Apparently this model is not very popular. So to confirm that I indeed need to find this file and continue on with my research I'm need in of your expertise. Thanks a lot in advance!

[Q] Adding Locales to i8530

Hi Guys,
I have been searching whole of XDA for a solution to add locales/languages to i8530. The first Question asked by many were "why not try other roms?". Unluckily I cant flash any other i8530 roms because this phone is actually I8530 CN. When flashing JPLE6 rom flash fails when writing Modem.bin. So I unpacked the tar and replaced the modem.bin of JPLE6 with CLI1 of the stock rom. When flash completes evethng works fine except for the Modem. There is no IMEI! I referred many threads and tried other methods like changing framework.apk, SW_configuration.xml and so and so. Nothing worked :crying: At last one thread recommended in changing the cache.img and so i did that too. The language packs are available here when I use *272*<IMEI>#, but no effect when applying the pack.
Friends, I am a total noob regarding android and you must have understood from the previous para. But I am ready to spend as much time as I can to try the advices. I have already spent a month on this and am nowhere. Is there anyway I can modify the I8530ZCLI1 rom so that I can add locales/languages or is there anyway i can get a valid modem file that goes with other firmwares like JPLE6? Please help me!!!
THE STOCK FIRMWARE is : I8530ZCLI1_CHNLI1_China_Android_2.3.6
failed ones: I8530XXLEA_DBTLE3_8G, I8530JPLF2_I8530OJPLE6_HOME

[Q] Polaroid PMID920

Hello. I have read a lot of forums and I have not found a solution that works for my problem. I was trying to follow http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588991 this guide and made a mistake along the way. Now it will only boot into recovery mode. I have tried to do a data wipe/factory reset and it was no help at all. The tablet is a Polaroid PMID920. If anyone could help me with this I would greatly appreciate it.
Bump
I'm still looking for help with this issue. As I said I have tried to do a datawipe/factory reset and it didn't help at all.
Bump
Can someone please help me with this issue. I am still unable to fix it or get it to load at all. Only thing it will load is the recovery menu.

Still looking for help with this tablet.

ok I don't know what device it is
but you have to do the following :
1- look for android firmware for the device
2- download the correct odin software version that will be compatible with your device
3-put your device in downloading mode
4-flash the rom into your device using ODIN

Hello, thank you for replying.
I am not sure where to look for android firmware. I have searched the tablet's website and they don't have the firmware up for it, where would I look for it? I also don't know where to look for Odin software or to know if it's the correct one. I am pretty much a noob to all of this. Where would I look for Odin software? (Google?)

here you can look for the compatible odin version for your device (mostly support Samsung devices)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...08-2013-odin-3-09-odin-1-85-versions-t2189539
here you can download the version (both are good)

Manufacture is in the title. "Polaroid" Model is PMID920
Hey so I'm thinking about biting the bullet to finally trying to root & update this pmid920 to google play. But I guess I'm a little worried as this fellow messed his up & couldn't put stock fw back on it. http://www.FreakTab.com/showthread.php?t=11960 or if I just wanted to keep it simple should I just root & sideload apps to it? Or what do u think this fellow did wrong to totally mess it up? I just wanna keep it simple to let kids have some games on it & me to bs on it n such. Thanks in advance Ron.
