Sorry the app is called BlueInput and is the same app you are using. I ended up paying for the application since it works so great. There are no extra features for the paid version that I can see besides the nag is missing when the app is started.
does that look like it's the same kb that works with blueinput ?

Can anyone recommend a full sized bluetooth keyboard (preferably with touchpad or the little IBM nub) that works with the G-Tab? Or is the best bet just to go with an inexpensive USB keyboard (and if so any models with touchpads you can recommend)?
TIA!
Freaking market isn't showing up results for that APK. ARRGGGH.
And the web based market isn't showing up my G-Tab anymore in the device list.
WTH?!? LoL

Has anyone found a different bluetooth keyboard that will work? I tried BlueInput with a microsoft 6000 series bluetooth keyboard and it would pair & connect, but it would never work.
HP bluetooth keyboard
I purchased the new bluetooth keyboard from HP, which says it should work with any HID-compatable device--and can't get the thing to work. I tried with standard settings first (both on my G-tab with Vegan 5.1, and my Evo4G) and could get it to pair, but not connect.
I then tried Blueinput, and got it again to connect, and only to pair with the keyboard--but had no function of the keyboard. I selected the input device to be Blueinput, and the keyboard made keyboard-like sounds when I hit the keys, but no info on the tablet. I selected all the options/settings I could find to select the keyboard (mainly the one mentioned above).
Has anyone else purchased the new HP keyboard (for the Xoom) and got it to work?
So i modded my Atrix with the webtop over HDMI mod and the Full Ubuntu mod. I have LXTerminal installed as well as Rdesktop, which works really well in my opinion.
My question is, what other packages have people been able to install? Would be nice if we could create a list of .deb files that were compiled for arm.

It's giving me an error saying the file system is read only and won't install using sudo dpkg -i.
Do I need to recompile each app from source?
I think the idea of sharing the apps you installed could be nice
Why not just install Synaptic and get whatever you want?

I have synaptic ( I have Ubuntu on all my other PCs since 2004) that's not a problem, as the performance is not the best and beside openoffice I would like to know what applications other find useful on webtop ...
VNC Application
If someone could suggest a decent VNC app, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks.

rdesktop is RDP/ terminal services only, if I'm not mistaken. I'll take a look at Remmina. Thanks.
I ran the script but how do I launch it? Do I do webtop2sd, then run the script?
I'm not new to linux just can't seem to figure this stuff out let alone get any sort of desktop installed.
I prefer Remmina over Rdesktop because of the toolbar when in full-screen mode. It also has a gui, which I'm indifferent about.
Could somebody who installed Remmina give me a hint?
I added the Remmina deb, added the key, updated the package information, but Remmina is still not found by apt-get or synaptic.

+1 on grdesktop and grdc. It does both VNC and RDP, seems to work very well and is clean and simple.

1. Try some other games. For example Eye of the Beholder, Master of Magic and Colonization run here for me with sound.
2. Remeber to adjust the games to DMA 1, Interrupt 7, A220
3. You could try following:
Install package alsa-oss in synaptic.
Start dosbox in terminal by tipping: aoss dosbox -exit
I get faults with this method, and nothing changes.... syndicate still doesnt have sound :-(
*bump*
Just wondering what apps u guys are using.

Can anyone let Abiword launch?
I could launch it in English language environment, but once I changed to Chinese, it won't launch.
Hey guys looking at installing Ubuntu Touch on my Nexus 4 and was wondering if there was a full list of apps available for the OS?
Akari, checkers, minesweeper, euchre, dogfight, Facebook, twitter, Google+, sudoku, RSS reader, slatekit(browser), qr code creator, uFit, uShopper, uWoot, esv bible, dropping letter, word game tabugame, xda, and a few others.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
Once there's a build for the N5 I'd love to see an iRC client (something like XChat or HexChat), a TuneIn Radio App, and a video player like VLC or MPlayer. That's basically how I use my N5 on Android, but with a desktop class mobile OS this should totally be possible.
you can check from the pictures i take

I installed ubuntu & Android dual boot on my nexus 4. you can easily switch between the two platforms. It works really well. There's also a shortcut for XDA-developers. Good luck.

YES! An iRC app! I was hoping for HexChat or XChat to be ported, but if this one works well I'll be happy!

Hello,
a colleague of mine is able to run Android Apps on his BlackBerry with an App. Is there a way do the same with Firefox OS 1.3? I'am using a ZTE Open C.

I don't think so, or let's say, I have serious doubts about that, since Firefox OS is based on JavaScript and HTML. Probably it wouldn't even work with a JVM-implementation written in JavaScript (see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/12316557/javascript-jvm-implementation), because of the CSP and app permissions.
That's too bad. Let's hope someone will find a solution for this problem
This might be the solution http://www.openmobileww.com/#!acl-for-firefox-os/cw07

They basically port the runtime and put a native wrapper around it. They "did" this for webOS and the HP TouchPad, but it was very, very, very limited and they cut and ran almost immediately after they released the initial version.
Stay far away.

Downloading now. Will try it out soon. I just recently got a TV with this app built into it. Seemed very decent. Love to see how it works on the NP!

@bilbobrian - what file needed to be modded to change the home page url to Google? I'm assuming it's a smali file, but I'm not sure which.
Thanks in advance.[/QUOTE it's been a while since I did it, but I think it's in a strings. XML. Just search for HTTP in the files and it'll come up.
