In OnePlus X's menu there is no option to set a button to open and close the menu - if you have changed the default setting.
I've searched on Google, and people say it's a bug and you have to enable on screen buttons and disable them, then you can choose the setting, but it is still not there.
Are there any fixes yet?
Additional question: My OnePlus X is rooted and when I try to update (OTA), it fails. How do I update?

I don't remember even seeing such an option, or maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're talking about. Can you pin-point the exact screen you're talking about?

You have to either flash the OTA file separately in TWRP, or flash the full stock (updated) zip in TWRP.

When you get the phone, you can press the button once to open the menu in apps. If you go to settings and change that button's function to anything, it will not be able to open the menu again, since it is not listed as an option.

Its not terribly common, but there have been some cases where upon installing froyo and updating the camera, the firmware flash has messed up and broken the camera. Make no mistake, this is not a software issue. Its a camera firmware issue and the only way to fix it is to reflash the firmware.
Now, the camera software offers once. After that, if it fails, it isn't going to prompt again.
To get around this:
1. Download Launcher Pro from the market. Any cut and ADW will likely work too.
2. make a new shortcut, to an activity.
3. Scroll to Camera Firmware, and choose the second option (user)
4. Click ok. There is now a shortcut on your homescreen. Choose the third option, Phone to CAM FW Write. Put your phone down and do not touch it until it is done.
Hope this helps.

Oh my godddd, doing this now. When I flashed Deodexed Stock EB01, my camera got alllll f*cked up.
**EDIT** - I did this and replaced Camera.apk with THIS and now I have everything working.
Just going to throw out there that ADW has the shortcut capability too.

This happened to a friend of mine! Verizon updated the phone automatically and she never saw any prompts. The phone just updated. And the camera failed afterwards, going into "please wait" loop. I know nothing about Android. I'm trying to find a solution for her that does not involve flashing anything, including going backwards where her rom is concerned. Verizon's two solutions leave much to be desired from what she tells me Verizon explained to her. So, she's decided no camera is the only suitable option in hopes another workable alternative arises. Okay... that all said:
What is this "ADW" thing you refer to? How to get it? She does have Launcher Pro. Please excuse my ignorance. Like I said, I have no idea what Android entails. I'm still a Windows baby (winmobile 6.5). Would you be so kind as to provied for me very detailed instructions and maybe some images so I can help her get her camera working again without having to mod her rom or do anything that could actually cause additional problems? Thank you.

ADW is just another launcher, similar to launcherpro. If you have LP you don't need ADW.

My phone has 2.2.1 on it. I get camera fail when I run the camera app. I tried this post to update the fw many times and I get "fw update fail try again" at 8% everytime. I also tried swapping the camera assy from a known working camera from another phone, same results. Any ideas? Phone is mint never wet.
I guess this camera is done on this phone
I have a T-mobile G2 Touch(HTC Hero). I've recently started using it again and it seems like it needs a firmware update. Many cool apps like WhatsApp require firmware 2.1 and above.
I was never sent an OTA update and its too late to complain about that. I've seen posts dating back to 2010 talking about upgrading from 1.5 to 2.1 and they are confusing to say the least.
How hard can it be 2 years on?
Why hasn't HTC made firmware updates fool proof by now?
Can someone please assist me in figuring this out.
I can't believe upgrading a phone's firmware can take so much outta someone.
Help!!!!
First try to go to Settings -> About Phone (don't know what it's called, but it is the buttom one) -> If there is anything mentioning Software-update or alike you should go there and search for an update.
If not you should connect to WiFi and try to change the time a month or so forward. Then it should pop up with a update-notification and you can press download. That's at least how it works for me (WWE)
I've tried this, there isn't a software update or any option to search for updates.
It must be in "About" of Settings. Are you sure you've checked out all the options?
Does your carrier have a support page that links the update file? It should be a stand alone exe file that runs and takes care of the update.

Scroll down the screen, and then tap About phone > System software updates.
On the System software updates screen, tap Check now.

I think maybe you should wait and try as mljjlm suggested to you, changing the date. You can try to setting date as 07/30/2010 or 07/30/2011 and waith some hours for OTA...
A while back when 2.1 came out, the update never came OTA even when I forced to check for updates, but I fixed that by changing my clock from 2010 I think to 2011 , restarted the phone and I was able to update to 2.1 and after that I changed the clock back to 2010. You can try to set your clock to 2013 and then the update will come
i had the same problem before i rooted. the only way i could trigger the update check was for me to do a factory reset on the phone. or you could just root it!

Can you get into custom recovery and mount usb drive to pc? because if you can then you can flash this: Stock 2.1
Caution! This Will Erase All Data (Not SD Card) AND REMOVES ROOT + CUSTOM RECOVERY
If you choose to flash this then you will need to re-root and re-flash custom recovery to flash a new rom

I've found information for some of the other Movado models, but not the Ticwatch Pro. Does anybody have information, or know where to find something?

From the first page of that thread there's the TWRP. Download it and flash it after unlocking the bootloader. After setting up the watch you root like on a phone, so you adb push the latest magisk zip to flash with the recovery and you adb install the manager apk. Then swipe from the left, open the settings and set it to allow always. Then you'll find out that you broke OTAs ?
Awesome, thanks! I'll give it a try.

Been trying for half hour to access bloody settings - cant do it. tapping left top corner - nothing. if i swipe from the left i go back to watch's apps. zoomed in on home button and tapped - nothing. Any help?
I turned this feature on, but I cannot find where to switch it back off again. I think there's a serious glitch. There used to be a button on the quick add but that's gone. Anyone mind trying from their device?

? What is "assistive ball"
No such setting
Under convenience tools. Do you not have it? It must be on C10 and not available on C11. I suspect I enabled it and the latest update rolled it back perhaps. I was forced to do a system settings reset on my device to kill it.
I have the latest ColorOS 6 package, if I attempted to run it in recovery would I end up bricked? We're talking Android 10 - 9. I have a feeling things aren't meant to work like that.

No such thing in my phone. Sorry.
AFAIK you won't be able to go back to back to 9. Oppo have locked the bootloader to prevent regressive updates. Recovery will just fail. You won't brick anything though.
You could try recovery update via WiFi? Doubt it will work, as it links to the last thing on your country's website which is likely to be an outdated COS6. With a shot just in case.
Let me know
