Hello!
What system/machine are you running it on?
I have the Surface Book with Windows 10. Even if I turn off Secure Boot and change the boot order, it won't start from my USB drive. I just used the .exe in the file, then attempted to boot from it. So far, no go
downloaded but how to install?
iso file mounted with power iso, but next are img files , not opening.
please help
windows 7 laptop 64 bit
Instructions to Launch Remix OS for PC. Download Remix OS USB Tool and Remix OS x86 ROM. Inject flash drive to your PC. Open Remix OS USB Tool and follow the directions to burn the flash drive. Reboot your PC. Press F12 while booting and enter Boot Menu. Select "USB Storage Device" as boot option under Legacy Mode.
Installation attempt
OK so on booting I found two option.
Guest mode & resident mode.
The former option resulted in reboot.
The later option
Created partitions.
No success. ?? Reboot again.
Any suggestion..
I will try on another PC
Screen shots attached.
The ISO file does not support GPT partition, so how do you dual boot it with Windows 10?
any option to install on hdd coz take 15min to boot
is it compatible with UEFI bios?
I'll try on my windows tablet anyways and see what happens

Sadly, no i guess.
Maybe someone else here has done it, he'll share it. 2 possibilities are there:
1. Run winxp/7 inside virtual box (maybe it wont work)
2. run Live ubuntu from a usb flash drive. It will definitely work but not easy.

See, people have already suffered the same problems and found solutions :good:
So I can't move files off or on to my device by dragging and dropping any more.
I have searched and found stuff about MTP drivers and work arounds but have not found anything that works. Anyone have any ideas about a fix.
I am running OSE, the latest build.

Could this be an issue with that specific ROM? My works fine with Window 8.1 64bit on either CM11 or AOSPA v4 beta. Have you tried PTP mode?
I guess I might have to flash another rom to find out.

Fastboot works on windows 8.0.
The update to 8.1 broke the drivers. No fastboot.
Just spent last night removing that update from my computer. Pain in the a.. but now my fastboot drivers are back up and working fine.

Mouse to lower right corner of screen >settings. >change pc settings. Then I think its the middle option >restart pc and save files.
Note... be sure to backup the files it says you will lose, and anything important.
This takes windows back to when your computer was new. Now I'm on a clean install of Windows 8.0 :good: and all my drivers work again

I'm back on Windows 7 for now.. trying to acquire a new DVD of my Windows 8 because of a scratch too deep to fix (as far as I can tell) ... I was on Windows 8.1 but corrupted data forced me to format (I broke it, haha!) and could only get my Windows 7 DVD to work.. Oh well.. been on the fence about linux so I may jump ship.
For me personally it was an mtp setting in the ROM I had forgot to check.

Install TWRP 2.3.6.2 in the simplest fashion
How to Install
It will require that drivers be installed and the device must be rootedDownload the file and unpack itUSB debugging must be enabled and connect the Gpad as MTPclick to run it with the right mouse button as an Administrator and follow the instructions for connection type "yes" to the recovery to start or "no" for exit
Download TWRP 2.6.3.2 installer
This is the easiest way without any write or copy something and paste to install TWPR 2.6.3.2.I have tested it with 10a/b/c and with Windows 7 64 bit it works great
Use only at your own risk, I take no responsibility if your device is damaged!
Sorry for my bad English!
Thanks a lot for this! Worked great on my new g pad.

Doesn't work for me either, unpacked as said, I have a rooted Gpad with USB-debugging enabled, MTP-mode, but it says that ADB isn't recognized as an batchfile or program...or something (translated from dutch...)

Is this twrp the same as the other one posted in the forum? Just an easier install for this one?
Thanks for this script... Today was a lazy day
Thanks for this. Not tried it yet as I already installed a version of TWRP, but can you update it to flash 2.7 that was announced today / yesterday?
Is the device repo to build this TWRP public?
My phone has an older version of TWRP and I want to update it so that I can update to Viper Sense 6.0 and I can not do so. I believe I need to reinstall adb and fastboot drivers, how would I go about that (where can I find the correct drivers)? I am on Windows 8.1.

Download the newest twrp image to your phone. Then go to the market and download flashify. It's a free app and it will flash the image for you from your phone. Worked perfect for me on my DNA. It's one way to just avoid using a computer to flash an image. Try that and report back.

Try installing PDAnet, it's installed some blanket drivers that have helped me out of recognition issues in the past!

Hi, the rom was replaced successfully on C200, thank you to all the members for this great tutorial/hack and your efforts.
The BLE remote also works but there is huge drop in performance, like YouTube takes forever to load video, I could only see the first frame of the video and then crash, all other general browsing in the OS is also slow. I wonder what might be causing it ???
it works perfectly fine for d200 v2 and now i can use adb as well as sideload any app if i want

When it gets stuck, you need to select the cmd window and press enter. If it still gets stuck or if it fails then you need to remove and reconnect the usb and try flashing again. That is the only way. Everyone faces these errors, the solution is to just try again.
