I have opened the S6 edge and in the process I have broken the Jack from the charging board.
After putting it back together I have realized that volume buttons are not working any more.
My question is: Are volume buttons somehow connected with the jack or I have broken some other part as well?
Thank you.

i have a galaxy s2 and i need the volume buttons spare part because my phone dropped into water and the up volume button does not working.where i can find spare parts;;;
because of the Zagg invisble shield moisture my power button has been destroyed.
Samsung won't replace my broken galaxy tab so I've though up this idea but need some help with it.
I am wondering if I can remap the power command to a volume rocker button (long press or something?).
So I can at least wake the device up out of standby.
If it's possible I'd like the device to also boot using the long pressed volume rockers or something. I am now booting it by repetedly pushing and pulling the power cord in it so itll get short pulses which seems to get it booting.
Many thanks!
I have a le pan tc970 (froyo, no root) with a broken power button. I've tried the fix broken power button app but it doesn't work, the tablet still won't wake up with the app activated. The only thing that wakes up the screen is connecting the charger. I've cracked open the back of the tablet and can clearly see where the internal power switch is broken but I didn't have a spare part to fix it, the little spring is broken off, if all else fails I will open it back up and try some tin foil to cover the gap, but I really don't want to.. Does anyone know of another way to remap the power button or at least allow the screen to wake up with a volume button? Or have any insight as to why the fix broken power button app isn't working? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm tearing my hair out.
Hello guyz !
Today I have a question related both on software and hardware.
I have found limited edition headphones for some cyon phone (korea).
They are shiny red, have old multi (21pin) connector plug but I checked that they only use 4 wires.
I got 7 buttons (PREV, NEXT, PLAY/PAUSE, STOP, CALL/END, VOL+, VOL-), microphone and also TRS jack on top.
I've connected only theadphones (short cable ended with TRS jack) to my phone and they sound fantastic.
The question is can I get all of this buttons working or most of them ?
I know how to get vol+, vol- and call buttons, just need to change resistors values but I want more.
Most devices uses only 3 buttons with volume or next/prev track + call.
I've found this but here
HTML:
https://source.android.com/devices/accessories/headset/specification.html
are only 4 buttons.
Is it controlled only by hardware (resistors gives specific voltage) or it can be programmed via software ?
I have a strange issue with the home button not working.
Originally I changed the front camera, rear camera, and mid frame.
I turned it on, and I found that the home button does not work, but the soft buttons did.
I changed the charge port daughterboard, and put in a new home button.
However, the home button still does not work. Everything else does.
Anyone have any ideas if I damaged the motherboard?
