Hi, i want ask if someone can update the drivers of the camera to add the 4k rec, one of the 2 versions of xiaomi mi4c have the same sensor (samsung s5k3m2 ISOCELL) and LETV X500 too!! and it can record in 4k, so i think the problem of redmi note 2 are the drivers and libraries, some one can do a porting ?

Can be mixed the driver from the xiaomi's github with the kernel's source of other phone with the same soc (sony_30.0.A.1.35 and HTC E9a53mldtul-3.10.61-g5e0fd0f ) ?
How to make some sources:
Add sugar,5 eggs,some random other phone source and mix all

OF course this phone can record 4k at 30FPS. Now on CM/AOSP u can go to 720p 120FPS. But Xiaomi blocked the power of this phone on MIUI. Without sources we cant do anything i think.

ive no personal experience with the N1, but i can say that ive really enjoyed my mipad. im impressed with the build quality.
i run the latest "global" miui rom rooted.
also xiaomi is expected to release the source code before to much longer.. which means 3rd party roms would be quick to follow.

If you buy is the Chinese version, there are a lot of function is not supported, such as Google Play.

i bought mine from china (i live in the US) it came with a version of miui that had several Chinese apps that looked to do similar stuff to google.. and it didnt have any google apps. once i swapped to the global version of miui i really liked the tablet.
from miui.com you can download 3 roms
mipad china:
-developer
-stable
mipad global:
-stable
if you install cwm you can easily root any of them, if you stick with original recovery you can only root the developer.
also there are several developers in russia and india that are just waiting for source code to drop. and its expected to happen fairly soon (assuming mipad follows the general path of other xiaomi products)

Xiaomi is usually hesitant to release the code, sometimes due to too much pressure created they may release all at once as happened in the beginning of this year with mi 3, mi 4, redmi note all code being released, except Mi Pad.
Lets hope Xiaomi releases it soon so that Lag Free Roms can be developed for this beastly device!

No, they did not. Don't expect anything, the Redmi series often does not get any updates at all apart from Miui interface.

Yesterday arrived mine LeMax2, and this weekend I work to developed first Custom ROM like Evolution for X900: it´s called Revolution . My new blog are ready, http://revolutionlemax2.blogspot.com.es/
In next month I begin to developed Cyanogen, but it´s a slow and a hard work, I don´t promise anything.... but I try it.

I want developed the same ROM´s for X820, this weekend make all test. X820 works under Android 6.0 and it´s a little different to Android 5.0.

Please use Indian 16s ROM as base otherwise Indians won't be able to use 4G calling. VoLTE is not working correctly on all other ROMs.

So I'm planning on buying the Redmi Note 3 with 3gb of ram and the snapdragon processor. My question is, is there any good roms for this device? I hace checked the threads here and most people seem to have quite many problems with the few roms that exists.
There are some good ROMs like CM13 or RR, using RR since a few days and I have no problems.

Resurrection Remix Rom.
CM13 , RR and Flyme OS are stable roms now .
The game is now available for download on their official website. My experience so far is really terrible. It is basically unplayable with fps dropping to zero. Funny how mi5 is listed as one of the compatible device for this game yet it is unplayable.
Did anyone, other than myself, tried to play it?

That is the issue of fortnite with ram management
I f***king hate epic games for listing 3gb as minimum and optimizing it for literally only for the phones with 4gb of ram or higher

It runs smooth even at high settings on my friend's zuk z2 which by the way has 4gb of ram with sd820 but where as my phone which is 3gb version of same phone which is zuk z2 it lags af
I was searching in mi5 cuz it is the only phone(mostly I'm not sure) listed in compactable list and has almost same specs as my zuk z2
