Dear friends !!!
I have a
Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100G
Baseband version: I9100GXXKL4
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7
[email protected] #2
Build number: GINGERBREAD.XXLB1
so I created a folder on /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/
Then pasted SuperROM_v3.0 folder into backup, so far so good.....
Now CWM factory reset, wipe cache, all good till now.
Now when I want to select the clockworckmod folder, It kinda flashes up but it want go inside, at the butom it says No files found
So I thought ok Lets try SuperROM v 1.0 first, but by downloading its 2 parts (001 and 002) and the zip file lokks kinda broken, can see the files but not able to extract the from the rar (zip)
As last night I updated my girlfriends to the android 4.0.3 on her I9100, I love to get the look of it with the superRom V3.1 hopefully.....
So to all you I9100G MASTERS please help !!!!!
hey DonSkazi
did you copy superom 3.0 in /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/ from cwm directly because it wont detect unless you reboot the recovery or did you make a folder sdcard then in it clockworkmod then backup and then you copied the superrom v3.0.
Hey darkshadow1997 !!!!
Thank for your fast reply !!!! Yeaaaah what I did was actualy unzipt it on to my desktop, then moved it via USB Cable to download, and then with Root Manager I moved it over to the string: /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup (clockworkmod and bakup i had to creat by myself.
Could you please write me down the exact steps. so I can give it a try....
Hope we can get it 2 work !!!!!
Talk 2 U later!!!
Thanks so far!!!
sorry for a late replay but you dont need root manager for this. All you have to do is make a folder clockworkmod in your internal sd then in it backup then you copy superrom v3.see attachment on how it should look like. last thing you just need your computer no android app for this and the clockworkmod should be copied to internal sd not external sd(micro sd). not sure if it the same in all i9100g phones but the internal sd should be 11gb or 10.9gb.Good luck. And if you need help in porting themes then send me a message i can help you out.and if you did not understand anything tell me on which part then i will try and explain once i get back from school today but right now i need some sleep for school.

i dont think u need to unzip the files. just leave it as zipped in your folder and use cwm to flash it
Hey darkshadow1997 !!!!
I send you a private MSG, maybe we can have a chat later on dear friend
Regards 2 you !!!!!!
Hey my friends !!!!
Happy Face Modus on........xxxxxxxxxxxD
Finaly I got the SuperROM v3.0 and the v.3.1 on my I9100G
The I found a ICE THeme in blue on
But after Updating it my 14 toggle mod was gone away Is there a way to use that ICE theme withe the SuperROM v3.1 ?!
As well at start up I have the Samsung Galaxy S 2 GT-I9100G screen + the yellow triangle, I would love to get rid of both, so how can I put a custom one at start up??!!
Plus, I put a bootanimation.zip (containing part0, part1 and desc.txt) in Superatmos, but still by rebooting device the samsung bootanimation is showing up.....very SAD !!!!
I know that there is a file in system/media that is in charge of the samsung boot animation........
I am sorry, its many questions, but I realy would like my I9100G be pimped as hell.......lol.....xxxxxxxxxxxxxxD
hey DonSkazi
you have very easy problems to fix
Yellow Triangle:heres a short way to remove it
1.get ktool from google play (its free)
2.get any stock kernel,here is one of kl3 link:http://www.mediafire.com/?ss1n1u1zzdlht5c
3.open ktool and select dump current kernel then select reboot to download mode
4.with odin select the stock kernel and flash
5.the yellow triangle is gone so is cwm
6.to get cwm back, open ktool and select flash kernel from /sdcard/zImage and reboot
7.And you are done with no more yellow triangle and will have cwm back.
Bootanimation:if the copy bootanimation to superatmos folder didnt work it could be kernel issue since superrom 3.0 have its own built in kernel so just copy bootanimation.zip in system/media and reboot.
ICS Theme:well as for this one i am not sure if my answer will be correct since i am using my own ported theme but what version did you download was 3.0 or 3.1
because if you flashed ics theme 3.0 on superom 3.1 then you will lose 14 toggle. if you did a backup in cwm then you can restore the backup and flash the correct theme.but if you did no backup then you have to start from the beginning.there is a reason if you flash a theme upon a theme then there will be some parts left of an old theme.when it says ics theme 3.1 it means the theme is based on superrom 3.1 and will only work for superrom 3.1 so check the version before downloading and flashing.
Hello Hello
Ok i tryed to install the v3.1 again, but that ICS Theme is still on, I did wipe data/factory restet and wipe cach partion, but no way to get the 14 toggle back.... I think I will get CRAZY!!!!!!
hey DonSkazi
sorry for an extremely late replay,i was on diner with my family and friends. when i said to start over i mean flash back to stock.heres what you have to do
1.get any stock rom for i9100g.if you get the wrong firmware you will hardbrick your device.so make sure that its for i9100G
2.now go to cwm then go to mounts and storage now format data,cache and last system.this is to remove traces of custom rom.
3.open odin and select pda then browse for your firmware
4.select start and wait till its done.
you will have a un-rooted stock rom.so just flash a custom kernel you will get the yellow triangle at boot you can remove by following my last post.since you already know how to restore superromv3.0 there's no need to explain that.now remember two
1.if you were to modify the custom rom lets say theme it in this case always make a backup in cause if you mess up
2.you can get any stock rom it wont affect the performance in anyway i was using a old stock firmware when i restored superromv3.0 i was on dzkj2.
I tried to install a custom rom yesterday. Unluckily I treid to do it quickly before leaving the house. I rooted my tab, then copied the custom rom file and the Gapps file to my internal storage card and also installed a newer CWM version. At some point I must have formated my entire Date because there are no files left on my internal storage card. The tab goes up to the Samsung Logo and that's it. I'm guessing that there is no OS installed on the device. (Galaxy Tab 10.1n 3G - GT-P7501)
Now to my questions:
How can I copy the ROM File to the internal storage card using odin or any other programm? I can go into the download mode and I can start CWM.
Do I have to install anything else or should the Rom be enough?
I read somewhere, that I should copy the PIT File to my tab but I can't find the file anywhere!
After spending the last 4 hours looking for answers and a solution I hope that someone here can help.

