In desperate need of debrick.img for OF1 bootloader. - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

I'm working on a Verizon S4 for a friend for Christmas. The phone is rooted on the OF1 bootloader. I misread a step while flashing a ROM and accidentally flashed the OC1 firmware. OF1 and OC1 looked the same at the time, so I didn't catch my mistake till it wouldn't boot. I can't get into download mode or recovery. I don't have enough time before Christmas to send it out for JTAG. If someone rooted on the OF1 bootloader could make a debrick.img for me, then upload it somewhere, I'd really appreciate it. Using ADB or terminal, run the commands:
Su
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/debrick.img bs=1024 count=131072
Any help would be much appreciated.

Would @muniz_ri happen to have access to one for the OF1 bootloader?

SD Card unbrick no longer works as of Firmware NK1. Meaning it doesnt work on OF1. Sorry. Your only option is a send away JTAG repair.

- Add OC1_firmware.zip If you coming from 4.4.2 or Below (its obvious that i dont needed to flash that)
that day i was like a zombie, without thinking i just flashed that thing, was so sleepy, maybe i check wrong boxes inside FF.

Trying to get Unlocked bootloader

It's been 3 days I've been up and down the forums, was on CM11, dirty flashed over the nebulas, ran into a few problems decided to go back and make it a clean flash, got 4.1.1, couldn't find one CASUAL that worked, went to 4.1.2, same problem, Yes i tried other cables, other computers, no difference.
Then updated 4.3 boot looped all kinds of problems tried Nand Erase All, didn't work, one way or another root66 stopped working. nothing would flash, it would all fail or if it did say it worked it just boot looped,
I605VRUEMJ9_I605VZWEMJ9_I605VRUEMJ9_HOME.tar.md5
To work. So now I'm 4.3 Stock, with no root.
I want to get back to Nebulas,
I want to take this step by step because it's been a nightmare and I can't find any solutions to questions that have been asked before.
From what I research the next step is to flash:
sch-i605-16gb.pit file
+
KIES_HOME_I605VRAMC3_I605VZWAMC3_1098177_REV04_user_low_ship.tar.md5
But when I try I get sboot.bin fail. Got a tip somewhere to flash the just the PIT, this actually fixed it without needing to flash anything else.
Now I know I'm down grading so it's going to boot loop because nothing is compatible. Boot into recovery and do a wipe to fix that. I boot into the OS just to make sure I'm doing 4.1.2. Which it is. and enable usb debugging.
Now to root and bootloader.
I try the newest verison of CASUAL R991b-JenkinsBuild
I get Error Failed to confirm end of pit file transfer
Pit Upladoing Failed
ok, so I pull battery and reboot. Trying R515b because that's the one in the tutorial:
I get Pit upload successful
Error: Bootloader upload failed!
This corrupt the bootloader and it will fail the boot, taking a step back and reflashing the mc3 fixes this.
Then I try this tip "most times you will need to delete and uninstall the Samsung Mobile usb from your Computer's device manager while ur device is connected already in download mode. i failed several times to execute casual successfully until i did this and it worked like charm!"
That didn't do anything, Tried verision 535 same results.
Said screw that I'll just flash some Root and recovery. But it always fails to flash recovery.img or if i put in the PIT and say repartition it will fail after the NAND Write Start. I've tried
openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.1-t0ltevzw.img
CF-Auto-Root-t0ltevzw-t0ltevzw-schi605.tar.md5
philz_touch_6.07.9-i605.tar.md5
and none work.
Any idea what I should do at this point? Everything fails the only thing I can do is flash 4.1.2 and 4.3 reliable.
In the middle there you say at one point you were stock 4.3. If that is correct you are done. Currently you can not unlock 4.3. You can only root with Kingo.

There is no unlock method on any 4.3 Samsung device that I'm aware of.

You are unable to flash a recovery because your bootloader is locked, from when you flashed 4.3. That was game over. How you got part way back to 4.1.2 I don't know, but be careful. I would flash back to 4.3, root it and hope someone unlocks the bootloader for 4.3

Was able to downgrade mi1 to mdk via odin

I don't know if this is new but what happened was that I bought my Verizon s4 with build mi1.
I went full on noob rooted it and tried to flash twrp with goo manager. I soft bricked my phone I think as I was unable to boot and got the download screen with some red text saying it was unable to boot (don't remember the exact error).
So afterwards I searched for a stock firmware to reflash via Odin and I chose the mdk stock tar. I rebooted into download mode and got it to work. I'm now rooted on mdk with cwm recovery installed via loki method.
However when I install aosp roms I'm unable to receive and end calls. Just throwing the information out there, maybe it provides some insight or something. I'm now back on stock mdk with no issues.

MANY others have tried, and have checked the code that checks the qfuses... So you are either mistaken, lying, or your phone is some amazing anomaly...
Nothing other then odin and a stock image? have a link to where you downloaded the image from?

