I'm wondering if there's a way to customize it so that the Clearview case music buttons work with other music apps playing i.e Pandora or any other items

Is there any way to create a slide show in this widget ? And is there any way to use it as a pip ? Meaning could i play a movie in the little frame and touch outside to swap screens just like pip on a tv an multi task ( answer a text or email with out stoping the movie)?
There might be a 3rd party widget on the market somewhere to do the slideshow. It's unlikely that anyone would make a video player widget like that though. Just bookmark your spot and continue where you left off. It's not like you can watch and text at the same time
I was a long time ios user that bought the galaxy note, and my biggest issue is controlling music apps.
On the iphone from the lockscreen regardless of what app I'm playing from (spotify, stitcher, ipod, whatever) I could easilly pause and play whatever I'm listening to from one interface.
I haven't found a way to do this with my Note. What I've resorted to doing is having a seperate spotify app widget, and a stitcher app widget, and an audible widget on my lockscreen so I can pause and play each of them pending on what I was listening to.
Please tell me there is a way around this.
Most of the good music apps have a setting to place controls on the lockscreen. Look in the apps settings.
beats audio
you should put beats audio on your phone

Yeah, thats what I have, but thats what I'm trying to avoid (having individual apps having lock screen controls). So on my lockscreen now I have A widget for stitcher, spotify, and audible. I was hoping to have one thing that allows me to pause/play what I'm listening to like I can on an ios device.

Sorry. I guess I wasn't really clear in my post. You don't need the widgets or icons in the lockscreen. Just go to the application and there "should" be a setting to allow the player in the lockscreen. Then, when you are playing something it will show in the lockscreen. But only while it is playing. Otherwise it is hidden, not visible. This works for my Poweramp app. I don't have the apps you listed so I can't get any more specific than this. Hope it helps.
Found the app Media Buttons
Does exactly what I needed. Now I can pause music from any app without having to think about whats playing.
Is there a way to get the name of the artist that is playing in Play Music to Tasker?
I know that the GoneMad Music Player supports %MARTIST out to Tasker, but it cannot stream from my Google Music account.
Perhaps this isn't even the best way to accomplish what I'm trying; what I want is to display the artist's name and the track name when music is playing, and to hide all text when it is not. I want to do this on the desktop, as well as on the lock screen.
What I've been able to do so far is to have Tasker send the variable %MTRACK to a variable named %CURRENT_TRACK because when the music stops or is paused, %MTRACK does not update. Tasker checks to make sure that music is still playing, and if not it sets %CURRENT_TRACK to empty. Minimalistic Text displays this, and is updated by Tasker every time %CURRENT_TRACK is changed. I would like to replicate this behaviour with the artist name as well.
Ideally the music controls would also disappear, but that I'm sure I can accomplish if I bang around in UCCW for long enough.
Phantom Music Control works on the lockscreen, but the widget doesn't disappear when running on the desktop for me.
Greetings,
I don't like the fact that Google Music hijacks my lockscreen with its widget while playing. Is there a way to remove that feature?
Additionally, are there any other music apps that support Google Music (especially tapping into the cloud)? Finally, do any of those other music apps have the ability to disable their lockscreen widget, if they have one?
Matt
I'm looking for an solution to this problem too!
So I've been running AOKP, and one of the features I love on it is the navbar widgets. I use them all the time to control my music, even with across different apps. All I need to do is add the widget for the relevant app, and I have controls which I can access from any screen, and the widget won't disappear which can sometimes happen to the notification shade controls. This video shows how I use them:
However I'm looking to change ROMs because AOKP are simply too slow development-wise, but I'm wondering what options I have which will give me similar functionality to this? Preferably something as streamlined as possible. I know you can now swipe down on any app to show the status bar and pull down the notification shade, but like I said earlier, sometimes the player controls in the shade can disappear if the app has been killed or inactive, and it just takes up space there anyway.
