist that allows the TW camera to work, or has there been any previous technical discussion of this that may help me in my quest to make one?
I tried to port it myself with my minimal modding skills, but it turned out to be more complex than I expected: the furthest I got was getting the Samsung camera UI to appear and then pop up "Camera failed". I broke camera functionality entirely for all other apps, too
I'm now [slowly] downloading the Android source to see if I can make the necessary modifications to make Samsung's camera libraries work, but in the meantime, I'd love to know if there's something I missed in my searches. All I found was an XDA thread requesting a port of the GS3 camera to the GS2, and a thread on another board which included some interesting info from someone who had tried porting the GS3 camera to AOSP but nothing I didn't already know.
Any info on this would be appreciated. Thank you!
I dont think anyone is even trying. The aosp mod 2.60 in themes section is good but I recommend installing camera 360 from play for effects and cool hdr

I took that as a challenge and have been working on it nonstop since yesterday
I have the camera working on my modded ROM now, I'm hoping to release the ROM and the source patches (for applying to other ROMs) once I get more of the features working (I would like to at least fix Low Light and the Camcorder) and knock out a couple issues like the app launching the non-existent TW gallery to view photos.

Now that I'm here again, I may as well ask- where would the best place be to post this? It's related to both a modded app and a modded ROM so I don't know whether it would fit better in Development or Themes/Apps.

I want to Use the MIUI Camera App in a 7.1 Rom.
Anybody know how to extract the app and install this in a newer Rom?
I know that the . most of the 7.x Rom´s have Camera Issues and we are Happy to make Picture with them but to try a Slow Motion Video/ Timelapse or HDR without a Third Party app out of the Play store would a nice thing be =)

I don't think that it'll be possible... And also if you somehow do it, it won't work as good as when you were using it on MIUI... There are some better camera mods to use...

I think the MIUI camera takes the best pictures. It's the only reason I haven't moved to a custom rom yet as my daily driver.
I was cm fan but when i tested miui i can't leave this system , it's much better than cm ,and it's more like custom rom rather stock Android

actually miui camera will need various of miui rom api's, so it is very difficult to port
Asked for the same before and from what I understood, porting that app will be super difficult. But I concur the camera app under MIUI is just that good. Would be mint to have it on other ROMs

Yep there is a big difference, if you get the device you will notice
without stock camera there is lot of noises in low light and non of the camera can take image like hdr pro mode in miui cam, and also the manual mode, some of camera enable manual but only limited like shutter speed to 1/s or the max iso to 1600, i tried lots of cam flashable zips or app store app none of them are good.:crying::crying::crying:

Some parts are not working and manual modes are currently not enabled, until current state is stable.
Installation:
Just install it like a normal apk
Known bugs:
- freezes on flash photo
- empty texts
- no images in some parts
- force closes sometimes
- sd card issue like in v10 cam
To help getting better this app, send me logs please.

Hi everyone....I'm testing this on my d851 and its working (as well as an alpha should). I think you will have to adjust the dpi since the g6 is a 18x9 res so the manual mode buttons are clipped. I think its above above the flash button.

Can anyone make it clear about the bugs and perks so far? It can be installed as a normal app, but without replacing any stock camera? As said previously, I have V10 + G5 on my phone and don't want one to be erased
Working on custom stock based ROM (6.0) on LG G3 D855 variant with some minor custom FCs but is a really a great app. It can be installed as a regular app and you don't lose any camera app. OiS autofocus seems to work too.
Is it wishful thinking for this would work on AOSP / Lineage ROMs?
Normally we need the camera libs or something that very clever people know about
Works on The G5, both cameras, i noticed that food mode is missing(not that I actually need it)

Yes wishful thinking, still same story, LG don't release necessary things and won't. Stock based ROMs only. I'm currently on Lineage for N but I find Footej a pretty good camera seeing as there are currently issues with the snapcam too.

Use per app settings in Xposed to change the dpi for this app.
Works on my G4. It will be good to see manual mode

My Device is G5 (h850).
Works:
- Flash + normal and wide angle
- without flash + normal and wide angle
- Everyting in settings
- save on SD Card (foto and video AND also switching both camera in video)
- mode: automatic, popout, multi view, snap, panaroma, time lapse works video and foto (wide + normal)
Dont work:
- OIS and signature
- sometimes FC and freeze

ITS BETTER THAN SNAPDRAGON CAMERA AND I THINK ALL DEVs SHOULD USE IT AS DEFAULT BECAUSE OF ITS FEATURES AND IT'S UI.

Well, I was using it a years ago, I know its good camera app, but I think its need more improvement in focus ring, sometimes AF touch is missed from the object I want to focused, CMIIW. Google Camera or FooteJ is way better IMO

Hello guys,after many tries to make a LG G7 Camera Port for our LG V20 i am glad to be able to bring out a decent build!
What does this Port offer?
-Properly working manual mode with Graphy feature enabled.
-LG G7 Libraries for better and stable experience.
-Some Working G7 Features.
-Better Camera of course(As reported from Users,Better Processing)
Clear Dalvik/cache after installing through TWRP
Cause of the library limitation and the "heavy" configuration file for the G7 features require,enabling some features make others break.
So i removed some features that were causing the camera force close.

yes it will overwrite the old camera anyways gonna put an undo zip soon also so you can go back to the stock one for the v20
Is this build for nougat or oreo? Planning to flash and try to see if its any better than the stock v20 cam. Also can you include a stock camera zip? Wouldnt wanna reflash again and lose all data ?

This is a build for oreo as G7 was firstly released with oreo

As stated works almost perfectly, for me I feel like camera opens a bit faster, some mods crashes and square auto thing won't respond.

If you read the thread carefuly you'll understand why some things can't work but i am doing my best also overall i think it's better than stock as i have used both and the port seems way better on many things i've compared pics

When a Stock Pie Rom will be out this port can be used yes but if you mean LineageOs 16 no this camera can't be ported to any aosp cause of the different framework the Roms share

Always depends what libraries will be of the G7 or anything else i hope you get me and what i am trying to say.The needed libraries(for now) are already in the zip otherwise the cam could crash by using any feature,i got a stock G7 camera config everything will be easier to fix and we will get more features for sure.

There is a guy here with a thread who made custom libs for the V20 (nougat) that changes how the phone processes images, like less sharpening, slight vignette, stuff like that.
I think he is close to making his custom libs work for oreo so i was kinda wondering if i can replace the libs from the G7 port in the phone and have the G7 camera still work
