Does anyone know where I can find detailed instructions on the camera flash modes? I assume the "A" is for automatic and the "R" is for rear flash. I would like to find details on how these should be used.

Here's another screenshot
R is for rear curtain sync.
It delays the flash to fire after the shutter has be open. This helps create motion effects on photos with motion.

When I take a picture with the phone I don't have the share option "Messaging" in the dropdown list to be able to directly message the picture. Is this feature missing from the S3? I seem to have to go into the messaging application and attach it from there. This is a feature that is available on all other samsung phones.
Does anyone else have this problem?
This option is present. When you take picture from stock camera app, the picture goes down in a small box below the camera shutter button. Click on that box and pic will open. Of course, everyone wants to take a look before sending a picture. So when picture is open, just press the sharing button at the top and you'll have list of available apps including Messaging.

They had on there and tried it and no "Messaging " option staight from camera!! This is a feature I use a lot and can't beleive it's not a standard feature! I'm on ICS LF2 rom.

Well, the option is there as you can see. It must be that your ROM doesn't support that and its quite weird. You may try different rom or update to JB to solve this issue.

I think you're right about the ROM. Mine is Austalian and this seems to be one of it's restriction. Thank you for your help. I might look into flashing.
Hi,
I don't find any option in Camera Settings to get print along (on any corner of Image) the date and time of images taken using camera.
Can Anyone suggest the way to have this...?
Thanks in advance!.

Hello!
I have a quick question for you guys. Is there a way to set the front camera to save mirrored pictures instead of flipping them upon saving? I had that feature in the options of my old SGS2, seems to be missing on Z2...
Best regards.

Update- Upon further investigation I found a newer version on XDA. I am attaching a flashable zip in the post. Thanks to this guy - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=52153586&postcount=306
IMP - By default the app takes pictures in 5MP resolution. If you want to take pictures in 8MP resolution, just disable 16:9 mode in settings.
Just like all other Xperia SP users, I was completely dissappointed with the phone's horrible camera. Upon further investigation I realised that the issue was due to the unpolished and half-baked stock camera app and therefore some users posted Xperia M's camera app which performed better.
After some little searching on the internet, I found Moto X's camera apk.
The app does wonders on our device and performs better than Stock camera or google camera app, especially in terms of auto-focus department.
So, I suggest everyone to try it out. I am attaching the apk to the post.
Works on stock as well as custom ROMS.
NOTE - Produces great results while taking pictures of 'texts and documents' where stock app fails terribly.
Bugs - Not all features are working (eg HDR mode). But the app does a pretty decent job.
Work's also with Stock Roms.

Yes. The zip doesn't remove your stock gallery. You can delete motorola gallery using root explorer.

Press the ladybug icon at the bottom after sliding out the menu by swiping towards right. It is only available in the zipped version I guess. I am trying to get the new material camera app to work, I'll update if I am successfull.

I downloaded the file directly using tapatalk, could that be the problem?

I guess you used the apk. The apk and zip versions are different. Its been a while since I changed any roms so I don't remember whether I flashed some other app to enable extra settings. I have 2-3 different versions lying on my laptop. Try the flashable zip version and see if the ladybug icon appears.
Edit - If the ladybug icon doesn't appear in the zip version, try this one - http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/general/how-to-unlock-advanced-camera-settings-t2884035
I had used this version too.

Hey there,
Can someone port the Scrolling Screen Capture feature over from the N5 to the N4?
also is it possible to Port the Double Tap to open the Camera while Screen is off/with a secure Lockscreen from the N5/S6 to the N4? I don't want to use Home2 Button.
Greetings,
Kivikaki:
Double tap can easy be set by download xposed and gravitybox and under the hardware buttons you can set the home button to open camera app by double tap

Thank you. The current apps that do this aren't so comfortable, and they have issues. If you wish, here are those apps that I've found:

It's more for my mom, and this one takes quite a lot of steps.
It is nice though, as you can stitch from any app.
So, thank you.
Latest Version of Kyubi already have this scrolling capture ported.

Hello All! I currently own an LG V20 and am getting the Pixel XL in February (allegedly). One feature I will need a proper replacement for is the Capture+ app. If you have never used it, It was much like the Note 5/7 in that you can get screenshots of only pertinent parts of the screen.
Being a system app it cannot be downloaded , but I cannot find any apps that do something similar. Does anyone know of any apps that do this? Any other suggestions for quickly getting partial screenshots?

I too wanna port of an app called "Smart Select"【https://youtu.be/OWcAeMXUuS4】 in Samsung S8 which can capture a small rectangular portion, capture in different shapes (predefined or using lasso tool), LONG CAPTURE and a GIF CAPTURE with various pro editing options.
If someone finds any app with all the above features, please reply!!!

And whats that??
The scrolling capture is available by just update your Smart select apk. I'm using 2.0.53 version and it works pretty well. It also will add the gif capture feature. And if you want to scroll capture without taking out s pen to capture with Screen Write, just enable the setting in Display>Enable Edit After Capture. If the option not available, just edit in system/etc/floating_feature and find line with Edit After Capture and change the word FALSE to TRUE
Note: You need to update the Smart select first.
