have a look at Pudding Camera too
If you have tried the new JB, the camera app is awesome, definitely better just because of the revamped panorama mode.

Anything else that the new JB camera brings to the table?
I believe that the official announcement mentioned something about better colors and sharpness. Autofocus definitely seems to work better in JB for me, it was a disaster in ICS.
I think that photo quality remains the same in jellybean. . I don't notice better colors or details.
Naaa bro

Just a headsup, I've modified the stock jb apk to include iso control. Should you choose to use it and still have root, open here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2206206

Lg camera pro is the best imo. both image and video recording quality is better than in stock jb app.

No sir,
the camera app on the 10.1 is nice but it is simply uncomparable to the stock camera.
1. it crashes a lot
2. it cannot take still photos while shooting videos
3. it has much less options than the stock one.
Thanks,
Doron

(Q) Which camera for aosp ROMs?

Not a big fan of Google camera. Love the lenovo camera but it's not super stable for me. Any recommendations?

(Request) Superior auto mode in 15/20 Mp?

It's too bad that the superior auto mode only works on 8mp. Is there any way to get it to work on higher resolutions?
I saw in the Z1 thread that they achieved it somehow a while ago but I do not know if the result is equally good.
Also, selecting HDR or some of the scenes in manual mode would be great as well.
Could it be done somehow?
