Quick question about the cameras on the v10.
I have the lgv10, and previously had the G4. On the G4, you could take a picture or record with both front and back cameras simultaneously for as long as you wanted, provided that you had the space to save the video. On the v10 with multi view recording, I can only record one one camera at a time, for 3 seconds each. Is there an option for simultaneous picture taking or recording on one of the front facing cameras and the rear camera for more than 3 seconds?

You can use snap option to do that and hold record button (60 sec max) but it shloud be better way for sure. Maybe in future firmware update? G5 have it already.

I am stock unrooted(till my 30 days are up) anyway I have seen a bunch of concerts recently and recorded video using my HTC Inspire, then with my brief time with the LG Thrill, and now with the Galaxy S 2 and while the galaxy s 2 seems to give the best quality recordings it seems while recording it will blur the video for a few seconds like its trying to focus then it will go back to normal it may do this once or twice during a 2-3 minute video yet I never had this problem with my Inspire or LG Thrill just wondering if I am missing some settings or what the deal is?

Most likely the other phones do not have the feature of
continuous auto focus during video recordings.
Perhaps one of the devs will include a mod in these custom roms
which can enable or disable the auto focus feature while recording
video clips.
(not many camera phones have auto focus during video recordings)
I guess I don't understand the continuous auto focus, to me that would mean it would auto focus always so I wouldnt get the blur issue. I went through the video recording settings didn't really see anything I could do that would remedy the situation.

Continuous auto-focus in i777 SGS2 means that it will
auto-focus as needed automatically while recording video.
So when the foreground or background changes and people
or objects are closer or further from the lens that's when
it will automatically try to auto-focus for optimal results.
I don't see too much of a problem on my test video but then it's not moving "too fast" like people/motion.. only cars passing by.

This happened to me while at the gun range, kind of anyways. The camera was blurry for the first half of the video like it wasn't even trying to focus, then when it did I guess it didn't go out of focus again. Very odd. Now that I'm on MIUI this doesn't happen, this video is from when it was stock unrooted.

To be honest, on the stock/unrooted version I was running, I was having the exact same difficulties. You would expect that the camera wouldn't have to test its entire focus length before finding one that works and goes back to it.
It's not as noticeable when recording objects far away whose distance isn't changing, but when something passes in front of the camera or you move it to something slightly closer and it loses focus at all, it takes a good 1-2 seconds to refocus. That's a lot of time.
I was just thinking, could this be caused by my video recordings running off a 16gb class 4 kingston sd card? If so would I need to up the class or could I just switch my video recordings to go onto the 16gb of internal storage space? I may just switch it to internal and try a video and see if that is part of the problem.
And not like HTC camera app for example, i mean simultaneously activated and trigered photo with front and rear camera.
And final product is like from picture below, front camera photo is placed in one of the corners.
Chipset Snapdragon 800 here.
No one knows?
On the G4, you have the option of capturing a video with both cameras at the same time, not one by one. Do G5 or V10 have that option?
It's called Multi-View, inside the Mode button on the camera. You can take pictures or video with all 3 cameras (normal, wide, and selfie) at the same time.
In all demos i saw that multi view requires you to film 5 seconds with one camera, stop, 5 with another and so on and it just stitches them together. Can you confirm that you can film at the same time? Do you know of a demo? Thanks, Daniel
I just took a video using it and played it. Confirmed that all 3 cameras took video at the same time.
Hi to all,
This phone look so good. I have OP5 and i want better phone with better camera. I have some questions:
1. Slow motion - is the same 120fps at 720p or it is 240fps at 1080p?
2. Time Lapse - can it record at 4K? At which speed? ( x6, x10, x36 etc...)
3. Is there a portrait mode?
4. Point zoom - can it be use in time laps?
I see many videos but i really cant find slow motion and time laps.
And if you can chose between wide angle and telephoto x2 what will you chose?
P. S. Did you think the LG V30 have good zoom that doesn't lost so much details when you zoom x2 or x8?
It's 720p @120fps
Time lapse won't be at 4k for any Android
No portrait mode as no telephoto lense.
I will go with wide angle any day as I am into taking pics that can gather larger data ( field of view) and not much into taking pics of people ( telephoto is basically and better used for this)
Thx a lot for answer. Too bad that V30 (multimedia phone) didn't have 240fps.
I have a new question, did V30 have same hardware front face camera like LG G6? Because G6 have very bad front face camera.

Hi I don't have the phone but trying to get as much information about it as possible, as far as I understand the front camera is exactly the same module as the G6, it's basic, and selfie lovers as well as bloggers are supposed to be using the rear camera instead. For front camera performance the HTC U11 as well as the Nokia 8 phones are recommended.

I don't know if it is the "exact" same camera, but every review I've seen says it inferior to most if not all the other flagship phones (S8, note 8, U11, iPhone and so on).
It a bit of a let down, but I don't really use the front camera, so not a big deal to me.

Yes i see that LG V30 have better back camera much more clear and bettwr then Note8.
Hello! Anyone has problem with s9 front facing camera after March patch updated? I got issue with selfie camera that now has two button for single selfie and wide selfie. The wide selfie button working fine but the single selfie cropped my photo after shot. It also affected all the apps that have selfie camera, all the photo come out cropped. Removed pro mode video is already making me feel frustrating but this one even more. Anyone help me solve this please!
Same here, I didn't notice it until I read your post. Changing the ratio had no effect. I don't usually take selfies, but knowing that it is broken frustrates me nonetheless.
Just hold and drag it to the fixed button. Like it's not there
Go under camera settings then shooting methods and make sure floating shutter button is off
Oh shoot. I think I am talking about something totally different. Sorry
Is your ratio at top of screen set to full or 9:16 vs 1:1?
