I am experiencing some issues with my PLK-L01 device: from time to time, the phone take over control by itself ans opens random apps I have installed, or opens chat windows etc. Today, while i was browsing Instagram, it started to open and to hit the Like button on random photos on this platform!!
I only have this phone since Christmas and noticed this problem when it started to close the apps I was using. But now it's getting worse. I think a virus is out of the questions, since I only download apps from Google play store and only the popular ones..
Please advise!

have you tried to do a factory reset?
also, enable "show touches" in the developer settings. If the phone shows touches that you havent made, then the screen is faulty

I did not reset the phone, because I noticed the issue since the second day of the phone usage, so I guess a reset wouldn't quite fix this.
Could you expand on the "show touches" topic, please? Where exactly do I find those settings and if I enable it, will I risk losing the warranty or something?

Nothing happens to warranty
Click on the built number in about phone continually ...so developer option will be activated press back u will see it..in that menu u van activate it

I performed a search on here and find lots of posts about how to turn them on but nothing discussing the issue I'm having which is that they keep turning themselves back off. It's driving me insane!!!
I have a Touch Pro with Sprint. I go into settings and enable all notifications to display on the screen for new reminders, email, sms, etc. I've done both soft reset and no soft reset after enabling them and it doesn't seem to matter. After a few days the notifications checkmarks have seemed to uncheck themselves and the pop up notifications stop working. Then I have to go in a re-enable them all. I've gone through this about 10 times in the last two weeks and it's wearing on my last nerve.
Does anyone know what is causing this and more importantly know how to fix it once and for all? Is there something in the registry that keeps making it default back to no popup notifications that I need to change?

I have noticed 2 things with the new Sprint TP:
1. They work better after a hard reset. More stable and faster.
2. There are some programs I tried out that were written for the diamond (i.e. advance config). They have caused some unwanted side effects, like not keeping settings I had intended (i.e. hardware button tap sounds always turned themselves off etc.).
If you have any of those programs on your TP, one of those might be the culprit.
Either way, I would suggest a hard reset and then (if applicable) installing each program and seeing if it's messing things up.
As follow up, it appears that Advanced Config is the culprit. I uninstalled it, reset all of my notifications to display on screen and finally did a soft reset. Popup notifications are still working strong for almost a week now!

Hi, A bit of a Noob and I've broken it some how! I've changed a setting to do with owner info and the lock screen because when the screen locks I move the slider and it sticks in whichever direction and doesn't unlock phone. The button doesn't freeze at all though and occasionally I see "owner information" on the titlebar. The only way I can access home screen etc is by soft resetting, hitting start as soon as it appears and then flicking slider........ I did see a setting on here to display owner info on lock screen somewhere and I think this is what I've changed but I can't find it now. Please help...
This strang thing happend to me to today. For now i havent found the cause nor a sollution. For now I just pull the battery out and reboot it .. Then it works well for a few times but when i lay it to rest and try to unlock it... it wont work again.

Even after pulling battery mine is still the same. I'm sure it's my fault but I can't find the post on here which I read. I'm sure it was a tweak to show owner info on boot up and when flicking off screen lock and I thought, "lets see what that looks like" Wish I hadn't now! It looks like I'm going for a hard reset if I can't find a solution, unfortunately my next task was to put a backup package on it! D'oh!!!

I solved in this way: 1 reset the phone so you can access the settings of the phone, 2 unset "show personal info on start" flag (or something like this) now it should work. Please if someone knows how to show the personal info avoiding this bug let us know....

It worked!!! Thank you very much. I've made so many adjustments lately I just couldn't remember. I'm now gonna back it up!!
For future reference, if you get stuck at the lock screen but your phone does start up properly, you can use SOTI Pocket controller to change pretty much anything on your phone through USB.
happened to me too, heres a funny story.
i leave my phone on my desk thinking it was locked (i did press the hang up botton and the screen turned off) suddenly i can hear the tone as its calling someone, it rings 4-5 times untill i grab it and pull it out of the sleeve, it was the girl i went out with a day earlier, now she thinks im a psycho.

Ok the problem could be your Twitter.com setings if you use Twitter.
Thanks to Sir Sternas of Artemis ROMS, just found it out. After disabling Twitter the problem didnt occured anymore.
Now its just to find out if the webservice or the twitterclient causes the problem.
My Xperia Go has recently developed a strange issue that I'm trying to figure out how to fix.
Periodically the screen will not turn on. When pressing the power button nothing happens except the Home, Menu and Back buttons flash for a split second. It can stay like this for hours and then start working again. I have tried performing hard resets when the issue happens. The phone vibrates like you would expect, but the screen still stays off.
Has anyone else seen this issue and know if it is a software issue or hardware?

Happened to me more than once flashing all kind of strange ROMs and apps, and messing with my phone.
Backup your phone and do factory data reest and see if the problem persists.
It could be hardware related but more likely it's just software.

Had a go at this at the weekend. Did a full backup and a full restore using Sony PC Companion. The phone worked perfectly until last night then it displayed the same problem.
Possibly unrelated, but I did notice that after the restore none of the photo thumbnails are showing in the Album app even though the pics are there. You can tap in the empty space in the app and pics will load. Secondly, it restored my Outlook.com account, but not the entry for it under Accounts in the Settings menu. Consequently I can't cange any settings for that account. So I've managed to introduce another couple of issues for my trouble!
I'm leaning to this more being a hardware fault now, unless anyone else can suggest otherwise?

For album the temp solution: settings>apps>all>album>clear data
Try to reinstall outlook.com?

If flash fixed it, it can't be hardware. Any new apps/mods installed?
Restore only the assentials (contacts/call log) the rest set manually and see how it goes.
Take a logcat next time it happen maybe you'll see something there.
I have same problem on sola and reflashing roms really helped me toi, but only for 1 day. I guess it's digitizer issue.
Hi guys and gals. I'm new here but I have reading your posts and really enjoy the info. I,just bought the gear s. Upon going through the settings I tapped the accessibility bar. There's an option for reading alerts aloud. I hit that by accident. Now the phone will not scroll on the app menu. It goes halfway and stops. It's like frozen. So in order for me to do a reset I need to get to the bottom of the app screen but it will not scroll. So I did a rebooting reset with the power button and returned it to factory but as soon as I choose the reading option it still does the same thing. Has anyone encountered this. I love the watch but even though I may not use that accessibility feature I am afraid that I may encounter other issues down the road. Thanks in advance for any insight.

No problem I appreciate the response. I picked up a new one from verizon. I went to best buy and the display gear s did the same thing. So maybe it just needs a update.

yesterday i started a 24 hour session to root my LG G5 SE (H840). So far so good, all things went fine (at the end...) but one thing is freaking me out. There is a little icon in the title bar showing for about 1 second and then it's gone for about 15-20 seconds, after that it is back again for 1 second and so on....
Apps i thought that could make this funny game i already blocked in the notification settings, but nothing helped until now. I also force stopped some updater i thought they could make this happen....some result. Of course i rebooted my device to get rid of this.....same result.
It's just a little thing but enough to annoy me..

Edit: It seem that it might could be a bug. Because i disabled all notifications for updates, the icon was still there, and gone, and there, and gone like i said before. BUT i then opened Google Play Store, went to settings and just checked my settings. I think it was enough that i only opened the settings, because the icon is no hidden...permanently.