I'm not lying. It was ODIN/download mode with the green android logo with some red text saying the phone was unable to boot. I tried to flash the mdk tar in that state and it failed so I rebooted into download mode holding down the 3 buttons and it was flashed successfully.
I used this stock image - http://downloadandroidfiles.org/download-sch-i545_mdk_562219_stock_restore-zip/

Would be my second guess. I have seen people think their phone was downgraded after flashing an MDK radio.
Could this be the opposite, where the phone already had custom recovery I could see it having a stock Mi1 rom and showing Mi1 in the about phone while its still MDK base.
I'd love for this to be true, and don't mean to offend the OP... but this has been tried a ton of times and does not work, and its just so much more likely there is some confusion here rather then his phone simply not checking qfuses... Well, hopefully someone smarter than me will pick this apart tonight.

yea it was slightly used. When I checked it out it had the mi1 firmware and I think someone tried to root it because it had terminal emulator and superuser installed. I ran root checker and it did not have root access so it was a failed attempt.
I factory reset everything at that point though then that's where my story began. Rooted, rom manager > goo manager > soft brick (odin/download mode) > flashed mdk stock > root > loki bypass bootloader for cwm > aosp rom issues with receiving and ending calls > stock with custom recovery
When I downloaded rom manager, I didn't know at the time that mi1 firmware was unable to get a custom recovery installed.

It was previously a vrudmi1 bootloader. I don't think that's a dev unit. If it was a dev unit wouldn't I have been able to install the custom recovery successfully before right after rooting? Blah I guess it was a stroke of luck somewhere.

No, it was previously a MI1 build That's not the same as a MI1 bootloader.
You can have a MDK phone running a MK2 ROM. The build will show MK2 even though it's an older bootloader.

Open terminal post the output of the following commands:

And since this has already caught surge's attention... He may be able to verify that flashing MDK modem +hlos bin may fix your aosp issues...

[Q] Questions on Rooting GS4

Hey guys, I've recently come across a VZW GS4 and I'm stuck on rooting. I know nothing about Samsung phones so this is pretty new to me. I tried towelroot and it was not sucessfull even after entering the different codes. The picture below is of the "About phone" section in settings. If you could just point me in the direction of a thread that would help me or let me know what do you, I'd really appreciate it.

How do I flash in ODIN? Just the same place as the NC5, under AP?
EDIT: Okay so not in ODIN. Like I said, I know nothing about Samsung devices. Seeing as how it is a .zip file I assume I need to flash it in a recovery on the phone. I jumped to conclusions with the wifi fix so I am now going to actually look up the proper way to apply it.

Is safestrap just the stock recovery or is it a custom like TWRP or CWM? And another thing, whenever flash an old firmware so I can root, it doesn't seem to actually change. I'm still at NK4 every time I change it. You know what I'm doing wrong? I've looked into a few different posts nothing is working. I've tried towelroot and Kingo.
And I suppose I should actually address your reply instead of just going on a tangent, I did and it put the phone in a bootloop and I have yet to address that. I just reflashed NK1 deal with it for the moment.

That is the thread I've been looking at most actually. But I just can't catch a break. Every time I try to download the files I want, my G3 fails instantly and my friends Wi-Fi just won't download at all. I think I now know an even better reason to why I've never bothered getting a Samsung haha.

Hard Bricked GS S4... Nooo!

I was trying to flash the OC1 deodexed rom using flashfire everything was going fine it was flashing then it said it was going to reboot and as in the instructions I waited for 30 min to boot up and nothing but a black screen so I fell Asleep woke up and still nothing so I took out the battery and tried to turn the phone on and nothing.... No power, no usb connection sound, no recovery, no download mode , nothing works Ive been looking all day for a fix... NOTHING all I can do is a JTAG but damn Im broke right now... and a USBJIG but damn it I really need my phone working! USJIB there is no guarantee that it would work its a 50/50 I guess... Any Ideas on how to unbrick using a SD card like on a GS3 post I found using that method?

Which ROM did you flash, link?
You will need an OC1 debrick.img in order to recover. Someone on here that is rooted and on the OC1 bootloader will need to create the .img with the following ADB or terminal command and send to you:
Su
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/debrick.img bs=1024 count=131072
You will then need the Win32 Disk Image tool to burn it onto your extsd card. Your device will boot from the OC1 BL on your extsdcard at which point you can go into download mode and Odin flash the OC1 .tar.
Ahhh, so that is how a debrick works.
Perhaps @dgutierrez04 would be willing to help? He is the first one who comes to my mind that has OC1.

Even though I closed my XDA thread they were linking to my AFH account. I just deleted the files so their links are now dead.
I'm sure someone will step up and come through with the files, it takes just a couple minutes to create the .img.

