Stock recovery img? - Honor 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently rooted my honor 7 and it works but I was wondering if some one could link me to the stock recovery Img because twrp causes issues for me on boot (regularly auto booting into recovery even if I exit). Or if any one know how to install clock work mod on the Honor 7 could some one tell me how please? (preferably in english)

Use the multi-tool to do it. It will flash it automatically for you
i am not sure if you need to unroot it before flashing it
alternatively you can download the firmware, and use the huawei update extractor to obtain the *.img, and then flash it autmatically

(Urgent help) I tried to update my device and now it does not turn on

Trying to update my device (GR5 KII L33) I downloaded an update.zip file, and added it to the dload folder, but this file did not correspond to my phone, so now it does not turn on and only directs me to the TWRP. I have not found the original software KII L33 and I can not get my phone to turn on, although I have repeatedly installed my backup the phone just go to the TWRP
Please, I would be very grateful if you could help me restore my phone, or share the original file so I can install it, since so far I have not found a solution
If you're wanting to flash stock then there's a guide here.
If you're wanting a custom rom then in TWRP just do a full wipe (factory reset + system) and flash the ROM zip file just like normal.
Don't flash official ROM update zips in TWRP.
Donot flash official emui updates from twrp, as it contains update.app files

Restore Stock FW Huawei Mate 10 PRO (BLA-09)

Hi guys,
yesterday I succesfully unlocked bootloader on my Mate 10 PRO (Bla-L09) and installed LineageOS 15.1 with success.
The problem is that now I just want to recover my stock firmware on it.
I downloaded the update.zip from the site (for my branded phone) and it was C55 version but I don't know how to repair it. Just tried to reflash stock recovery and start recovery mode but with no success. Installation hang on 5% and then phone reboots automatically.
Already tried to flash SYSTEM.img (from Huawei Update Extractor) with fastboot: it flashes correctly but im impossible to boot the devices.
I am sure that I do something wrong. Can you help me please?
Hi,
Where have you found original stock rom. It is my impression that it is not available. Could you please provide a link?
Thanks

After flashing back stock system.img you need to Factory Reset in stock recovery. Alternatively use HWOTA: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/how-to/guide-mate-10-flash-oreo-update-package-t3716814
Always make a Twrp backup of your rom so you don't have to worry about flashing back like this.Thats what I do and I have never had a issue.

Desperate help needed to go back to stock (Mate 10 Pro EMUI 8 TWRP & MAGISK) BLA-L09

Desperate help needed to go back to stock (Mate 10 Pro EMUI 8 TWRP & MAGISK) BLA-L09
Hello there. I'm used to Samsung devices and the more I read about Huawei devices the more lost I feel about them.
So, my Mate 10 pro BLA-L09 is currently running Build Number 8.0.0.131(C782). It is rooted with Pretoriano's TWRP and Magisk (Using the All-In-One tool). Of course, I can't get any pending update installed. I would like to receive that EMUI 9 update. I've read people have been successful using HuRupdater and some others ended up with a hard bricked device. Some other people suggest the safest option is to uninstall Magisk, flash stock recovery and let the phone update itself.
So far, I've downloaded the same full 8.0.0.131(C782) firmware I'm on from Firmware Finder and downloaded Huawei Update extractor to extract the recovery from UPDATE.APP. However, instead of having one recovery file to extract, there are 3 Recoveries (named: RECOVERY_RAMDIS, RECOVERY_VBMETA, RECOVERY_VENDOR) and another 4 E-Recoveries.
Can anyone please give me some step by step guidance on what to do? I'll Paypal you a beer if I'm successful with the help.
Cheers!
May be you can simply dload the firmware and then it should be full stock if dload works. Dload guide is given in my signature

Thanks! But I think dload won't work with custom recovery, right? I'm on TWRP. And getting stock recovery is just what I'm trying to achieve.

Dload replaces your twrp and custom boot both. It will bring back your phone to full stock. Else you could extract the images from your firmware and then flash. Let me give you the commands.
Thanks! I just fixed my issue by flashing this through TWRP: it Installs the Oreo stock recovery.
The procedure was:
-Booted into TWRP
-Uninstalled Magisk (by flashing Magisk Uninstall Zip)
-Flashed the stock recovery (from the link below) through TWRP
-Reboot
-Check for system updates, phone will install them with no problems
Phone will be unrooted and will have stock recovery. Don't know if this will work for every stock build, it worked with mine 8.0.0.131(C782).

I was getting the command ready for you. Glad you fixed it yourself
[*]Run the command to boot to fastboot
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
[*]On fastboot screen, you will have bootloader state as Unlocked and FRP Unlocked.
[*]Flash the stock Recovery Ramdisk as
Code:
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk <Recovery_File_Name>.img
[*]If you have installed magisk, flash the stock boot ramdisk.img as
Code:
fastboot flash ramdisk <ramdisk_File_Name>

Having encrypted device and root, is it possible with Android Galaxy A8 (SM-A530F)?

So I have rooted my Android Galaxy A8 (SM-A530F) Android version 9. To do this I used TWRP to install RMM_Bypass_v3_corsicanu.zip, no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip-6.0 and Magisk-v19.3.zip. Everything works fine, but I cannot encrypt the device! I have also tried the fast encryption option with no luck.
I tried a couple of suggestions from the following forum post https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-8/how-to/guide-how-to-root-device-encryption-t3742493?nocache=1 namely where it says:
- Flash the stock book.img back in Odin and apply no-verity-opt-encrypt in TWRP. Use 7-Zip to create a tar only containing the stock BOOT.IMG and flash it in Odin using the AP slot.
- Flash back a TWRP backup taken of the boot partition before installing a root ROM, but after flashing no-verity-opt-encrypt.
After following the two options listed above the phone just un-roots!
I have also tried to shuffle the order in which the three zip files(mentioned earlier) are installed via TWRP with no success.
Does anyone know of any other solutions to having both encryption with root? Are there other better ways to root the phone that might enable encryption?
Grateful for any help, thanks.

hi, You can try this tool,
XiaoMiTool V2 - Modding of Xiaomi devices made easy for everyone
XiaoMiTool V2 is a easy to use tool to install rom on your Xiaomi device. Modding made easy for everyone! Download it for free now!
www.xiaomitool.com
Did you then fastboot install the stock boot.img?
hmm. i remember flasing the wrong stuff but I don't know if it was this phone. flash stock from using miflashtool
Hi @niyaalo welcome to the forum! That's a nice device you've got.
Just run the flash_all_except_storage.sh (or .bat if you're on windows)
from official stock Xiaomi MIUI fastboot firmware folder. You can download it from official Xiaomi website.
Preferably it should be the same firmware version that is currently installed on your device.
This should restore your firmware without affecting your user data.
Good luck!
