Good day,
If not successful you try a roll back from 4.4.2 to 4.3, there was a problem.
Can't go to droidboot (press Volume "-" + Power).
Loaded safe mode.
Tell me how to recover the Droidboot.

Hi, I just got my venue 7 tablet a few days ago. The update 4.3 was automatically installed, but the system just crashed after I installed and uninstalled a few programs (some of them from unknown resource). Fortunately I can still enter the recovery mode.
It will be a big favor if anyone can help me to build a factory data backup file that can be restored by the recovery mode. Dell venue 7 is good but I hate to call dell service.
Thanks.

You don't need to build anything. The last android version is already on the device for a reset.
You will be starting from scratch just like when you purchased it.
Tap your Apps icon.
Go to Settings.
Select Backup & reset.
Choose Factory data reset.
Choose Reset tablet.
After reading the warning, tap “Erase everything” if you’re sure you wish to continue.
Didn't you read that his android has crashed totally? Probably he has a bootloop.
Jason, try going to fastboot first. Shut down your Venue then simultaneously push power and vol down. Select with vol keys option Recovery and apply with power key. Device will reboot to recovery mode. You will see an Android with exclamation mark. Now push simultaneously power and vol up for 1-2 seconds. Then select wipe data/factory reset with vol keys and apply with power key. That's all. Good luck.

No I did not read where he said his tablet crashed completely because that's not what he said. He said
"the system just crashed after I installed and uninstalled a few programs (some of them from unknown resource). Fortunately I can still enter the recovery mode." And he did not say he is in a bootloop. You took that for granted.
So don't use that attitude with me. You are the one that didn't read what he said.
I forgot the pin to my Dell Venue 7 Android tablet.
I was looking to factory reset the password however. When i acess the boot manue, Hold down power + vol down, the only options I have are
Reboot Droidboot

so to reset your tablet,
reboot to fastboot (what you just did)
use the volume and power keys to select recovery
wait and your tablet should show the android logo on its back
then hold volume up and the power button for 2-3 seconds
now there should be a option that lets you reset your tablet
So I have tried this multiple time with no success is there another way or can you upload a video please[email protected]
Dell Venue 7 HARD RESET
It works, after being in : Reboot Droidboot
reboot
Recovery
Power off
power button to enter the option appears recovey and saying no commands android
then you let down the volume button and more powe appear for three seconds and recovery options and selecionas factory reset
I've tried this multiple times and it doesn't work. I get to the screen with the Droid on it's back and nothing. I tried the V+ button and nothing. I tried the V- button, still nothing. Tried both with power button, and nothing. Please help.
Hi !
My dell venue 7 3740 is not booting into recovery mode when I press and hold vol down and power button until dell logo comes. Instead of the droidboot, the device boots up normally.
Whats interesting is when I use an app for booting into recovery, it boots normally.
Any Idea what is the fault?
*I even tried factory reset.

If i'm not wrong droidboot is the bootloader interface or fastboot
So maybe your fastboot is damaged or you erase it try again but press vol down before power button
You can access to it in adb if still is in you tablet
Adb reboot bootloader
But i don't know what happens after so it's at your own risk
Hi.
I have Venue 3840 where the client has forgotten security code, but I can not enter the recovery to take /wipe date/ When I turn the tablet with a combination Power + Volume - the tablet starts only in safe mode but not in recovery mode.
u just need unclock bootloader for recovery mode. follow this guide http://opensource.dell.com/releases/Venue_8_3840_Merrifield/developer-edition/Doc/
Everythink is OK, now I got new Android. :good:
I want to enter recovery mode on my Dell Venue tablet, but everytime I do the Power + Vol. Down or Power + Vol. Up and neither of those combinations work.
How can I enter to recovery mode in that specific tablet?
Please help