You can't use odin to copy a file to your device and the mount sd-card option in CWM has never worked for me.
What you need to do is flash a stock odin file with its pit file and then you can reroot and reflash CWM.
Put the rom and gapps on your tab,
and hopefully then you can flash the rom everything will work correctly.
Here is a link to the odin tar file I use: https://www.dropbox.com/s/3mpm0lez9ikbzvf/Stock-3.2-HTJ85B.UEKMM.tar
You can find a tutorial for flashing this on XDA somewhere.
Thank you so much!!
It didn't work at first but after taking the tab out of the docking station and changing the usb port it finally flashed everything without hanging at the bin file. i will try to install a custom rom now.
thanks again!

No problem! I'm just glad it all worked out for you!
I am facing same problem but with TWRP recovery mode. I wiped out sdcard and all data. I am using P7500 tab. Can you help me through the process. All I can do it right now is go it recovery mode, nothing else.
well, just do what highriser posted, download odin, download a tar file that represents a Gtab ROM and flash it to your tab using download mode. As I am at work I can not provide you with links to the files (as online storage is blocked by our IT Security).
Check this thread and pay attention to the "UNROOTING & RESTORING STOCK RECOVERY" part.

First of all I've read some posts but haven't found what I need. I know you may read this kinda post all the time from unexperienced people but we are all learning. This is the deal, I was trying to flash Cyanogenmod 10.1 in my s3, I saved the rom file and the gapps file in my sd card. After I do all the whipping (data+cache+delviks cache) and go to find the zip files they are not in .zip format so de recovery mode doesn't recognize the files as such. So I just went back and tryed to reboot the phone again but it gets stucked in the Samsung Gt I9300 image. I know this may be really simple to fix but I'm a noob! Btw the phone does enter both, recovery and download mode. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
"after I did all the whipping" LOL
what do you mean, they're no in the zip format? did you unzip them?
sd card
push the file into ur sd card either throw recovery or by sd card reader and boot into recovery then chose the zip from ur sd card and install

My bad... English is not my first language,I'm still learning. I already solved the problem by restoring a previous nandroid backup. Everything is fine now. Thanks for taking the time to answer.

Thanks for your answer. The thing is that the files were not in the zip format and I couldn't flash them in the recovery mode. If I compress them into zip format would it work??

Flash a stock rom via Odin .
Basics for Noobs please read before flashing a brick .

First , you might try to wipe. if it does not work either, please use 2nas android flash tools
2nas.com
Provides :
1: Integrates Unbrick / Flash ROM / Root All-In-One.
2: Use the same protocol as ODIN, but 2nas is more user-friendly and easy-to-use.
3: Cloud based database to flash your android phone with correct files(ROM, etc)
4: Automatically download necessery files to flash, and check them with SHA1, it's safe for your phone.
5: Store all downloaded files in local disk, under a good directory structure, it's usefull when you have several phones.
I made the biggest stupidity. I deleted my rom, using twrp recovery. I deleted sd card as well, I wanted to do a new flash but now I'm stuck. I have lupus jb kernel installed on my lww. I know there is a way to transfer zip files via sideload and then installing them. But I'm using a Mac. What can I do? Don't tell me to use windows, i have it installed on a virtual machine but i can't use internet. So please, I read some guides but are to difficult I already downloaded Android SDK for mac but I can't get to run adb commands.
I need your help, how can I transfer my rom zip file to sd card using this twrp recovery?? I'm a noob when it comes to use adb and stuff so please help me.
PD. I also can't activate usb debugging, because I have nothing installed on my phone, except the lupus kernel.
Nevermind, I solved it. TWRP is AWESOME! Just entered recovery, mount usb and I was able to put the zip file in sd card.
AW: [HELP] I deleted my OS on my Live. How do I transfer zip file?
There should be adb (and the android sdk) for mac, too
You could have installed it and sideload the zip. But mounting it was well, too :good:

It's my first time customizing an android phone after rooting it, and I have to say, there's a lot to learn. Samsung devices are made to read qmg files when it comes to boot animations, but I'm already making my own boot animations, and I have a lot of questions I hope this post isn't that long.
================================
1- after installing CWM can I UNINSTALL it using odin? Or is there any other way to do it without my computer?
================================
2- I know that you can't UNflash files, so when I flash a zip file (specifically bootanimations4U) what files should I back up? I'd rather back up only the files that will be replaced? Or is there an app to back up files from a certain folder and just bring them back if I want to bring back the normal animations?
================================
3- let's say that my device is rooted, it has CWM installed, and also, has the . zip enabler flashed already and in use. I'm planning to FORMAT my phone in a couple of weeks because I want to use it as if it's rooted with the whole storage available (I don't have storage problems I just want to do that) but my question is...
==========
-Q3: if my goal is just to delete my data and apps only, can I just use the factory reset from the settings? Do I need to do anything regarding CWM or the zip file I've flashed? Will CWM be deleted? Will I have to flash that .zip reader enabler (bootanimations 4u) again? What do I need to do if I needed to reset my phone without any problems?
================================
4- is there a file size limit for the bootanimations.zip files on Samsung devices (galaxy s5 android 6.0) and also the audio file size limit?
================================
5- what is the condition in which I have to flash the bootanimation4U.samsungani.zip file and not the other one?
