[REQUEST] Choose main microphone - Xposed Framework Modules

Hello
I'd like to request an xposed module for picking the microphone source. Since the main microphone of my Sony Z1 Compact is broken, but my secondary mic is working fine: is this possible? I am not a programmer, but this seems to help:
http: //developer.android. com/reference/android/media/MediaRecorder.AudioSource.html
I would like to pick the main microphone for calls/skype/whatsapp-calls etc.
Please let me know if this is possible. Thanks!
(I'm running Stock-Rom 14.6.A.1.216 with root access)

I'am looking for the same thing, but i have an S3 International. My main mic (Builtin_mic) is broken but the second one (camera mic) works well. I'm looking to find something in audio_policy.conf but i'm not sure i'm searching in the right place. Please help us!

If someone knows where to change it manually, this would be helpful as well. No need for an Xposed-Module, but I thought it would make things easier

I already asked to some devs but unfortunatly they all have no free times to do this. There is an app called "SoundAbout" that allow to change the default output settings (earpiece, speaker, bluetooth etc.) It would be awsome if could exist an app that allow to change the input microphone like "Hi-q mp3 recorder" that allow to record from the back mic too, but only inapp, without changing settings to e intere phone.

I'm with you guys.. bump for this request

No ideas? Would be a huge present for me, since I wouldn't need to buy a new phone
Doesn't even have to be an Xposed Module.

BUMP

I knew a way but I forgotten.
damn.
need It badly

Hi, have you find some way to do it ?
My Camcorder sound is horrible, but when I select MIC source, audio is way better for audio input. But I don't find too how to set MIC as default for all-apps...
Thanks for any help

Anyone found a solution yet? Asking for my Motivation X 2014.

[Hacker needed !! ] Eten Skype fix speaker file

Hi: This flie is from Eten x500.
After install the .cab file, go to setting>sound , and then there is third tab available. check the box to enable the sound redirect to earphone.
However, this does not work with the HTC phones.
Can anyone hack this file to make it work on HTC??
Thanks
I'm also looking for program with same functionality (changing front/back speaker sound routing), I know it's not simple task and I even wrote pm to Superdave about it because he wrote sound routing dll for widcomm drivers and probably knows most about sound routing in hermes. Unfortunatelly I didn't get any answer, probably he don't have time to make such feature.
Can anyone hack these files?
Did anyone ever get anywhere with this? I Would love to have Skype on the earphone.
I read somewhere here that this was not possible. The front ear speaker is hardware didicated to the cellular service (or something like that). If it where possible or someone had done it I'm sure it would be a sticky.
I'd just be happy if I could get Skype to work on with my bluetooth.
Maybe some guy can have a look at the SkypeSettings.exe and SkypeSettings.dll files from Eten.
From what I saw, it only deals with the WAV1: device. No more devices are listed. Probably it captures the audio from it and than sends it to front speaker.
It does not run on my PDA. The settings tab also appears grayed out, so the app know it is not an Eten.
Unfortunately I could not debug the file on my device, given that IDA does not work on WM6, but probably both files have a check for Eten device, and if it is of a different brand the apps terminate.
Dumb question, but when you use the sip client on a Hermes, what speaker does the call come out of?

I have found out that the there is a program that routes the Skype audio output to bluetooth: "BT Audio" has been working for me for the past couple of years now since I had the Hermes. Also has worked with the last couple of BT's that I have used and its free. In my Settings>Remove Programs it shows up as: "TP.com BT Audio" I hope this helps.
And yeah it would be great to have Skype transmit via earphone...

[Q] [DEV HELP PLEASE] - Record Line-in in my app

Hey guys and girls;
im new to android dev and java but have managed to get most of the stuff i need/want working in my app, the last piece of the puzzle i am trying to get working is recording a line in input to some sort of audio file, the problem i have is i cant find ANYTHING on how i might go about this.
Can someone give me a bit of help as to how i can get this working? I am not asking for full source (although that would clearly be helpful...) but more some directions as to where i can start making this work by myself.
Thanks for any help that can be offered;
Andy
EDIT:: Sorry just to be clear, i dont want to record a phone call or anything, i want to record from an external audio source, so was planning on using the pseudo line in from the headphone jack

[i9305 LTE] Dock 'Dialler Audio' Kernel Modifications?

Hi guys, first post here on the forums. I have a question/request for something that bugs the hell out of me.
I own one of the iBolt car docks for my s3 4g; it's great and works well (provided I uses a custom kernel like Perseus), my issue is that although the custom kernels can properly detect the dock and route media audio through the aux out, none of them seem to be able to route my call audio through the aux-out and still have the microphone working.
I'm currently using Ripper Rom V9 with the perseus kernel, when I go to place a call it automatically puts the phone on 'speakerphone' and still detects my voice through the inbuilt microphone but I would much prefer for it to come through the aux-out, is this possible with modification of the kernel? This would be very useful for many people I would imagine, it is very hard to hear the other persons voice through speakerphone while my phone is docked up on the dash and I'm driving along. I read somewhere that samsung by default don't allow such configuration, I think it may have been on an audio-redirector app but it only redirected system and media audio.
Any information would be greatly appreciated :good:
Kane.

Setting up Second Mic as Main mic?

So I'm guessing I blowed my main Mic, and now I was wondering if there is any way to set up the secondary mic as the main(for phone calls and whatsapp voice messaging) , since I know this one is still working.
I've been looking through the build.prop and cant seem to find anything defining where the mic settings are or what apps have access to which mic.
I have a galaxy a500fu running custom CM12.1 by the @TheWhisp
I'd be so happy if someone has an idea, because i really don't wanna buy a new mic and open up my phone once again

Need help for s3 microphone

I have an s3 international but the main microphone dosen't work due to an hardware issue whereas the back one (camera microphone) works good. So when i make calls i have to use a bluetooth headset or an headset with built-in mic. I would ask if someone is able to make a sort of mod (even a file that i can replace in system root) to says the phone to use the 2nd mic as default for calls, recorders etc. Even you can't make a mod like this anyone can tell me whose file manage the mic settings? Please help me, many thank in advance!
