Nope...I am still good with what I said. You seem to forget where this came from. Yemen is not known as a tech hotspot....but is known as the headquarters of AQAP (Al Quida in the Arabian Peninsula) and a recruitment location for ISIS. Until someone can prove this root method is totally benign and not a back door to someone hacking my phone or keylogging or whatever....I think I'll pass.
Sent from my Note 3 via Tapatalk
Bootloader will never, I say NEVER, be unlocked.
The Yemen root method works great I used this one so to use SuperSu and not King root......

After going through the unlock process on the Verizon Note 2, would I be able to then use a MetroPCS sim card in it? I went through the entire process in Casual, it said I was unlocked, but when i popped my metro sim, it wouldn't recognize it.
I'm guessing I either messed up somewhere, or it isn't capable of doing it.
Can anyone shed some light?

No, the bootloader update is locked so you cannot go backwards at all. That's VZW's way of saying "we love our customers" :good:

I only have 3 root friends in real life. 2 of them will fight it till it works even if they don't know exactly what they are doing. The other one, is buying a windows phone next upgrade because he had a poor experience(because he bought the htc one x instead of the galaxy s3..)
Just curious if there is any buzz yet and if Verizon Note 3 will have unlock method and root. Also what was the Dev support like on the Note 2. Comparable to the GS4 community we have now?
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 4
This will probably get locked and told to move to the stickies for other device discussion since you're asking about the note 3. Just a heads up.

Ok. I made a 100% stock rom based on the touchwiz kitkat note 3 international leak. I need a couple people to test it for me because I don't have a developer edition device. Which is needed because of the updated kernel. Contact me at [email protected] on Hangouts. Warning retail owners do not message me because it won't work.

I'll just leave this here to test among the developer edition devices. Warning, may or may not work, I am not responsible for any damages to your device that you flash, and only DE devices...

You will need to install the kernal. Which SS does not do. Even getting it running you would have lots of issues with a 4.3 kernal.

EDIT:NVM I'm pretty sure I'm wrong after doing some research. You have to flash the bootloader (but don't, bad idea) Carry on.

Tgere is no 4.4.2 bootloader file for anything but N9005 and N900W8. DO NOT TRY AND FLASH A BOOTLOADER THAT ISNT YOUR OWN PHONES. You will hard-brick, and you will die.

There are security measures on the phone through knox to stop us from rooting this phone. Carrier specific I think to Verizon and AT&T looks like we might have to wait a while

Yes 5.02 had the exploit which was patched in the 5.1.1 update. And to add insult to injury if you flashed to 5.1.1 there's no flashing back (even using ODIN with stock builds) to 5.02. A lot of people permanently lost root this way.
I read that Verizon and AT&T will not boot anymore if rooted. It will show a black screen and message that the phone was rooted.

I have had 6 different Samsung devices and rooted all. Never had a single issue. I love rooting. So far I am surviving without it. I figure it might take a month or two til it's obtained. Canadian variants usually get root with T-Mobile.
