Want to root my S3, I am completely lost. Please help! - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, first of all I apologize if this kind of thread is against the rules.
I just made my account here and I want to learn more about rooting, custom firmwares and stuff. I was interested in formatting my phone, and install Android Lollipop (newest version, which is 5.1.1 I think), but searching through the threads in this forum is leaving me confused. Could anyone please point me to the best tutorials on how to root my S3, and how to install Android Lollipop 5.1.1?
Again, I apologize for my noobish brain. I literally just entered into the world of phone rooting xD
Thank you for your time.

Information on Rooting

Hey
Is there any where you can recommend a full explanation of rooting android devices and also installing custom roms to the device?
I do not know anything about this, but have been told that installing custom rom’s is a way to go, when using an android device.
and I have also been recommended the CyanogenMod way of rooting.
I would like a comprehensive explanation and maybe also tutorials for this, for a complete newbie like myself!
Thanks
---------
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2, running ICS
The roll-up sticky in the I9100 General section contains links to everything you are looking for.
there are quite a few links in that thread, can you please guide me as to where to start, i am a complete beginner in this field!
In that post, you should be looking for anything to do with rooting. Only 2-3 have rooting in the title, so they would be appropriate places to start.
Here is a thread that you can start from, my advice is just to keep reading as much as possible.
Also most kernels/thread have instructions in the OP.

No intention to immediatly burn you down when you're new here, but since you are new you should read the forum rules and the stickies first. Everything you ask is already explained hundreds of times, so don't start thinking about rooting yet if you don't know what you're doing.
As said above, first start reading and learning. It's the best way.

Welcome to forum!
You don't need to search so much to find how to root your device.. Well, i'll recommend you cyanogen mod, it's a very famous rom i've got installed and i love it. It works very well, it's JB, increases A LOT battery life.. and automatically adds rooot to your phone. http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/index.php?title=Install_CM_for_i9100
You should read guides and stuff, for learning more for your device. In the top of this web, there is a text box to search posts, threads.. If you type in "Custom ROM" you will find a lot of useful information, do the same with all that words you don't understand.
In the bottom of every post, there is a button called "Thanks", if this post was useful to you, click it (just information ). You should do it with every post useful to you, but there is a limit. You should read this post for learning the rules and other forum stuff: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1699450
EDIT: I forgot, please read about root, don't root the phone without knowing what is it. Check en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android_rooting

1) the brick bug is only there on stock 4.0.4 firmware kernel for u so on JB ur safe for now
2) u can root ur phone without installing a custom firmware for sure
3) of course rooting will always have an elemantary risk for sure, but u have to see to it that, why do i require a root in the first place
No (Ask a ridiculous question, get a ridiculous answer).
You really need to learn 'the basics' before you do anything to your phone or you will break it. Read the threads stickied at the top of Q&A, and also read the threads linked in the Stickies thread third post from the top in General.
The questions you've asked have been asked/answered here thousands of times over the past two years, and the answers are in those threads. If anyone serves you up simple answers without you understanding what you're doing, you're going to end up with an expensive plastic paperweight like countless people before you.
Thanks for your answers.

But MistahBungle , i wasn't planning to root my phone right now. And i know i am not ready yet. Those are questions that popped into my mind when i began to read some documentation on rooting and custom firmwares yesterday and i didn't find any answers to those. Sorry if i bothered you.
Anyway thanks again for your help.

NEWBIE - NOT TECH SAVVY any suggestions on removing Metro Bloatware from LG Aristo 2?

Hi all,
Thank you for taking time to read my post. I am new to this world of cellphonespeak. Maybe this is a simple question with an easy answer. I just obtained an LG Aristo 2. I am trying to know how to remove all of the bloatware that MetroPCS has installed with the phone> Im not with Metro, I use an independent network, but I don't need the unnecessary apps on the phone. I have read through various suggestions but they have not worked up to now. Its running on an Android 7.1.2, if that is helpful. Also if I am posting in the wrong forum, please forgive my ignorance.
I appreciate any advice or suggestions.
Deepest Gratitude,

Root your phone with Magisk, then install Titanium Backup.
You can uninstall bloatware using Titanium Backup.

I have a perfect suggestion. If you've found out already how to Root your phone and you've installed TWRP then download and install these two links below.
