Any mention of a 6.0 ETA? - Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooti

I haven't noticed any mention of an OTA for 6.0 anytime soon. Was our tablet already forgotten? Or is it just taking a while?

Someone needs to update me on my nerd lingo
Next OTA Will most likely be sense 3.5 maybe theyll fix their issue there
And my reason to say most likely is that htc sensation has already recieved its leak of sense 3.5 they should expect it between oct-dec and we get updates about 1-2 weeks after them

I could only imagine the whine if they rushed the update and it bricked people's phones or wiped their data.
I know people think everything in life is/should be instant and perfect...but that's not real life.

Extreme power saving mode?

i just picked up my htc m8 from at&t , i am not sure if I'm going blind or just a noob but i can't seem to find the extreme powering saving mode, anybody else having this issue?
Its not incorporated into the at&t software yet, will be in an update

Only for Sprint so far. I'm sure it'll be out soon, though I'm rooted so I hope there's a way to flash it through twrp.

Yeah basically all the ROMs available already have it baked in.

The 5.0 Thread

So it should be today that we get Lollipop. If you have received the OTA let people know here and post screenshots and findings (and URLs..)
wait
Im so excited about it. I hope we dont wait too much.
Yeah me too!
Since my Nexus 7 LTE and Note 4 will take a few more weeks to get the Lollipop glory.
Just done a format and flashed the stock ROM, now battering the check for update button...
Somehow I'm thinking we'll get the factory images sooner than full OTA today or tomorow, and OTAs should start throughout November up until Nexus 9 LTE and Nexus 6 are out
And here's me thinking that I don't know if I care for 5.0 without xposed :/
Oh well I did a nandroid backup so I can always roll back
Flashed back to stock and ready!

I agree, although I read somewhere that ART causes xposed some problems?
Meanwhile, 13:48pm UK time and no update yet...

As it stands it simply doesn't work with art.
If the dev actually goes back to it to make it work again then it will. For now its simply safer to assume that there shall be no xposed for ART (and therefore 5.0+)
how sure are we that there will be an update today

I've been checking at Google's Factory Images site https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images and so far there's nothing posted.

Unfortunately the situation is not that optimistic, as Rovo89 (the author of Xposed) said:
rovo89 said:
...in short: Wait until the final images and source code drop. Then wait again until it's ready. I can't give any estimation when that will be the case, it depends much on my personal situation. Chance are pretty low that it will be within a month after Lollipop release, and will get higher once I start thinking about flashing a Lollipop ROM myself (which would probably be CM12, and I think these guys won't give us a timeline either, for good reasons). I'm still not 100% sure Xposed for Lollipop will work, but I hope that in some way it will, even if it might not be as compatible with most ROMs and as easy to install as it is for Android 4.x.

We have to wait and keeps fingers crossed.
He wrote that months ago, that's one. Second - ART in the latest dev preview is pretty much finalized. Third - knowing XDA in general, adapting Xposed for 5.0 should not take more than a couple of weeks

Yup, its very strange. Can imagine why the beta 7`s are too buggy for an official release but now a delay for the monthly patch for the 6P! It will be up pretty soon though i guess.
NRD90R and NRD90S are out.
It appears the original release may have caused issues which is why they've held back on some devices and issued quick successive releases on the ones that have.

But not out for the 6p yet... right?
Not yet, these were released today so as long as they fix the issues I'd expect 6P to be releases in next day or so.
6.0.1 MTC20L is up now. OTA link https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/ota.
6.0.1 (MTC20L) is out for 6.0.1, but still no Nougat factory image...
Was sure hoping we got a factory image for N today.

If it fixed the issue it would have gone through beta testing last week and the 6p would get it the same time as the update going out for all other phones. The release they did today was Septembers security update.
Think there are other motives for holding it back.

I'm starting to think the same. But then again, why release the 5x images?
Maybe there's some exclusive N feature that's going to launch with the Pixel phones that'll also be on the 6P, but they want it to launch on that phone first before they roll it out in an update? Idk.

Doubt it, it's more likely they have bug problems.
Maybe we'll get something special. By that I mean whatever goodies are going to be on the new pixel phones. Maybe that's why Google had been holding back, they plan to treat us with exclusives

For as long as the developer previews have been out i can't believe they have this many bugs all the sudden. They have something up their sleeve, thats for sure. Just hope it's something good haha.
Every N ROM I've tried has had intermittent issues connecting to the camera (on the 6P). MM doesn't have those issues. Maybe that's one of the issues holding it back.

Confirmed: Axon 7 to receive official 7.1.1 update coming soon

ZTE is amazing with these updates. Such a treat to have the latest software, and the first to get it.