Thanks to @dgutierrez04 He provided me the debrick.img but I was not able to get my phone to boot up at all... I tried many times I re wrote the .img to the sd card followed all the steps, the batter is 100 percent charged I used my friends sprint gs s4 and no luck, I just ordered 3 different USBJIG'S hope fully one of them will be able to get it into boot mode, but not even sure if that would work since it wont even power on... Thanks Anyways bro, I appreciate the help Thats why I love the XDA FAM, God bless... :good:

Hey I need OC1 Debrick file can u upload it again

Hard bricked sch-I545. Please help

Well I'm stuck with a black screen.....nothing. I know I can send it in for jtag but this is my daily driver so I'm hesitant and need it running soon. I was running stang5litre's oc1 rom and tried to flash gigilies port of albe96's super6 v1.87 ROM. I followed instructions to the T. I wiped then installed through flashfire. That could have been the problem but it was supposedly tested with it so idk. Any way I could fix with an sdcard or something? Thanks in advance!!!
Can you get into download mode?
Hold down the volume down, Home key, and Press and Release power

No sir completely hard bricked.

No sir won't do anything.
Although when I plug it in it says searching for drivers for qhusb_dload. But after awhile it says that this device has malfunctioned.
turn it off again, hold Vol- and power.... (release power when screen light up) still nothing?
No sir but I meant when I plug it into the computer the computer says that.
That's really not good at all. I think JTAG repair is the only hope.

OK thankyou. I was afraid that was what I was gonna have to do. But I still have hope for some kind of sdcard repair. Lol
hard bricked I545 also!
Looking to see if theres a SD Card method before I have to look into getting it JTagged. I dont know anything of how or what firmware it has but its a friends phone and he doesnt even know how it hardbricked. I've been trying to read before I posted anything so this is where im at as I am a newb lol.
I have win32diskimager. I need a debrick img for sch-I545. I also have a 32gb class 10 microsd card.
I'm guessing I get the img, write it to the sd using win32disk. put it in phone, then try to power on correct?
I got a debrick img somewhere on xda, but it was labeled backup.bin, and I didnt really know how to convert it to .img correctly nor do i know how to check if its been written properly?
Any help would be awesome! thank you

First off if your friend didn't do any type of modding or flashing then the problem could be that the power button is stuck in the open position and you may need to get that replaced.
But if it hardbricked during a flash or something of that sort then The sdcard has to be the same amount as phone storage. So if you have the 32gb then in theory that would work. But if you have 16gb phone you would need a 16gb sdcard. I haven't had any luck but I don't have a class 10 sdc so that's probably the problem. Also from the videos ive watched on youtube (so i could be wrong) you don't need to change the file to img just click on the bottom right corner when you are searching for the file press where it say ".img" ".IMG" and change it to "." Then you will be able to find the backup.bin file. Then me know if this helps and or if it worked then I may have to buy myself a class 10 sdc. Thanks

Ya he works for verizon so im guessing he did or tried to flash something. He said it was hardbricked but didnt say how or what he did. I was able to write to the card changing IMG to . allowing me to choose the bin file. The phone didn't boot up or anything, could be wrong debrick img? wish I had different ones to try. This looks like it could be leaning to a JTAG repair, but I still have hope with the SD method.
I have the debrick image for gs4 oc1 I made it from another gs4 thru terminal if you would like me to upload.

i have vwz GS4 i try to unlock boot loader using EZ-unlocker that hard brick my device .neeed help to brind it back to life kindly upload debrick img and procedure
Same exact problem happened to me. All the way down to flashing the same ROM. I believe my battery popped out while flashing with FF, once I put it back in my phone wouldn't turn on. I'm in a bit of a panic over here :/
Unlocked to bricked
You can not unlock the boot loader there is no method yet to do so. I wonder if some of you have drained you battery & that's why it won't boot up to at least down loading screen. Try plugging it in to a charger for 1/2 hour or so then try.
If you can get to down loading screen you can hook id to computer & load the stock firmware with Odin.

funny i just did the opposite I bricked flashing stang's new 2.0 on my OC1 OTA phone (got it for cheap after the update) just had rooted it and flashed my gDux to it no problems then flashed stang's and bam. the issue resides in the fact that when I made the OP for Super6 it was based on my downgrading to 4.42 Kernel then using Safestrap. Which a kernel flash has to have the -orig tag at the end of the block in order to flash over the stock kernel. This means that if your on OC1 and you flash a ROM you must not flash a kernel and if you do on accident you need to pull the battery before the install finishes and if thats not possible hold the vol down button in hopes of getting to download mode before trying to boot the phone or it will brick. so if your going to try and flash Stang 2.0 don't use his FF instructions the only time you need to flash a kernel in FF is if your upgrading with mdk, or Safestrap is installed on the phone. otherwise make sure the block for the kernel doesnt have the -orig because that wont work obviously. sucks Im usually more careful when flashing other's releases. if someone has the OTA installed and bootloaders at 5.0 an SD .img for debricking would be useful could someone please zip a result of this command from terminal in the Stock ROM:
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/debrick.img bs=1048576 count=128
if you zip the .img you'll save a lot of bandwidth. I'd like to try and attempt to revive via sdcard (doubt its possible I didnt have luck with NK and an SD) but if nothing else theres been some improvements the qhs_usb department it might be possible to force write the debrick.img I'll do some investigating but if anyones already fixed this issue please let me know
