This forum is for Android Wear which is for smart watches. So:
Step 1: Go to the correct forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/s6-edge-plus).
Step 2: Read the instructions or ask your question there.

Hi all,
I want to root my Samsung SIII and tried to look for information, but I am lost with so much thread to read and not sure which one is current.
Could someone please give me a direction where I should begin?
I have a Samsung SIII model SGH-T999 with Android version 4.1.1
Thanks,
Tri
Use the search button in the future.
The thread is sufficiently popular for it to appear in Google (since the in-forum search has been disabled).

1. Post questions in the Q&A section, otherwise the police will be here soon
2. Look at the stickies and especially at the FAQ thread in the Q&A section, anything described there.
wow. there's a link to the rooting guide on the main page of the i9300 forum.

You're posting in the wrong forum section. This is for the Galaxy S, not the S II.
You can find the Galaxy S II forum here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2
What version/model do you have. Is it an i9100. Check on back of the phone under the battery

There are several s2 phones, and before we begin dispensing advice, it would be helpful to know which s2 you have.
The best way to find out is in system settings: about phone: model number.
If you remove the battery, the model number can be found there as well.
In this page you can find a good way for root your s2 It worked for me.

Hi there,
as I'm totally noob on Samsung and I don't know really nothing about their devices - my brother in law gave me his business S3 (GT-I9300) for his vacation with the order to get him the current rom flashed.
Now, as I'm a HTC fanboy this is really pain as I'm currently trying to figure out what is needed to flash a custom rom.
I know an HTC needs to be unlocked/ s-offed/ rooted - but what about a Samsung?
Heard somewhen some words like Kies and Odin and am trying now a noob proof tool named SkipSoft Toolkit
I really lost overview here because all specific Samsung relevant words and explanations are like Alien language to me....
If someone could just point me to the steps I'd follow like
1. Unlock with ____link____
2. Root with
3. Recovery
4. other steps
I'd really appreciate your help!!
an HTC fanboy

Thanks, if you made the mistake of flashing the OP file on BVGB, your device won't boot, but you should be able to extract the up_param.bin from the original BL file, wrap it in a .tar file and flash it with odin without losing any data.
only remove yellow/red warring text but not 5 minutes delay, How to remove delay time to boot?
Is there a way to mount the system partition

I want to root my Tab s7, I have a Windows PC, connection cables etc. I looked for the tab s7 files that are required by Odin for rooting, but I couldn't find them. Can someone please tell me how to find it or give me a link to the file? I know it's hard to understand because of my bad English, but please help me.
Please note that XDA has many manufacturer and device specific subforums, in which you will likely find the information you need. As a courtesy, here is the link to the Galaxy Tab S7 Guides, News, and Discussion subforum.
Remember, please search before posting, as your question has likely been answered.
1. Your English seems great dude
2. Here is the forum for your device: https://forum.xda-developers.com/c/samsung-galaxy-tab-s7-s7-plus.11247/
3. I'm not too familiar with rooting via odin, so here's twrp for your device. Can't find any odin rooting files on xda. https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...r-galaxy-tab-s7-s7-series-snapdragon.4311747/
Make sure to confirm that your model matches whatever you try to flash. Rooting with TWRP is easy and seamless. Perform at your own risk though.
